You shall be richly rewarded - Bro. T. Stephen

My Dear Brothers and Sisters, I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord.  The blessed word  that  God  has  given  for  you  today  is  from the book of  Ruth 2:12,  “May the Lord repay you for what you have done. May You be richly rewarded by the Lord, the God Of Israel, under whose wings you have come to take refuge.”

My dear Brothers and Sisters, from the above context we come to know that Ruth had performed a good service towards her mother in law and our God is not, unrighteous to forget the work and labor of love that she had extended to her mother in law. She was willing to sacrifice her prime of life for the sake of her mother in law.  So instead of returning back to her father’s house, she decided to cling on to her mother in law. She said to her, “ Wherever you go I will go. And wherever you lodge  I will lodge, Your people shall be my people, And your God my God.”

Ruth was not rewarded because of compulsory, but of grace. Because of the fullness of joy, peace, and happiness  and abundance of good things.  Since Ruth was willing to serve Naomi, and thereby decided to go to the fields and glean heads of grain in the fields of her master Boaz, she found favor in his sight. God had a plan for her,  in taking her to Bethlehem along with Naomi. Hence she found favor in the sight of Boaz, though she was a foreigner, a Moabite woman who came back with Naomi from the country of Moab. So Boaz spoke the above words as words of comfort to her. May the Lord repay you for what you have done. May You be richly rewarded by the Lord, the God Of Israel, under whose wings you have come to take refuge. Indicating that she had come under the shelter of the God of Israel, Or in other words, she had come under the refuge of Boaz the rich landlord.

My dear Brothers and Sisters have you made such a good decision in your life, regarding your spouse or other family members who were badly in need.  For God watches  over you when you take a decision. The decision you make must satisfy the heart of God. When you make the right decision you will be able to maintain peace within you and your family.

God bless you.

Prayer:

Our  loving   heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day.  O Lord teach us to help those who are badly in need of help. God give us the wisdom to handle every  problem wisely. May the decision we take be acceptable in Your sight. Reward us O Lord according to Your mercy, the work of our hand.  In Jesus name we pray.

Amen.
