My Dearly beloved in Christ, I greet and bless you all in the name of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. The blessed word for today is from the book of Isaiah 62:3, “You will be a crown of splendour, in the Lord’s hand, a royal diadem in the hand of your God.”
We are God’s Royal Diadem, and we are beautiful in God’s hands. God’s plan is to beautify us and make us a showcase of His glory; He wants us to shine and bring Him glory and honor. For when a crown or diadem is beautiful, it is an honor to the king who owns it. As a royal diadem, we are God’s treasured possession and He cares about us so much that He promised to spare us. He will spare us from evil and from all manner of calamities.
The crown of splendour signifies the holy crown. For the Lord to crown a person with the crown of holiness, He expects a testimonial life in Him. If that is there then the Lord will surely give the royal crown. Daniel had a royal adornment. What was it? He made a decision, in his heart, that the king’s delicacies will not defile his body. So, he refused to eat the food that was offered to the king. He refused to drink or eat meat that was given to him. He ate just vegetables and had water to drink. Thus, he proved his testimony by keeping his body clean and holy and this pleased the Lord. This was a spiritual adornment. The Lord gave a royal adornment, and then the Lord kept a royal crown over him and gave him authority over Babylon.
Likewise, if we look at Joseph, he ran away from the lust of the flesh. Potiphar’s wife provoked him to commit sin. She was his mistress. But he left everything and ran away, because of the fear of the Lord. That is why he received the crown of royalty. And was made the governor of Egypt. Before this, he had the holy adornment in him.
So today everyone desires to have the royal crown. The first criteria for becoming a crown of glory and a royal diadem in God’s hands is to purge ourselves from sin. Because God’s eyes are too pure to behold evil and iniquity. To be able to approach God’s throne, our hands and heart must be pure. Therefore, seek God’s forgiveness through the blood of Jesus Christ. And accept God’s free gift of salvation.
After seeking and receiving His forgiveness, the next phase is sanctification. Sanctification means to set apart unto God for His use and glory. God’s plan is to make us into His treasures so that we will be highly sought after. We’ve seen that God places premium value on us, to the extent that we receive Him. You must want and choose to be sanctified by God by casting aside your own wishes and desires and diligently following and obeying the master. To be sanctified means choosing above all else to live according to God’s will and purpose.
So, submit yourself unto the Lord as the holy adornment in Him. And receive the crown of splendor from his hand.
Prayer: Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Lord, you have told us to worship you with a royal adornment. So, we worship you on this day, with holy adornment. Through this give my children, the crown of splendour along with the royal diadem. Let them be a royal diadem in the hands of the Lord. Let all their poverty, famine, and shame disappear from their life. Give them divine prosperity and peace. And help them to live a royal life, with royal respect. Let a miracle happen today for them. And let the name of God be magnified through them.
In Jesus Name We Pray.
Amen.
