The Joy of the Lord - Bro. T. Stephen

Beloved children of God in Christ, I greet and bless you all in the matchless name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. On this November 4th, I am very happy to meet you through this Auspicious word. May the Lord bless you!

The special Auspicious word that the Lord has given us today is from the Book of Nehemiah, chapter 8, verse 10. “For the joy of the LORD is your strength”

Many of you are sitting with broken hearts, saying, “I have no strength, no capacity, and no power. I have neither the mental nor the physical strength to face the continuous losses that are coming my way.”

Because of this, some of you are hesitant to go to work, wondering whether you should go or not. Some are even wondering, “Should I go for ministry today, or should I cancel it? I have no strength at all.” Others are thinking, “Should I go out today or not? No, I cannot do anything today. Let me just sit or lie down.”

No! Today, the Lord reminds you that Christ, who strengthens you, is with you. Through Christ who strengthens you, He will give you the strength and vitality to overcome every challenge.

The Lord says, “The joy of the Lord is your strength.” What does this mean? A person’s strength is closely connected to how joyful they are in the Lord and how closely they remain in fellowship with Him.

If so, what does this verse teach those who feel weak and lack strength? They must learn to rejoice in the Lord. But how can we remain joyful even in the midst of losses? What good counsel does the Lord give us? Learn to be content with what you have.

When you keep thinking, “What I have is not enough, not enough, not enough,” you will never experience joy. That is where murmuring begins, where weakness develops, where unbelief takes root, and where unnecessary negative words come out of our mouths. But when you learn to be content with what you have, joy will fill your heart.

Contentment is essential. When you are satisfied with what you have, you will be happy. But when you are never content with what you have, that happiness will gradually be taken away from you.

So, what does it mean to have joy in the Lord? It means joyfully accepting what the Lord has given you. When you develop this attitude, the Lord will do great and unsearchable things that you do not know.

The Scriptures say that those who are faithful in a few things will be made rulers over many things. In other words, when you remain faithful in what you have, find joy in it, and live with contentment, the Lord will elevate you to greater riches, influence, positions, and promotions. He will make you a ruler over many things.

Not only that, the Lord says, “Do you think you have no strength? Take a step forward with the strength you already have.”

Remember Gideon. When the Lord called him, he said, “I do not have the capacity to do this. I am the least in my father’s house, and my clan is the weakest in Manasseh. How can I accomplish such a great task, Lord?” But the Lord said to him, “Go in this might of yours. Have I not sent you?”

There are children of God who are thinking, “I cannot do it. I cannot go. I cannot accomplish this.” Some are saying, “I cannot clear this examination.” Others who studied medicine abroad are saying, “After returning to India, I am unable to pass the eligibility examination. I do not have the wisdom or ability to clear it.”

To all of you, the Lord says today, “Go with the strength you have! Go with the knowledge you have! Step forward in faith! If you believe, you will see the glory of God.”

On that day, the Lord told Gideon, “Go in this might of yours. Am I not sending you? I will be with you and help you accomplish it.” The Lord fulfilled His promise, and Gideon returned with victory. In the same way, I bless you in the name of Jesus that your life will also be established in victory!

Testimony

Sister Delsi Gracelin:
“Praise be to the Lord! I had been working without receiving a salary for nine years in a government-aided school. In this situation, I was told that I would receive a salary only if I passed the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET).

“I emailed Brother Stephen, explained my situation, and requested prayer. Brother prayed earnestly for me and sent me a reply along with the Mangala Vaarthai. After receiving his prayerful response, I wrote the TET examination with confidence.

“During the one-day fasting meeting, Anbarin Paadhathil, Brother Stephen would often declare the Mangala Vaarthai: ‘Layer upon layer of blessings’ (Adukkadukkaana Aaseervaadham). I held on to that promise and prayed, saying, ‘The Lord will fulfil this promise in my life too. Amen!’

“What a miracle! On the first day, I received approval for the post. On the second day, I received the good news that I had passed the Teacher Eligibility Test. On the third day, I received my salary along with the arrears!

“I kept listening to and singing the 2026 promise song of God’s Love Ministries, ‘You Crown the Year with Your Goodness’ (Varushathai Nanmaiyinaal Mudisoottuveer). Just as the song declares, the Lord crowned this year with goodness for me. The Lord heard all my prayer requests, stood by me, accomplished everything, took hold of my situation, and fulfilled His promises!”

The Lord will do the same for you as well!

We have a special promise song for 2026 titled, “You Crown the Year with Your Goodness.” As soon as you finish listening to this Mangala Vaarthai, listen to that song. It is a prophetic song declaring the good things the Lord will do for you throughout this year. Be sure to listen to it immediately after this program. May the Lord perform miracles in your life!

Prayer

Loving God, we thank You. In the name of Jesus, I bless Your children. For all those who have been saying, “I have not seen any goodness this year,” perform layer upon layer of goodness in their lives during these remaining months of November and December. We thank You for granting them the grace to testify, “At least towards the end of this year, the Lord did good things for me!”

I place all the blessings declared in our promise song for this year, “You Crown the Year with Your Goodness,” upon the heads of everyone, and I bless them in Your name. May the Lord cause them to witness wonders!

We also thank You for those celebrating their birthdays and wedding anniversaries today. According to Your Word, “The eternal God is your refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms,” may wonderful things happen in their lives from this very moment! In Jesus’ name, Heavenly Father, we pray.
Amen.
