MOURNING INTO DANCING

I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you today, is from the book of  2 Kings 13 : 22.23. “And Hazael king of Syria oppressed Israel all the days, of  Jehoahaz  But the Lord was gracious to them,  had compassion on them,  and regarded them because of his covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and would not yet destroy them or cast them for his presence.”

From the above context we understand that our God is a merciful God. God’s mercy is bigger than any mistake we have made. God is rich in mercy because of his great love, for us. He loved his people Israel; He guarded them, protected them and rescued them from the hands of Pharaoh. God saved them not because of their righteous deeds, but because of His mercy.

The people of Israel often provoked God in many ways. They went after pagan   gods and forgot the living God. So God has many ways to punish a provoking people. Trouble comes sometimes from that point whence we least feared it.   After their victory over Syria, Jehoahaz ruled Israel for nearly seventeen years. During his reign he did evil in the sight of God. So God allowed the invasion of king Hazael king of Syria to interfere   and cause trouble to the people of Israel now and then, that these might thus turn to the living God.  But Hazael   king of Syria oppressed Israel all the days of Jehoahaz.

But the Lord was gracious to them, had compassion on them, and regarded them because of his covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob and would not yet destroy them or cast them from his presence .For He says, “ I am the Lord, I change not. Therefore you sons of Jacob are not consumed.” Even in his wrath God thinks upon mercy. While He was still punishing   Israel, by the sword of Hazael, He was yet careful, not to make a full end, not to allow the affliction to proceed, too far. He still preserved the nation and kept it, in being. God had respect unto the people of Israel. He considered them, kept them in his mind, because of the covenant, with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

Today God wants to show his   mercy to all those of you who are reading this message. Especially to those, who have been despised, rejected by your loved ones, and those considered outcast. This is your turn day,   to find grace and the mercy of God. For many of you are living so forlorn and desperate in life. Some even wish to die because of the terrible situation, you are going through. You are living in great sorrow, pain and agony.  Because you couldn’t secure a good job, or you never got settled as of now, you have incurred great loss in your business. You are a failure in life. God is showing you mercy today. So do not be discouraged, or dismayed. He is reaching out his righteous right hand to meet your needs. Be cheerful in the Lord. He will change your sorrow into joy. He will make your mourning into dancing. God bless you.

Prayer: Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Lord we thank You for being so gracious and merciful to us. You have forgiven all our transgression and iniquity and saved us from the mouth of Hades. Since You  have  kept your covenant to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob,  You  have  blessed us too with Your mercy. Therefore we praise you and adore You. Bless us, O God of Mercy.

In Jesus name we pray.

Amen.

You Have An Open Door

Dear   Brother and  Sister in Christ, I greet and bless you in the name of our Creator, Maker, and ever unforgettable Lord Jesus Christ. The blessed word that the Lord has   given   for you today is from the book of Revelation 3:8, “ I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name.”

My  Dear Brother  And  Sister, from the above context we come to learn that  God has kept an open door  before you. And no one can shut it. Philadelphia is the second church that Jesus does not rebuke in any way. For He says, “ I know your works.”Yes Jesus knew that The members of Philadelphia  church were honest and contributed their best for the service of God. Nothing escapes the notice of the Lord Jesus. Nothing that takes place  in any churches,  have  ever passed His attention. Jesus knows. There is nothing that He does not know.  Jesus knows their “works.” He knows how they produce  good works. So Jesus tells them  “ See, I have set before you an open door” which indicates that God  provides favourable conditions for serving him. In the face of adversaries, He gives opportunities to serve Him.  The words “have set” literally meangive. Open doors are something that Jesus gives out of His grace. We do not earn or deserve the right to serve Him. Our opportunities for service are unadulterated gifts of grace from the Lord Jesus.

The word “open” means a door that Jesus opened in the past with the result that the door still stands open . God opens doors of positive volition as He did for Nineveh, where an entire city came to God through   Jonah. He also keeps these doors open. and no one can shut it.  No force, whether man or Satan, can shut a door that Jesus opens. The Bible says,  The gates of hell cannot prevail against God’s church.   No one can witness except  God, who  opens   the door. Jesus  knew that the people of Philadelphia  church had very little strength. Even though their strength is not proportionate to the wide door, Jesus gave them, yet they were  true to His name. The church at Philadelphia did not depend on human ingenuity or human power. The church at Philadelphia stayed faithful to Christ in the face of opposition. They never denied the name of Christ. They were true to the truth,  by being faithful to the Word of God. The word “kept” means guard. They stood on guard for the Word of God. They were true to Scripture. And they  have not denied His name. This church witnessed in the face of opposition. They maintained the integrity of what they believed, although they faced great pressure to compromise. We must realize that  every open door of service is a gift from God.

The open doors that God has kept for you cannot be shut by anyone. It may be   the door to a job. God is sealing that door which has been opened  for you. So no evil has power over it and no sorcerer  has power to open it.  That job is meant for you and it cannot be plucked from you. The Lord knows all your problems. He knows that you have very little strength but He remembers your labour for God. Halleluiah!  There is nothing  hidden from His sight. He formed you. Your walls are ever  before Him. So you need not worry.  God will take care of you. God knows that those of you who are reading this message have very little strength. Very little money, very little oil in the jar. But He could use you for a great purpose. God called Gideon who had very little strength but asked him to go with that little strength, to perform a great task. God asked him to bring back the Israelites who were enslaved by the Medianites.  And  in obedience to God and    as a leader of the Israelites, he won a decisive victory over a Midianites  army despite a vast numerical disadvantage, leading a troop of 300 “valiant” men.  God wants you to do a great ministry for Him with the little strength you have. He is going to entrust you with great position, a big business, a great project. Receive  His  command,  and  see how best you can perform. Don’t miss the opportunity.   God Bless you.

Prayer: Our Loving Heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Lord help us seize the  opportunities you give us,   to win others to Christ? We have very little strength but  give us the grace to    do our best. Thank You Lord for the open doors of opportunities. May   we open  our hearts to the opportunities  given to us by God graciously.   When God opens these doors, let no opposition  stop our pursuit.  . Although  we  do not have much strength yet we believe  that  God will use us.  Help us to  work  for  the truth in the face of opposition?

In Jesus  Name We Pray.

Amen.

You Shall Be Exalted.

Dear   Brother and  Sister in Christ, I greet and bless you in the name of our Creator, Maker, and ever unforgettable Lord Jesus Christ. The blessed word that the Lord has   given   for you today is from the book of Hebrews 12: 6   “ For the Lord disciplines the one he loves, and chastises every son whom he receives.”

My Dear brother and  sister, from the above context we come to learn that  God the Father, generally trains His children through trials, difficulties and sufferings, just as the Lord Jesus also learned obedience through the things that He suffered, but when a believer is disciplined or chastened by the Lord, we often imagine that God does not love us any more, or that He is inflicting some cruel punishment on us, from which we make every endeavor to escape. But chastening from the Lord is a sign of love,  that comes from the Father-heart of God, for the Lord disciplines the son whom He loves. The mature believer is growing  from   childhood,   into son-ship and correction from God is always designed to develop in  His  children the  character, responsibility, obedience and the fruit of the Spirit. God does not want us to remain immature, infants. He wants us to grow in grace and in a knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ. But too often we become fretful, angry or discouraged with the chastening we receive from our heavenly Father, and yet the Lord chastens every son including you and me – out of His deep and unconditional love for each one of us.

Paul writing   to the  Hebrews reminds us,  by quoting   from the Proverbs,   “My son – do not despise the Lord’s discipline nor be weary of his correction, for whom the Lord keeps on loving He keeps on correcting; even as a father the son in whom he delights.”All men are not the objects of God’s love. Only a special people whom He has  chosen for Himself,  are scourged, by Him.   And  whom He chastens, He  loves them with an everlasting love.  He loves them even while they are being chastened.  In Bible times many men of God have been chastened, by God. Joseph was thrown into the pit by His own brothers. Then they sold him to the Egyptian merchants, for 20 shekels  of silver.  Later he was thrown into the prison for no fault of his, by Potiphar. He was accused  falsely  by  Potiphar’s  wife. But because he endured patiently the trials that was thrust upon him, God exalted him to the post of Governor  of Egypt. No one could have guessed that God was going to lift him up,  in the place where he  was taken as a slave.  Similarly Daniel who was taken to Babylon  as captive was  thrown into the lion’s den. Since Daniel was a man of prayer God loved him and therefore He shut the mouth of the Lions. God exalted him with wisdom to interpret dreams  and visions. Hence  King  Nebuchadnezzar bowed before him. We  see Job was tested by God. He endured patiently therefore God blessed him with a double portion of blessing.

God will bless you also like Joseph, Daniel and Job, if you will endure the trials which  you go through in life  patiently and without murmuring.  It is very difficult. It is very painful if you fall in the hands of God,   but remember He loves whom he chastens. Dear children of God to those of you who are reading this message, I  request  you all that   for the sake of His love please endure patiently the  all  troubles, then He will exalt you and cause you to shine before others. All your grief and sorrow will be erased   from your life and you shall not see any more disaster  for the rest of your life.   Those who had hurt you will reconcile with  you . God will reverse all situations in favour of you. The Lord will honour you as He honoured these men of God and grant you beauty for ashes, and gladness of  heart   instead of pain and sorrow. MAY THE Lord grant you the needed strength to overcome all your trials for the Bible says, “Think it joy when you go through trials.”God Bless you.

.

Prayer: Our Loving Heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Thank you Lord for characters like  Joseph, Daniel and Job who endured patiently the trials and tribulation in their life. Thank You for loving us  as your  dearly beloved children,  and for training us   in the way   we   should go. Enable us  to see beyond our   trials, difficulties and sufferings, to the character, responsibility, obedience and the fruit of the Spirit,  that You desire to develop in us,   for our   eternal benefit and for Your greater glory.

In Jesus  Name We Pray.

Amen.

The Lord Rewards

My   Dear   Brother  and  Sister in Christ, I greet and bless you in the name of our Creator, Maker, and ever unforgettable Lord Jesus Christ. The blessed word that the Lord has   given   for you today is from the book of  Hebrews 11:6  “ But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.”

My Dear Brother And Sister, From the above  context we see how it is impossible to please God without faith. Apostle Paul urges us to exercise faith in our daily life. We need to have faith in God, our Lord Jesus Christ. Every Christian must believe in Jesus and what God says, in the word of God. The object of Apostle Paul while writing to the Hebrews, was  to show the power of unwavering confidence in God in sustaining, the soul especially  in times of trial. The Bible also clearly says, it is impossible to  please God without faith. And that the just shall live by faith alone and not by sight. By faith we believe what we cannot see by our eyes. Faith has been the mark of God’s servants from the beginning of the world. And many have walked by faith  in former  times. And all of them have been rewarded.   It is a firm expectation that God will perform   all that he has promised to us in Christ if we exercise faith in God.

My Dear Brother And Sister,   The eleventh chapter of Hebrews  speaks of several people who walked by faith  and not by sight.  One such person was Abraham,  who was called The “Friend of God.”For even   though he did not know where God was   taking him yet he implicitly obeyed Him. He willingly took his son Isaac to mount Moriah    to be sacrificed knowing that God would provide another.  Jacob was another who  exercised his faith by telling, “Lord I will not let You go unless You Bless me.”He had faith that God would save him from the hands of his brother Esau whom he had earlier cheated. Through faith also Sarah herself received strength to conceive seed, and was delivered of a child when she was past age, because she judged Him faithful who had promised. By faith Moses, when he was come to years, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter;By faith Noah, being warned of God prepared an ark to the saving of his house.  Thus we see a number of God’s people walk in faith.

My Dear Brother And Sister, Are  you walking in  faith? It is easy to walk in faith when life is all so cosy and comfortable but you need to have faith when things go wrong in life. All these men of God faced much difficulty yet they stood the test. So Paul mentions their names in his epistle to the Hebrews. They all walked in faith. May God help you also to walk in faith at all times.  For  faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. For by it the elders obtained a good report. And through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear. I sincerely desire that every one reading this message may be instilled in their heart, to walk by faith and thus receive the reward of God.  God Bless you.

Prayer:  Our loving heavenly Father,  we   thank   You   for  this  blessed day. Dear Lord, we thank You for teaching us through this message that we need to walk by faith and not by sight. May we like all the men of God, learn to walk by faith. Strengthen us during times of trial, not to yield to the things of this world or be tempted by Satan.

In Jesus  Name We Pray.

 Amen.

God Blesses His Servants.

Dear   Brother  and  Sister in Christ, I greet and bless you in the name of our Creator, Maker, and ever unforgettable Lord Jesus Christ. The blessed word that the Lord has   given   for you today is from the book of  Acts 9 :39,40  “Then Peter arose and went with them. When he had come, they brought him to the upper room. And all the widows stood by him weeping, showing the tunics and garments which Dorcas had made while she was with them. But Peter sent  them all out, and knelt down and prayed. And turning to the body he said, “Tabitha, arise.” And she opened her eyes, and when she saw Peter she sat up “

My Dear Brother And Sister, From this context we learn how God uses His servants to heal those who are ill and diseased.  In those days Saul was chasing Christians and in one such journey  to  Damascus , suddenly a light shone around him from heaven.  Then he fell to the ground, and heard a voice saying to him, “Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me?”And he said, “Who are You, Lord?” Then the Lord said, “I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting.  So he, trembling and astonished, said, “Lord, what do You want me to do?”Then the Lord said to him, “Arise and go into the city, and you will be told what you must do.”Then Ananias touched Saul’s eyes  and his blindness was restored. After which as we all know he became the Apostle Paul who went about preaching the gospel of God. Paul  says that it is the power of Salvation to everyone who has faith.  Paul says, that it is the spirit of God, that gives this gift of healing. It is a blessing in disguise. When healing takes place,  it is always intended to glorify Jesus Christ. And none of us has the authority to heal the body. Only the creator does. That is why we pray in Jesus name. Paul even resurrected a man. Even the handkerchief were placed on his body and  then placed on the sick. And the  disease  left them and the evil spirit went out of them.

My Dear Brother And Sister, we again see how Apostle Peter went through all parts of the country, that he also came down to the saints who dwelt in Lydda. There he found a certain man named Aeneas, who had been bedridden eight years and was paralyzed.  And Peter said to him, “Aeneas, Jesus the Christ heals you. Arise and make your bed.” Then he arose immediately.   Many on seeing this healing miracle accepted Jesus as their Saviour. At Joppa there was a certain disciple named iTabitha, who was also known as jDorcas. This woman was full of good works and charitable deeds which she did.  But it happened in those days that she became sick and died. When they laid  her in an upper room.  And since Lydda was near Joppa, the disciples had heard that Peter was there, so  they sent two men to him, imploring him   to come quickly. Then Peter arose and went with them. When he had come, they brought him to the upper room. And all the widows stood by him weeping, showing the tunics and garments which Dorcas had made while she was with them. But Peter sent  them all out, and knelt down and prayed. And turning to the body he said, “Tabitha, arise.” And she opened her eyes, and when she saw Peter she sat up.  Then he gave her his hand and lifted her up; and when he had called the saints and widows, he presented her alive.  And it became known throughout all Joppa, and many believed in the Lord.

My Dear Brother And Sister, thus we see how God had blessed his disciples the gift of healing. Is anyone sick and diseased in your family? Well remember God will send His word and heal them of their disease. Is  anyone possessed with witchcraft, or black magic,  God will deliver them   too,   if you seek the face of God. He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain.” The Bible says in the book of James,  “Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord. God promises by saying,  ” I will bring health and healing to it; I will heal my people and will let them enjoy abundant peace and security. I will restore you to health and heal your wounds,’ declares the Lord, “If you listen carefully to the Lord your God and do what is right in his eyes, if you pay attention to his commands and keep all his decrees, I will not bring on you any of the diseases I brought on the Egyptians, for I am the Lord, who heals you.”Finally my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.  God Bless you.

Prayer: Our Loving Heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Almighty God, you are the only source of health and healing. In you there is calmness,  and the only true peace in the universe. Grant to each one of us an awareness of your presence, and give us perfect confidence in you. In all pain and weariness and anxiety teach us to yield ourselves to your never-failing care, knowing that your love and power surround us, trusting in your wisdom and providence to give us health and strength and peace when your time is best .

In Jesus  Name We Pray.

Amen.
