Be joyful in Hope

Dearly Beloved,  I greet and bless you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. The blessed word that the Lord has given for you today is from the book of Romans12:12. “Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.”

From the above context we learn that Apostle Paul composed a lengthy letter to the Roman Church that addressed every issue that is so vital to living a life pleasing to God.  And in the   verse given above, we are encouraged to rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, and be constant in prayer.

To rejoice in hope is to have that unfaltering assurance in God’s Word. And  that our hope of glory is secured for us in heavenly places, simply because God’s Word is true and cannot be broken. Our hope is built on nothing less than trusting in the cross of Christ and taking God at His Word.  God wants us  to be patient in tribulation,  that is to realize  that in this world we will have tribulation,  but to wait patiently in our suffering, without murmurings,  and to be of good cheer, knowing that His strength is sufficient to see us through every difficult  situation of our life.

As children of God we should be instant in prayer, lifting our hearts to the Lord in prayer, and giving Him thanks and praise in the name of JESUS – knowing that greater is He that is in us, than He that is in the world. May the Lord help us to exercise Paul’s instructions for godly living, so that we too may live a life that is pleasing to the Lord, so that Christ can be seen in us.

God expects you to rejoice with hope that good things will happen after experiencing a dry season in your life. Dry season, indicates continuous failure in your life. As a result, you go through a time of trial. God will change such a situation and help you see a life of prosperity when you hope rejoicing, and endure your trials patiently, and pray with perseverance, for prayer will strengthen the faith in you.

Paul directs us to be joyful, patient and faithful, in the midst of daily struggles.  When your hope is placed in Jesus, then it becomes easy to be joyful in all things because as children of God we have hope through Jesus Christ. Our future in heaven is secure in Him by evidence of His resurrection. James in his epistle says, Count it all joy when you fall into various trials. May God help you to endure sufferings patiently and joyfully especially during this period of time when all are forced to face such crisis.  God bless you.

Prayer: Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day.  Father, we thank You for the Word of God and the godly instructions that are laid out for us, especially in the epistles of Paul. Give us the needed strength to endure the testing of our life patiently. Enable us to be joyful in hope, patient in affliction and faithful in prayer, as we press on to the goal of our calling,

In Jesus name we pray.

Amen.

God’s Favour

I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord.  The blessed word that God   has given for you today is from the book of    Deuteronomy   33:14-16, And with the choice yield of the sun, And the choice produce of the months; And with the best things of the ancient mountains,   With the choice things of the everlasting hills, And with the choice things of the earth and its fullness, And the favour of Him who dwelt in the bush. Let it come to the head of Joseph, to the top of the head of the one who was prince among his brothers. “

We see from the above passage the blessings of Moses, bestowed upon the twelve tribes of Israel, before his death. The above mentioned context was the blessing   of Joseph.   He was special because he was the son of Israel,   in his old age. Jacob had twelve sons who formed the twelve tribes of Israel. Every tribe had his share of blessing, but Joseph had more than all his brothers.  He rightly deserved the blessing of Moses   because he proved to be better than the rest of his brothers. Today the Lord is going to place this blessing upon your head as it was placed over the head of Joseph. As soon as His blessing descends upon your head, all your poverty will vanish.  All your misery will change.  You will begin to prosper

Just as a ripe fruit naturally tastes delicious,   in the same manner many things that you desire will happen in favour of you very naturally. Just as we enjoy the light of the moon during the night time, so also will be the gifts that you receive from the hands of God pleasant and beautiful.  You will not only receive the blessings of the hills and the mountains but also receive precious things of the earth and its fullness.  Just as the favour of God descended upon Joseph and blessed him above all his brothers so will God bless you through your work or your business and reveal his favour to you among all your brethren.

The blessing on Joseph was special, and long.  Joseph was fruitful though, in fact he was so fruitful that he was always a blessing to those around him; be it his family, his owner under whom he served as a slave in Egypt, the prison where he was wrongly incarcerated, or in Egypt where he ruled as the Governor.  How was this possible?  Joseph actually suffered much, in the hands of his brothers, but he always remained steadfast. He always trusted in the Lord; so the Lord blessed him and protected him.  Though, “They shot at him but his bow remained steady.” Although the world threw all it could at Joseph, he remained in his faith and was rewarded because of it.

May be until now you have not seen success in your life, You might have experienced great failure in your studies, in your ministry, or in your business. But in future the Lord will enable you to prosper in all walks of life. The Bible says, it pleased the Lord to bless Israel. He is a God who does what He says. He blessed Jabez, when he cried unto the Lord. God enlarged his territory and preserved him from all evil. God granted him what he requested.  In the same manner God will grant you all your request. Moses blessed the children of Israel with all kinds of blessings. He called all the twelve tribes and blessed them. This particular blessing was given to the tribe of Joseph.  Moses refers to the favour of God that he experienced while he was beside the burning bush and expected that Joseph should receive such blessings from the Lord. The Bible says; Let the blessing come on the head of Joseph. Likewise the blessing of the Lord will henceforth descend upon you and your children. Your blessing is upon your people. God bless you.

Prayer: Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Lord we thank You for Joseph who endured patiently all the troubles and therefore he was exalted.    Similarly we pray that you will help us to bear all the troubles patiently with the faith of God.   Bless us and our children,   with the yield of the sun, and with the best things of the ancient mountains,   with the beauty of the hills, And with the things of the earth and its fullness,  Bless us  Lord as Moses blessed Joseph.

In Jesus name we pray,

Amen.

God will carry you.

I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord.  The blessed word that   God   has  given  for  you  today  is  from the book  of “Isaiah 46:4, “Even to your old age, I am He, and even to grey hairs I will carry you, I have made and I will bear; Even   I will carry, and will deliver you.”

From the above words we learn that God who created us is able to carry us through. He promises to carry us even when we are old. He will not only carry us but also deliver us from all our troubles that we might be going through in our old age.  It has always been a great comfort for the children of God to realise that we are fearfully and wonderfully made, and that the Lord knows us before we are born, for it is He that formed us in our mother’s womb. Indeed, He has scheduled every day of our lives, watches over our every movement and faithfully remains with us, even when we wander far away from Him.

The above verse assures us that it is not only our early years about which the Lord is interested. He is with us every day of our lives, from the cradle to the grave. He cares for us from the womb to the tomb; from birth to death. The Lord is not only interested in us during the first flush of youth; our years of vigorous actions; or our blushing adult activities or when we are passing through the prime of life. He also is deeply interested in us as we advance into our twilight years, and even on into the frailty of old age. The Lord loves and cares for each one of us when our hair has turned gray, our knees have grown feeble and our faces have become furrowed with wrinkles. He cares for us when our hands start to tremble, our mouths begin to dribble and our minds become increasingly confused and forgetful.

Our God, who begot us into His family, has promised to carry us and care for us in every season of life, because He is our Father and we are His people. He has made us and He has promised to faithfully carry us; care for us; help us and deliver us, all the days of our life until He takes us home, to be with Himself, in heavenly glory.

I wish to encourage the elderly people of God to be rest assured of God’s providence for you. Even when you go through pressing   trials, God   supports you and cares for you. He considers you as the workmanship of His own hands.  So God will bear you, He will carry you, and will deliver you out of all your affliction, and even from the grave so that your soul is delivered.

Have you submitted your life to God?   Love the Lord for He hears   your voice. He hears your cry when you are   in great need and delivers your soul from death.  God says, “I will be your God throughout your lifetime.” Therefore draw close to God put your confidence in God.  He will rescue you from all your problems. He is a God of promise. His promises are true. For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen. So you can rely on Him at all times. God bless you.

Prayer: Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Thank You Lord for comforting and consoling us through Your Word.  We need your help when people forsake   us.  Usually we are disregarded. Lord take pity on us. Do consider  us  in  our  old  age  and  as  You  have promised , deliver us from all our problems and save us. We also thank You Father for Your constant care and faithfulness throughout our life. Thank You that You will never leave us nor forsake us, even when we become old and forgetful.

In Jesus name we pray,

Amen.

I will be with you

I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord.  The blessed word that God has given for you today is from the book of Isaiah 43:2 , “When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned.”

In this verse, God is telling the people of Israel, that He will be with them in their most troubling times, giving them the strength to move beyond them and delivering them out of danger without harm. The Jewish people were in captivity in Babylon. They faced many afflictions and were persecuted by men, represented by the waters, rivers, and fire. Some of the Jewish people had rejected God and provoked His wrath. For these people, the temptations of satan came upon these people, rapidly and overwhelmed them into a disastrous state of separation from God.

In spite of their disobedience to Him, God tells His people that they should not fear because He has redeemed them. God will continue his love and care for them. His people are God’s workmanship, created by him unto good works and He will not forsake the work of His hands. Similarly God is mindful of you. He loves you. You are precious in His sight. Therefore He always sends his angels to protect you that your foot may not slip. He who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep. God has put a mark, the seal of God on your forehead.   The Lord says that he will make you like a signet ring God has chosen you to be His own to be his priceless possession. To be His signet ring which means you are in a covenant with God. He says, “I will honour you and will treat you like the signet ring on my finger.”

Since He loves you He says,  “When you pass through the waters, I will be with you” by saying this God means that He will  do anything for His Children. He  opened the Red Sea for miles to allow the Israelites to walk on dry land through the sea Then God let the walls of the sea close and destroy Israel’s enemies. He did this to encourage the unbelieving Israelites to trust in Him in their difficulties and show them that those who hurt God’s people will be ruined. God suddenly dried up the Jordan river as a band of priests carrying the ark of the covenant stood at the edge of the river. The ark represented the presence of God. God piled up the water to reveal a dry riverbed so that His people could walk into Canaan and end their long, tiring wanderings in the wilderness.

When God loves you and you love God in return then, He says, Look   “When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.”Just as He said, He protected those men who stood for God instead of denying him. God protected Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. Nebuchadnezzar had his soldiers throw them into a furnace after they refused to worship any god but the God the Father. The furnace was so hot that the soldiers who threw them into the furnace were killed from the flames of the fire. Yet they emerged from the furnace completely un singed and because of this miracle they were promoted in the province of Babylon. God exalted them.

Our Father in heaven desires that we belong to Him forever. He remembers our frame. He calls us by our names and says, “You are mine.”If you belong to Him He will take care of your problems. He will be with you when you pass through the waters. The waters will not over flow you. Which means no problem can exceed you. The spirit of God will help you to overcome any difficult situation that you might go through. Never think that you are finished when you are caught up in the midst of problems. Never think you have come to the end of your life because of your problems. God is able to make a new beginning in your life. Even when you are thrown into the fire you shall not be scorched. The three friends of Daniel  when thrown into the fire were rescued by God.  Yahweh was in the midst of them. They were confident that their God would save them to the uttermost. The fire had no power on their bodies. Their hair of their head was not burnt nor was their garments affected. And the smell of fire was not on them. This is the kind of protection that God provides for His children. So, make this Lord God your Beloved. Have faith like these men of God who were ready to be thrown in to the fire for the sake of God. God bless you.

Prayer: Our loving heavenly Father,  we  thank  You for this blessed day.  Lord we thank you for your care and concern.  Lord help us to be yours forever.   May we be confident and faithful to you in all our ways.  Help us to be bold like Daniel, who was prepared to be thrown in to the den of Lions.  Give us the strength to overcome our difficulties. when we face challenges in our life.  May You be glorified in our lives as you were glorified through the lives of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego.

In Jesus name we pray.

Amen.

REMAIN CALM

I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord.  The blessed word  that  God  has  given  for  you  today  is  from the book of Isaiah 53:7 , “ He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he opened not his mouth.”

From the above words we learn that though Jesus was oppressed and afflicted He never opened His mouth. He was pulled like a sheep that keeps silent, to the slaughter’s house.   Jesus knew no sin, neither did he do any wrong, yet He was offered as a sacrifice on the Cross of Calvary outside the city, for our transgression. The Bible says,  “He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities, The chastisement for our peace was laid upon Him.”

Jesus who did no mistake or any wrong was made to stand, in the court,  before Pontius Pilot, and the judge  like a criminal, yet He did not open His mouth. And while He was being accused, by the chief Priests and the Elders, He answered nothing. Then the Pilot said to Him, “Do you not hear, how many things they testify against You?”  And He answered him not one word and so the Governor marvelled greatly at His silence. Jesus never retorted to all the complaints that was charged against Him. The people very well knew that Jesus did no sin, and He only performed miracles for the good of the people,   yet out of jealously they came against Him ferociously. Those of you reading this message may be doing good for others, like feeding the poor, and the aged,   in the city out of your own concern and   sympathy for them. But you too might be accused falsely due to jealousy.

Some of you may be doing well because of your hard work You are successful and increasing day by day. Therefore out of jealousy, are people rising against you and attacking you ferociously? How are you facing such people in your life?  Are you opening your mouth to defend yourself or do you keep your mouth closed before them? Do you put on the nature of Jesus in your life?  Remember God knows your righteous life. He knows that you are blameless and spotless. We learn good lesson from Jesus who kept calm though He was accused falsely, for as Children of God we need to endure patiently and   also learn longsuffering. Ask God to give you the grace to tolerate those who accuse you falsely. And Since Jesus endured patiently God made Him sit in the heavenly place at the right hand of God. You too will rise to a great height if you remain calm and reposed, when others accuse you falsely.  God bless you.

Prayer:  Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Thank You Lord , for teaching us to gain endurance and longsuffering. Lord You judge   us for what we are. Do not give up on us,   but help us never to open our mouth when we are accused falsely. Give us the strength to   overcome such crucial moment that is likely to occur in our life. May we like Jesus be calm and never open our mouth before accusers.

In Jesus name we pray.

Amen
