My dear Brother and sister in Christ, I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our God, who created and formed us and who never ever forgets us. The blessed word that God has given you for today is from the book of Matthew 7:7 says, “Ask and you shall receive.”
My Dear Brother and Sister, From the above words, we learn that if you ask the Lord with faith what you desire God will answer your request without fail. He wants to set you up on a tower and beautify you. That is how God wants to bless you. He does not wish that you be poor and shabby, but rich and prosperous. So all you need to do is to ask God and obtain it. The Bible says, “Ask and it will be given you. Seek and you will find. Knock and the door will be opened for you.”Hence we need to make an effort. to receive what we desire. We are to ask and keep on asking, with full assurance that He hears our cry and answers the prayer that is offered in faith, and in line with His will.
My Dear Brother and Sister, We are to seek – we are to apply ourselves diligently and earnestly, as we search out all the jewels that are hidden in the Word of God, which helps to establish our faith in God. Seeking is designed by God to enable us to grow in the grace and in the knowledge of Christ. For it is the glory of God to conceal a matter; but it is the glory of kings to search it out. We are to seek and we are to keep on seeking, for the one who seeks will not be disappointed but greatly rewarded.
My Dear Brother and Sister, We are to knock – we are to knock with patience, endurance and steadfast perseverance even when the circumstances of life test our faith and seek to sap our strength. We are to knock and keep on knocking even when the prowling enemy Satan, cause our hearts to faint. And even when God’s presence seems very far removed from us we are to knock and knock and keep on knocking, for the testing of our faith develops perseverance, so that we may become mature and complete, lacking nothing, as we tightly cling to His all-sufficiency. To ask is to pray to the Lord. Prayer is the greatest weapon that God has given to His children. When we pray God listens to our prayer and answers us according to His will.
My Dear Brother and Sister, When we ask God for any particular thing God answers our requests. In the Bible there was a man called Caleb, who wholly followed the Lord. As soon as the people of Israel entered the land of Canaan, The man of God, Joshua distributed the land to the 12 tribes of Israel. The Levites were the people who ministered unto the Lord, in the sanctuary. So God said that the Lord Himself will be their portion. Therefore the other eleven tribes received the portion of their land. Then Caleb reminded Joshua that Moses had already promised the land on which his feet treaded upon. Therefore Caleb chose Hebron a fertile mountainous land. He was confident that he could fight the giant Anakims that dwelt in that region and drive them out and capture the land. He had immense faith in God. Moreover he wholly followed God, so Joshua the leader of Israel was pleased with Caleb, and granted him his request. Caleb asked and so received.
My Dear Brother and Sister, Many of you reading this message are badly in need of certain things. May be you are in need of a job, or you, need to settle in life. Some are waiting for many years for the gift of a child. Some wish to settle abroad. You need Visa. God will bless you with all the blessings, provided you walk in all the ways of the Lord. Unless and until you ask the Lord you will not receive, because “ Every good and every perfect gift comes from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation.’’ If you ask God, then He will bless you in a manner that your joy may be full. For it is a trivial thing for the Lord to perform a miracle for you. God bless you.
Prayer: Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Dear Lord, thank You for teaching us that we need to ask, seek and knock in order to receive what we desire. Help us to pray in accordance with Your will and may we learn to ask in faith, to seek You with all our heart and to knock with patience and endurance, so that we may receive according to Your will.
In Jesus name we pray.
Amen
