A Joyful Mother - Bro. T. Stephen

Beloved brothers and sisters in Christ, I greet and bless you all in the precious name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

I am very happy to meet you all directly in your homes through this Auspicious word on October 11. May the Lord bless you. Are you all happy? I believe that you are rejoicing in the Lord.

What is the Auspicious word the Lord has for us today? Psalm 113:9 says, “He grants the barren woman a home,
Like a joyful mother of children.”

The inability to have children is a painful experience that can break a person’s heart. Among all the blessings in this world, the greatest blessing is salvation. The second greatest blessing is the blessing of children. All other blessings, such as property, cars, bungalows, comforts, opportunities, and estates, come after these.

Children are a great source of joy and happiness in our lives. When you meet people who are unable to have children, you may find that some become depressed and heartbroken and stop attending functions. Some even stop going to work or attending church. They isolate themselves because they do not want to face questions such as, “Is there no good news yet?” We can see how deeply this situation affects them.

Today, if anyone in your family is facing this situation, whether it is your daughter, younger sister, elder sister, or sister-in-law, claim this promise of God on their behalf. Pray, “Lord, make my daughter, younger sister, elder sister, or sister-in-law a joyful mother of children, and let her dwell happily in her home.”
After hearing this verse, claim it in the presence of God today. If possible, write this verse ten or twenty times in faith. Writing God’s Word is a great blessing.

In the Old Testament, we find instructions about the importance of writing down God’s Law. In those days, during the time of Moses, the Ten Commandments were given, and printed Bibles were not available. Yet, the Scriptures instructed God’s people to obtain a copy of the Law from the priests, write a copy for themselves, keep it in their homes, and read it every day.

The Word of God teaches us to make a personal copy of His Law. Some may ask, “Brother, why do you tell us to write Bible verses ten or twenty times?”

These are spiritual exercises that help strengthen our faith. As you write God’s Word, it becomes a blessing to your hands, your mind, your body, and even your eyes. Write it with faith. By the grace of God, you will receive what you are believing for.

When you call those things that do not exist as though they did and thank God in faith, you are expressing your trust in His promises.

For those who are waiting for the blessing of children, I want to teach you a practice. Every morning, place your hand on your womb and say, “Lord, You have made me a joyful mother of children. Thank You for this blessing. With the eyes of faith, I thank You, Lord, as though I were already carrying a full-term baby.”
Keep thanking the Lord in this way. One day, you may receive the wonderful news you have been waiting for. God’s Word teaches us to call those things that do not exist as though they did and to give thanks in faith.
In the Bible, we read about a woman named Rachel. She and her husband had disagreements because they did not have children. Do you know what Rachel said to her husband?

“Give me children, or else I die!”

In other words, she was so distressed that she felt she could not live without a child. The Bible records her words exactly in this way.

One day, her husband told her, “Am I in the place of God? It is He who has closed your womb.” Instead of quarrelling with him, Rachel needed to bring her request before the Lord.

Today, are there quarrels between husbands and wives because they do not have children? Are there disagreements between mothers-in-law and daughters-in-law because of this situation?

The Lord is calling you to stop fighting with one another and bring your requests to Him. Ask Him, and you will receive, so that your joy may be full. According to this promise, may the Lord grant you the blessing of receiving with joy.

After this, Rachel stopped quarrelling with her husband and began praying to the Lord. The Bible says that God remembered Rachel and showed compassion to her. She conceived and gave birth to a precious son.

She said, “God has taken away my reproach,” and expressed her hope that the Lord would give her another son. She named the child Joseph.

Today, the Lord is going to bless families with children like Joseph. He is going to bless many with sons like Samuel and daughters like Hannah. The Lord is going to perform many miracles. Whatever name you desire for your child, mention that name in your prayers and thank the Lord in faith. The Lord will do great things.

Testimony

Brother Jebamalai, Palayamkottai
It has been four years since we got married. My wife conceived several times, but she suffered miscarriages. On one occasion, our baby boy died in the womb and was stillborn.
Because of these painful experiences, we were heartbroken and decided that we no longer wanted to have children.

During this difficult time, Brother T. Stephen visited the Tirunelveli region to share God’s Word and pray for people.

My wife and I attended the meeting. During the personal prayer session, we shared our situation with Brother Stephen and asked him to pray for us. He prayed for us with compassion, saying, “Do not be afraid. Rejoice and be glad, for the Lord is going to do great things.” He blessed us and sent us away with hearts filled with hope.

After that prayer, my wife conceived naturally, and the Lord helped her give birth to a beautiful baby girl.
The Lord will do the same for you too!

Prayer

Loving Lord, thank You. Father, I pray for everyone who is longing for the blessing of children. Grant them the privilege of experiencing Your divine favour. May You open every womb that has remained closed, according to Your Word.

According to this promise, make these women joyful mothers of children and enable them to dwell happily in their homes.

May miscarriages and barrenness no longer bring sorrow to these families. Today, fill the wombs of these women with the blessings of heaven. May they be satisfied with the blessing of children and prepare joyfully for the little ones who are yet to be born. Let Your Word be fulfilled in their lives.

Perhaps some are watching this program with tears because they have been told that their unborn baby’s heartbeat cannot be detected. Lord Jesus, we pray for the well-being of the mother and her unborn child. May the baby be healthy, and may these families experience Your mercy and grace.

Some may have received distressing medical reports concerning their baby’s growth or the development and functioning of certain organs. Lord, bless these families and grant them encouraging news at their next scan. May they receive good reports and experience Your peace. Remove the reproach from these families and establish peace in their homes.

Lord, also look with favour upon those celebrating their birthdays and wedding anniversaries today. May Your Word be fulfilled in their lives: “The righteous shall flourish like a palm tree; he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon.” We offer this prayer through Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour. Amen.
