The Lord hears our voice

My Dear Brothers and Sisters, I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you today is from the book of Deuteronomy 26:7-9 , “And when we cried unto the Lord, God of our fathers, the Lord heard our voice, and looked on our affliction, and our labour, and our oppression: And the Lord brought us forth out of Egypt with a mighty hand, and with an outstretched arm, and with great terribleness, and with signs, and with wonders: And he hath brought us into this place, and hath given us this land, even a land that flows with milk and honey”.

My Dear Brothers and Sisters, from the above context, we come to understand that the Egyptians mistreated the people of Israel, and afflicted them, putting them to hard labor. So the people of Israel called out to the Lord. The God of their fathers. So the Lord heard their voice and saw their misery, toil, and oppression. In the same manner, our God who hears us respects our voice. Maybe your husband, wife, children or co-workers at your workplace may not respect your voice. But God will hear your voice.

My Dear Brothers and Sisters, In the beginning, the people of Israel, did not realize the sufferings and agony they had to experience in the land of Egypt. But gradually things changed. The treatment meted out to these people began increasing, day after day. The manner in which they were treated was beyond expression. They were ill-treated and oppressed severely. Only then they realized that a change was necessary for their lives. They also believed that only God could bring about change. Therefore they cried out to God. God heard their cry, he quickly prepared a deliverer called Moses, anointed him and sent him to Egypt, to deliver His people. God brought the people of Israel out of Egypt to Canaan, a land flowing with milk and honey, under the leadership of Moses, by performing signs and wonders. Thus God delivered His people.

My Dear Brothers and Sisters, maybe you are being afflicted in your family. All are treating you with great shame and dishonor. They are causing great distress to you and torturing you very badly. At this point in time, you need to cry out to God like the Israelites and tell out your problems to the Lord. God will come down in a marvelous manner and perform a miracle for you today. He will deliver and rescue you from all your problems with His mighty hand and outstretched arm. He will cause you to shine in your life before all those who ill-treated you. He raises up the poor out of the dust, and lifts the needy out of the dunghill; that He may set him with princes, even with the princes of His people. So cheer up.

God bless you.

Prayer:

Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Thank You, Lord, for hearing our cry and respecting our voice. We also thank You for saving us from the hands of the evil doers. Guard us and protect us from all our foes and those who cause trouble to us. Help us to see better days in our life according to the days wherein we have been afflicted.

In Jesus name we pray.

Amen.

God’s Deliverance

My Dear Brothers and Sisters, I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you today is from the book of Jeremiah 30:10 , “So do not be afraid, Jacob my Servant, do not be dismayed, Israel, declares the Lord. I will surely save you out of a distant place , your descendants from the land of their exile. Jacob will again have peace and security, and no one will make him afraid.”

The Messiah , who is the Lord God, was raised up to save the people , whom they should serve, and hence they had nothing to fear, from their enemies, nor had they any reason to doubt the salvation and deliverance, because so great a person (the Lord Jesus Christ ) was engaged for them. Through Prophet Jeremiah God comforts Jacob, not to be afraid, or dismayed. God promised Jacob not only to save him from Babylon, but also from far off countries, where they were dispersed east, west, north and south. God also assures Jacob to protect his descendants, from the land of their captivity. And God through prophet Jeremiah promises to extend peace to him after all the calamities that he had to go through in Babylon during captivity.

My dear brothers and sisters, Are you going through some kind of captivity. Are you facing trouble after trouble ? Are you in a tight corner situation not knowing how to go about with your problems. Well the Lord will deliver you as He delivered (Jacob or Israel )from his captivity. God is aware of your problems. He hears the cry of your supplication. The Bible says, Behold the eye of the Lord , is on those who fear Him. On those who hope in His mercy. The Fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. Therefore serve the Lord with fear, and rejoice with trembling. Not only fear Him but also trust Him for blessed are all those who put their trust in Him. God says, “I am God and there is no other. I am God and there is none like Me. My counsel shall stand. And I will bring it to pass. I have purposed it and I will also do it”. Our God is a God who keeps His Promise. Rely on Him. He will save you from all your problems. Just Believe in Jesus.

God bless you.

Prayer: Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Lord we believe that you will restore your children from all their troubles that they are going through. Help them to come out of their captivity into which they have been entangled. Make them glad according to the days they have been afflicted. May peace be within their walls and prosperity within their palaces. In Jesus name we pray,

Amen.

God of Blessing

My dear Brothers and sisters in Christ, I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given you for today is from the book of Deuteronomy 33:14-16 , “And for the precious fruits brought forth by the sun, and for the precious things put forth by the moon and for the chief things of the ancient mountains, and for the precious things of the lasting hills, And for the precious things of the earth and fullness thereof, and for the good will of him that dwelt in the bush: let the blessing come upon the head of Joseph, and upon the top of the head of him that was separated from his brethren”.

Today the Lord is going to place this blessing upon your head as it was placed over the head of Joseph. As soon as His blessing descends upon your head, all your poverty will vanish.

A fruit that ripens naturally tastes delicious. In the same manner many things that you desire will happen in favour of you very naturally. Just as we enjoy the light of the moon during the night time, so also the gifts that you receive from the hands of God will be pleasant and beautiful. You will not only receive the blessings of the hills and the mountains but also receive precious things of the earth and its fullness. Just as the favour of God descended upon Joseph and blessed him above all his brothers so will God bless you through your work or your business and reveal his favour to you among all your brethren.

May be until now you have not seen success in your life. You might have experienced great failure in your studies, in your ministry, or in your business. But in future the Lord will enable you to prosper in all walks of life. The Bible says, it pleased the Lord to bless Israel. He is a God who does what He says. He blessed Jabez, when he cried unto the Lord. God enlarged his territory and preserved him from all evil. God granted him what he requested.

In the same manner God will grant you all your request. Moses blessed the children of Israel with all kinds of blessings. He called all the twelve tribes and blessed them. This particular blessing was given to the tribe of Joseph. Moses refers to the favour of God that he experienced while he was beside the burning bush and expected that Joseph should receive such blessings from the Lord. The Bible says, Let the blessing come on the head of Joseph. Likewise the blessing of the Lord will henceforth descend upon you and your children. Your blessing is upon your people.

God bless you.

Prayer: Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Lord help my children to be blessed with the blessing of the sun, moon, hills and the mountains. Bless them Lord as Joseph was blessed . Lord bless them out of Zion that they may see the goodness of Jerusalem. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

The Real Profit

My Dear Brothers and Sisters, I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you today, is from the book of Matthew 16:26, For what profit, is it to a man if he gains the whole world and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?”

My Dear Brothers and Sisters, from the above context we understand that, for people who are only seeking their profit will find themselves most sadly mistaken for of what advantage will it be to such a man. Some possess all that is precious, valuable and all power, pleasures and riches. Like Alexander the great, conqueror and king Solomon who possessed great wealth. In the above passage Jesus is trying to explain the relative values of our physical lives and what we can humanly accomplish to what awaits us after life. What profit has a man from all his labour in which he toils under the sun? One generation passes away, and another generation comes, but the earth abides forever.

My Dear Brothers and Sisters, the Bible says, Man who is born of woman is of few days, and full of trouble. He comes forth like a flower and fades away. He flees like a shadow and does not continue. The days of our lives are seventy years and if by reason of strength they are eighty years. Yet their boast is only labour and sorrow for it is soon cut off and we fly away. All flesh is grass and all its loveliness is like the flower of the field. The grass withers, the flower fades, because the breath of the Lord blows upon it. Surely the people are grass. The grass withers the flower fades, but the word of our God stands for ever.

My Dear Brothers and Sisters, The physical life we would live now is like a bowl of lentils, compared to eternal life. It is nothing more than a vapour, a breath a shadow. The passing pleasures, and cares of the world, will only gratify and satisfy the immediate desires. If our only interest is the immediate gratification that the world has to offer, then we would be like Easu who despised his birthright for a bowl of stew. Paul tells Timothy that Godliness with contentment is great gain and that instead of possessions we should be pursuing righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, and gentleness. The inevitable result of doing this will be wonderful blessings and eternal life. Jesus describes about how an individual had a hunger to gain the world and all it could give him. But because he could not control that hunger he lost his eternal life. My Dear Brothers and Sisters, What is your choice? Are you running after this world that is destined to perish or, do you run for the prize of the upward calling of God. Think wisely and live a qualitative life. May God help you to run the race of the Christian life to win the prize. To receive the crown of life, which the Lord has promised to those who love Him.

Prayer:

Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Thank you for showing us that we need to run the race set before us carefully. Teach us not to set our mind on the things of this world but to set our mind on things above. Help us to seek the kingdom of God, and His righteousness. May we long after salvation and eternal life rather than the things of this world. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

Be Of Good Courage

My Dear Brothers and Sisters, I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you today, is from the book of Joshua, 1:5, “No man shall be able to stand before you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses So I will be with you. I will not leave you nor forsake you. Be strong and of good courage, for to this people, you shall divide as an inheritance the land which I swore to their fathers to give them.”

My Dear Brothers and Sisters, From the above context we understand that Moses the elect leader of the people of Israel, who went up to mount Nebo to the top of Pisgah looked over the promised land, of Israel and died at the age of 120 in Moab. He did not enter the land of Canaan. As a result all the people were distressed and troubled in their heart over the death of their leader who had brought them up to the borders of Jordan. Now there was doubt, fear, and anxiety in the minds and hearts of the people of Israel. They wondered as to who would lead them further into the land of Canaan. And it was at that time when God appointed Joshua as the next leader to lead the people of Israel into the land of Canaan.

My Dear Brothers and Sisters, when Joshua was elected as the next leader of Israel, he was troubled in his heart, as to what he was going to do in future with the people of Israel, and how he was going to lead them into the land of Canaan. So God called Joshua, and assured him that He was there with him and asked him not to be troubled. He tells Joshua, ’No man shall be able to stand before you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses So I will be with you. I will not leave you nor forsake you. Be strong and of good courage. ”God actually encouraged Joshua, to carry out his mission. After Elijah God chose Elisha, Apostle Paul prepared Timothy to carry on his discipleship. The death of ministers, apostles and preachers cannot arrest the task of the Lord. God Himself appointed new leaders as soon as the former leader had completed his task.

My Dear Brothers and Sisters, Some of you like Job, who have lost everything in life, are reading this message. May be you are disturbed in your heart as to what God has in store for you. Well it is only in such trying period, that you tend to draw close to God. Both Job’s wife and his friends criticised Job for his righteousness and asked him to curse God and die. But Job never sinned against God by his mouth. Therefore God blessed the latter part of his life. Only when you go through a great loss in your life, God changes your sorrow into joy. God immediately changed the sorrow of the people of Israel into joy by electing a new leader Joshua, to take care of them in the wilderness. God tells Joshua, Be strong and of good courage, do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you, wherever you go.

Similarly God is encouraging you today that He will lead you safe in the land of the living. He will instruct you with His eyes and lead you beside the still waters. Though you walk through the way of darkness, He will lead you with His rod and staff, So be cheerful in the Lord. Hold on to Him, then he will turn your sorrow into joy.

Prayer:

Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Lord we are thankful to you for appointing new leaders the moment the former leader completes his task. Thank you Lord for your care and concern regarding the people of Israel. You not only led them to the land flowing with milk and honey but also made Joshua to distribute the land as an inheritance which God had sworn to their fathers. Lord bless us similarly as you blessed the Israelites. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
