Your Alms Are Remembered by God - Bro. T. Stephen

Beloved children of God in Christ, I greet and bless you all in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. I am delighted to meet you all through this Auspicious Word on this June 19th. May God bless you.

What is the Auspicious Word the Lord has for us today? Let us read from Acts 10:31: “Your alms are remembered in the sight of God.” The charity you do, the good deeds you perform, and the kindness you show are remembered in heaven. God sees every act of generosity and compassion.

Cornelius, the centurion, was a good man who performed many acts of charity and gave generously to those in need. He was a righteous officer and a God-fearing man. One day, an angel appeared to him and said, “Your prayers and your alms have come up as a memorial before God.” Because of his charitable heart, God remembered him. As a result, blessings beyond his imagination came upon his family. The greatest blessing of all—salvation—came to his household. Not only his family, but everyone he had gathered around him received that blessing.

The Lord desired to do something special for Cornelius. First, He sent an angel. Then He sent the great apostle Peter to share the Gospel. Finally, the Holy Spirit Himself descended upon that place. My beloved children of God, all of this began because Cornelius was a man who gave alms and showed compassion.

You know about our ministry. Just as Jesus went about doing good and preaching the Gospel, God’s Love Ministries seeks to do the same. Through Tender Hearts, the charitable trust we operate by God’s grace, we help people in need whenever possible. This month, during the APO meeting, we paid educational fees for many children. We have also helped children without parents and supported marriages for those in need. The Lord has enabled us to do many such acts of kindness.

As I reflect on God’s blessings upon our family—a good wife, good children, loving children-in-law, and wonderful grandchildren—I realize that much of this is the fruit of showing compassion to others. When we care for the fatherless, God takes care of our children. There is a saying in our village: “If you help raise another person’s child, God will take care of your own.” Much of the blessing upon my family today can be traced back to the sacrificial and compassionate nature of my mother. The values she taught us and the kindness we have shown to others have been remembered in heaven.

This month, many children who have no parents or come from single-parent families need help with their education. They deserve a future too. Through careful verification, God’s Love Ministries identifies such children and supports those who are genuinely in need. Some of you have already partnered with us by helping pay school and college fees. Others support quietly from the background. May the Lord richly bless every such family. According to today’s verse, may every act of charity you do be remembered in heaven.

The Bible teaches that God sustains and blesses those who care for the poor. Therefore, let us be generous and compassionate. If the Lord places it on your heart, support a child’s education. You may do it through God’s Love Ministries, through your local church, or directly through a family you know. The important thing is to help someone in need.

I know of a beautiful example. A young girl became an orphan after both her parents passed away. As people returned from her mother’s funeral, everyone wondered who would care for her. A simple man who owned a small biryani cart—not a large restaurant, just a modest business—took responsibility for her. He regularly attends our APO meetings. He brought the child into his care, supported her, and ensured she continued her education. Today she has reached college. This year, because his business was struggling, he asked whether we could help pay her fees. We gladly did so.

Why did this touch my heart? Because when everyone else walked away, he chose to care for an orphan. He protected her from a life of neglect and uncertainty. He ensured she received an education and a future. Such acts of kindness are remembered in heaven.

My beloved children of God, preaching the Gospel alone is not enough. Helping the poor, supporting widows, and showing compassion to those in need are marks of true devotion to God. Some may say, “Brother, I am suffering myself.” But when a person who is struggling still finds a way to help another person in need, that is truly glorious before God.

Therefore, I encourage you to use this month as an opportunity to become a blessing to someone. In Jesus’ name, I urge you to help wherever you can. When you do so, angels will visit your home. God’s servants will pray for you. Your family will be blessed, protected, and strengthened. The Lord will do great things in your life.

Testimony

Praise be to God! I regularly participated in the Shaemam Fasting Meetings and received God’s blessings. For seven years, we were unable to sell our land. We attended the Shaemam Meeting and received prayer. By God’s grace, the property was sold for a good price, and I was able to clear a debt of one lakh rupees.

There was also a person who had been troubling our family through acts of witchcraft for seven years. We contacted the 24-hour Prayer Tower of God’s Love Ministries and requested prayer. The prayer warrior prayed earnestly and shared a promise from God’s Word. After that prayer, the person who had been troubling us moved away from our area, and we received peace. Praise be to God!

Prayer

Loving Lord, we thank You. You said, “Your alms are remembered in the sight of God.” Help Your children develop the habit of giving, helping the poor, and showing kindness to those in need. May they never look down on poor children or struggling families. Instead, fill them with mercy and generosity.

Lord, let no child be forced to stop their education because of financial difficulties. Open doors and provide favor so that every child may continue their studies. May every act of charity, every gift, every helping hand, and every offering of love bring abundant blessings upon Your children. May the alms and charity they give be remembered in heaven.

Remove poverty, scarcity, sickness, and every deadly disease from their lives. Break every bondage of death. Grant Your children long life, good health, and divine protection. May this Auspicious Word be fulfilled in their lives from this very moment. In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.
