Dearly beloved brothers and sisters in Christ, I greet and bless you all in the name of our Lord and savior Jesus Christ. As I waited upon the Lord, the blessed word that the Lord gave me to bless you today is from the book of Genesis 26:22 it says, “He moved away from there and dug another well,… So he named it Rehoboth, for he said, “At last the LORD has made room for us, and we will be fruitful in the land.”
Isaac went to Gerar for his livelihood. There was no rain during that season. But God said to him “You sow seeds, in faith and I will let it grow”. The moment he dug the well, water sprang forth. But when people in that place had dug wells, they never got water. So the people fought with him. They then said that, the well belonged to them as he had dug it in their land.
During the process of digging the well, Isaac had to face many obstacles. Isaac did not give up. He moved on to another place and dug a well. Isaac knew that if one door closes, God would surely open another door and also knew that he would be blessed in that land. He had to give up the well he dug, to the hands of the people who lived in that land and move on to another. The book of Genesis 26:22 says, “He moved away from there and dug another well, and they did not quarrel over it” So he named it Rehoboth, for he said, “At last the LORD has made room for us, and we will be fruitful in the land.” Rehoboth means God causes ‘Extensions and Expansions’. God gave him extended blessings. God says, until you reach Rehoboth, you will have to face many obstacles. Only when there are obstacles, ‘Rehoboth’ will be created.
When you face any challenge in life, never give up. Do not lose heart. For you are made strong in your weakness. If one door closes, God will surely open a new door. Our God is compassionate towards us.
God bless you.
Prayer:
Our Loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. I pray that You may give Your children the strength to reach Rehoboth, so that they may receive their blessings. Give them the courage to overcome all the obstacles they face. Strengthen them Lord. In Jesus Name we pray,
Amen.
