I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you today is from the book 2 Kings 19: 32-34.Therefore thus says the Lord concerning the king of Assyria, “He shall not come into this city, Nor shoot an arrow there. Nor come before it, with shield. Nor build a siege mound against it.”By the way that he came, by the same way shall he return. And he shall not come into this city. Says, the Lord. For I will defend this city, to save it. For My own sake. And for My Servant David’s sake.”
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, from the above context we understand that the king of Assyria was the biggest enemy of King Hezekiah. He gave him continuous trouble, in such a manner that King Hezekiah could not rule over his kingdom peacefully. He came with his army every now and then and disturbed him, troubled Hezekiah. Once the king of Assyria came with one lakh and eighty five thousand warriors and surrounded his city with the hope of capturing the whole land of Judah, and bring it under his control. Thus they encamped around Judah. Hezekiah did not know what to do, at this point of time.
King Hezekiah knew well that only God of Israel could help him at this juncture. It was a crisis that could be solved only by God. He knew that he did not have the strength and courage to fight against one lakh and eighty five thousand warriors. All of a sudden they were surrounded by the enemy. So he went to the temple of God and lifted up his heart, towards God and prayed saying, “’O Lord God of Israel, one who dwells, between the Cherubim. You are God. You alone of all the kingdom of the earth, You have made heaven and earth. Incline Your ear, O Lord and hear. Open Your eyes, and see and hear the words of Sennacherib, whom he has sent to reproach the living God. Now therefore, O Lord, our God I pray save us from his hand that all the kingdoms of the earth may know, that You alone are the Lord, God.
King Hezekiah cries out to God. “Lord incline your ear, and hear my cry. Open Your eyes and see our affliction. Hear the cry of our troubled heart. Let Your eyes see our problems, says, Hezekiah, before God. He pleads with God to deliver them from this sudden attack or situation. He cries out to God to rescue them from the cruel and most powerful army of one lakh and eighty five thousand soldiers.
God who is a God of mercy and compassion heard his prayer. God informed Hezekiah through prophet, Isaiah that He had heard his prayer. God conveyed His message through Prophet Isaiah, saying, “Listen carefully, do not be afraid of the King of Assyria, about whom you are so scared, for he shall never enter into your city.”Just as God sent his message through his prophet He fulfilled what he spoke through Isaiah. Now King Hezekiah was free from fear. He reigned peacefully thereafter.
Today the Lord is speaking through me, that God will defend and protect your family from all your enemies. Just as God heard the prayer of Hezekiah God will hear your prayers too. God says, “For before they call I will answer. And while they are yet speaking, I shall hear.” You might have been praying for a particular problem for a long period of time, but today the Lord is going to answer your prayers and intervene into your problem, that has messed up your family life and He will solve the problem for you. The enemy of your family shall never more enter into your family to disturb you any further. Just as God sent prophet Isaiah to convey the message to King Hezekiah God has sent His servant to convey the good news that the enemy who had been causing a lot of trouble in your family shall no more interfere in your life. God is putting an end to your enemy. The Bible says, “For a man’s enemies will be those of your own household.”
King David’s enemies were the members of his own family. But God was in favour of David so He saved him from the hands of all his enemies, because he feared the Lord God of Israel and humbled himself before God. He says, “As I have set the Lord, always before me, He is at my right hand and I shall not be moved.” Likewise if you fear the Lord and humble yourself before Him and walk pleasing unto God He will protect you and your family from all your enemies. May the Lord help you to fear the Lord and acknowledge him in all your ways. God bless you.
Prayer: Our loving heavenly Father, we thank you for this blessed day. Thank You Lord for telling us through this message that You will protect us and our family. Help us to seek God and lift up our hearts to God, in prayer like Hezekiah. Thank You Lord , for hearing the prayers of Hezekiah and delivering them from the Assyrian army. May Your name alone be glorified.
In Jesus name we pray.
Amen.
I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you today is from the book of Hebrews 13:5, “Let your conduct be without covetousness and be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”
From the above context we learn that our conversation should be without, covetousness. For it is an immoderate desire of riches and being over anxious for worldly things. And not being in any way useful to others. Instead of making use of one’s talent for the glory of God, they engage themselves in laying up treasures for a man’s own self. This is a very great evil. A believer’s conversation should be seasoned with grace. Godly people are expected to deal uprightly.
Secondly be content with such things as you have. A true child of God should be content with such things as they have, may be present losses, burdens, present reproaches and afflictions, and showing contentment with these things, shows your gratitude for every mercy that God has shown to you, and your ultimate submission to God.
Thirdly , He has said, “I will never leave thee nor forsake thee.” This is a promise that God made to Joshua, and this belongs to all the believers. “As I was with Moses So I will be with you.”That is why David says, “I have been young, and now am old. Yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken nor his descendants begging bread.” God will not leave them to themselves, nor will He leave them, destitute of his presence. Though he sometimes hides his face and withdraws himself, yet not wholly will He forsake His children.
The above context assures you of God’s awesome providence and His mighty arm of protection. The above verse expresses His good counselling to the church of the Hebrews. He instructs them with a view that they might not be forsaken by God. What God really expects of you is to be content, with what you have, and to be thankful, to God for all that He has blessed you with.
Today we find that many are dissatisfied with what they have. But the Bible says, Godliness with contentment is great gain. Godliness is a God centred life. Are you God centred? Are you focused on things pertaining, to God and His kingdom? Then the Lord will bless you with all the things of this world. Good health, good job, wealth and prosperity. For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro, throughout the whole earth to show Himself, strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him. God bless you.
Prayer: Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Thank you for teaching us to be content with what we have. Help us to be God centred. And be focused on the things of God rather than worldly things. Teach us to be loyal to God and those around us. You are a God who has not forsaken us. We thank you Lord for your eyes that watch over us and for supporting those who are loyal to You.
In Jesus name we pray.
Amen.
I greet and bless every one of you in the Mighty name of our Lord Jesus Christ. The Blessed word that the Lord has given for you today is from the book of 2 Peter 3:9, “ The Lord is not slow to fulfil his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you. “
From the above context we see that the Lord is not slack concerning His promise that He has made in our lives. We are hooked into a world of the moment and a life of the limited, while God is unfolding His plans and purposes for the benefit of mankind. God is not slow to fulfil His promises to us, and any perceived delay in the mindset of man, cannot invalidate the perfect, unfolding plan of God. People who believe the fast approaching day of the Lord, are unaware that every passing moment, is not slackness on God’s part, or indifference towards man ‘s evil ways, but just another expression of His long-suffering grace and His unwillingness that any should perish, but that all should turn from their evil ways, to Jesus, their glorious Saviour.
Every day that passes is a good example of God’s long-suffering grace towards the children of men. May we come to the unshakable knowledge that our times are in His hands and at His appointed time and in His designated way, we will one day step into His presence, with hope and delight. Whenever God promises the children of Israel, He never fails to fulfil His promise for He is not slack concerning His promise. It may be a trivial matter, yet He keeps His promise. I wish to recollect an incident that goes to prove that our God is an unchanging God. He is the same yesterday, today and forever.
A Brother named Charles Raj completed his B.Sc Nursing and with an intention of working in the Health Department, in Dubai, he wrote the DHA Exam, four times but he failed in all his attempt. We were then conducting online programmes. On 5th September, he happened to listen to our message. “ God Who Grants Wisdom” was the title of our message for the month of September. He took the message on wisdom that was preached, for himself. And he tried to improve himself as per the word of God instructed. “The word spoken was about improving your knowledge and wisdom. “If any one lacks wisdom let him ask of God who gives to all liberally without reproach, and it will be given to him. “ So in spite of his failure he took the word of God and applied it in his life. He started to get extra coaching to excel in the DHA Exam in order to work in Dubai.
This time, having improved on his learning the subject matter, he performed well in his exam and the Lord heard his prayer. As per his desire, he has secured the job in Dubai. Not only did he excel in his exam and secure a job, in Dubai in the same Department of Health, for which he longed for, but he had also made a prayer request through on line prayer for his brother who was unmarried over a long period of time. By the grace of God his brother’s marriage also took place recently. Thus we see how God works miracles for those who truly believe in His Name. There is power and life in His word. The Bible speaks about the Lord’s faithfulness. Sometimes even when we do not know what He is doing in our lives, He is working behind the scenes and knows exactly what He is doing. Now that is a real comfort to you I suppose. I believe that this testimony of Bro. Charles Raj, will be encouraging to those of you reading this message. Believe in the word of God and accept it for yourself and apply them for your benefit as Raj applied it in his life and therefore was successful in his attempt. Believe in the Lord and you shall see the glory of God. God Bless you.
Prayer: Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Loving Father, Praise Your wonderful Name for your long-suffering attitude towards us . Thank You that every day of our life is known to You and that You perform miracles in our lives, to fulfil your promise. Help us to accept the word that proceeds from the mouth of the Elders, and apply it in our lives for our own benefit.
In Jesus name we pray.
Amen.
I greet and bless every one of you in the Mighty name of our Lord Jesus Christ. The Blessed word that the Lord has given for you today is from the book of Genesis 28:15, “Look, I am with you and will watch over you wherever you go. I will bring you back to this land, for I will not leave you until I have done what I have promised you.”
From the above context we understand that our God keeps His promise. It is very encouraging for every child of God to be reminded so emphatically that the Lord is caring for us and watching over us no matter where we go or what we do and that He will be with us always and will certainly fulfil every promise and pledge that He has purposed towards us. This promise was made by the God of Israel and Creator of the Universe, Who neither slumbers nor sleeps Whose word is sure, Whose promises are guaranteed.
When God wants to make an important point, He will often use the world “BEHOLD” in Scripture. He said, “Behold! I will not leave you until I have done what I have promised!” But God emphasises in the strongest possible terms that He will be with Israel and will keep him and bring him back to the land, promised to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. What an amazing God we have! The God that stands fast on His promises to Israel, is the same God who will keep his promise to you also. The Lord has promised to go before you and will instruct and counsel you, in the way you should go. He promised Israel who was on his way to Padan Aram, to his uncles house. He said to him, “I am with you and will watch over you wherever you go. I will bring you back to this land, for I will not leave you until I have done what I have promised you.”He was travelling all alone. He did not know about the dangers that awaited him in that strange land. So He trusted in the God of Israel.
Many of you reading this message are distressed because you have made all efforts to go abroad to make your living. But you have not been able to do so. Some of you have lost your business, and some are doing business at a loss. You are unable to see any profit. Hence you are struck with pain and disappointment. God has given certain promises to you and you are anxiously waiting for God to fulfil His promise. Believe and you will see how God performs miracles for you. For He who promised is able to save you to the uttermost. Today God has descended in a marvellous manner to perform miracles for you. For He is a God who does not fail in His promise. Hallelujah!
The Bible says, “Surely there is a hereafter and your hope will not be lost.” The God who planted the ear shall He not hear? He who formed the eye, shall He not see your state of affairs? God will break all the obstacles that prevent you from going abroad. Or that stands as a hindrance to your progress in life. He will surely take you to the country you desire to go. God, who was with Jacob on his way to his uncle’s place, will also break all the barriers that stand in your way and take you to your desired destination. Rejoice in your hearts that His promises and pledge will similarly stand-fast and surely be fulfilled. For Behold, we have a God Who has promised to watch over us, protect us, keep us, and cherish us. For all the Promise of God in Him are yes and amen in Christ. All you need to do is to believe and receive His blessings. God bless you.
Prayer: Our Loving Heavenly Father, we thank you for this blessed day. Lord we thank you for your promises. We also thank you because you keep us, protect us and guide us in our day to day life. We thank You for keeping your promise. If You do not look into our problems then we will be doomed. We wish to shine in our lives. Therefore have pity on us and fulfil our desires.
In Jesus Name we pray.
Amen.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that the Lord has given you for today, is from Psalm 119:71 “David says, It is good for me that I have been afflicted, that I may know your statutes”.
My Dear Brothers And Sisters, from the above context we understand that David, was the anointed king of Judah. But He was chased by his own uncle and the king of Israel, namely Saul. So most of his days were spent in the deep woods and in the mountains with his band of supporters. Even during his younger days, he was despised by his own father and brothers, He was a shepherd, taking care of his father’s sheep. But God chose him and anointed him to be the king, after king Saul. In fact he was mistreated by others. His wife Michal was given in marriage to another man Palti, while David was hiding in the woods, in fear of king Saul. Secondly he was always chased by king Saul after he had won the battle with the Philistine giant Goliath. People applauded him over his victory but Saul became jealous. And wanted to somehow kill him. His own son Absalom rebelled against him. But he was killed in the battle against the Philistines. Thus we see how he was afflicted in his life, and so he says, “It is good for me that I have been afflicted, that I may know your statutes.”
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, Anything that will lead a man to obey God is a blessing and a favour. Whatever leads a sinner to secure the salvation of his soul is a gain to him. No matter what it may cost; no matter what he may be required to give up; no matter to what persecutions and troubles it may expose him; no matter what he may suffer, or how long he may suffer, no matter though poverty, contempt, or may be the consequence of his sufferings, yet it is a gain to him; and he will be thankful for it in the end – for nothing that can be endured in this life can be compared with the glory which shall be revealed to us in heaven.” Therefore David says, “It was good for me to have been afflicted.” For God always, expects us to walk in the ways of God.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, Lettie Burd Cowman who wrote the Daily Devotion “ Streams in the Desert,” herself admitted that the dark period of her life were the most closest, moment of time with God. Lettie Cowman faced an incredible trial while her husband, Charles Cowman was in his sick bed. This is the time she wrote her master piece namely “ Streams in the Desert” and “Springs in the Valley.” You too might be going through such hardship. But Remember God has dealt with you better than you deserve. For He does everything out of His love for you. and for your good. Many have knowledge, but little judgment; those who have both, are made stronger against the snares of Satan, and made fit for the service of God. You are often most tempted to wander away from God, when you find yourself free and easy in the world. You should leave your concerns to the disposal of God, for you know not, what is good for you. Say unto the Lord “ Lord, You are our bountiful Benefactor; incline our hearts to faith and obedience.” Because the proud are full of the world, and its wealth and pleasures; make them senseless, secure, and stupid. God visits such people with affliction, that they may learn his statutes.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, Are you going through affliction.? Has the second wave of Corona attacked your dear one? Have you lost someone in your family? Are you going through heavy loss in your business? Is someone causing disturbance to you at your work spot? Are you being despised because your are dark in complexion? Are you not able to cope up with city lifestyle? Is someone ragging you for silly reason? Do you feel like ending up your life? Well remember God loves you all the more, For it is He who has created you and not you yourself. Whatever may have been the form of your affliction, understand that God has allowed the affliction for the good of your life. Only then you begin to draw closer to God. You begin to read the word of God, You might spend more time in prayer. It would have been good for you, as it was good for David. And this will be the experience of all the righteous. And this is the time, when you learn from the scriptures, the commandments of God. For this is the tendency of affliction; and this is an advantage and a good experience to anyone who goes through affliction. Take it in good spirit though it is often difficult but the end will be glorious. God Bless You.
Prayer: Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Lord we thank you for making us to understand that affliction in one’s life is for his own benefit. Give us the strength to bear it patiently. Help us to be like David, for even though he was despised, he acknowledged God as his Master and Saviour of his life. May we draw close to God when we go through affliction rather than refrain, ourselves from Him and engage in worldly vices.
In Jesus name we pray.
Amen.
