Walk in the Ways of the Lord and Be Blessed - Bro. T. Stephen

Beloved children of God in Christ, I greet and bless you all in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. I am delighted to meet you all through this Auspicious word on this August 2nd. May God bless you.

What is the Auspicious word the Lord has for us today? Let us read Psalm 128:1: “Blessed is every one who fears the LORD, who walks in His ways.”

Many people look at others and say, “He is fortunate.” That means, “He is blessed.” They say, “He has the blessing of a government job. He has become a successful businessman. He has become a great servant of God.” We often say, “He is blessed,” or “She is blessed.”

The Bible also says, “Blessed is she who believed that there would be a fulfilment of those things which were told her from the Lord.” Those who believe that every word spoken by the Lord will surely come to pass are blessed.

Today’s verse says, “Blessed is every one who fears the LORD.” Do you know who is truly blessed? Those who fear the Lord, obey His commandments, and walk according to His plans. Such people are truly fortunate.
In the Bible, when Jesus preached the Sermon on the Mount, He repeatedly described who is blessed. The essence of His teaching is that those who fear the Lord and walk in His ways are blessed.

Today, the Lord wants to put an end to walking according to the ways of the world. Sometimes people advise you, saying, “Go this way. Do this. It will be good for you.” Today we call such people mentors. A good mentor can guide you wisely, encourage you, and give sound counsel. There is nothing wrong with that when you choose the right person.

However, there are also people who give wrong advice and unknowingly lead others in the wrong direction. Some may even deliberately mislead you. While most people genuinely desire your good, even sincere human advice can sometimes be based only on human understanding. What appears right in their eyes may not be right in the sight of God, and it can eventually bring pain and trouble into your life.

So why take that risk? Walk in the ways of the Lord. If a mentor, brother, or sister encourages you to fear the Lord and walk in His ways, listen to them. Those who do so will surely be blessed.

Today, in what area of your life do you feel you are not blessed? Are you saying, “I am not fortunate enough to own a house. I am not fortunate enough to get married. I am not fortunate enough to have the blessing of a child”?

If so, today surrender yourself to live in the fear of the Lord and walk in His ways. The Lord will transform your character, your lifestyle, your circumstances, and your future.

Testimony

“Praise be to God! We participated in the ATO Healing Meeting and prayed with Brother Stephen for an own house, the blessing of a child, and a change in my husband’s job. Brother gave us the prophetic word, ‘Go in peace; your request has been heard,’ and prayed for us. After that prayer, the Lord continually worked miracles in our lives. After participating in the meeting, we were blessed with a child. By the grace of God, we built our own house. My husband also received the job change we had been praying for.”

Prayer

Loving Lord, we thank You. As Psalm 20:4 says, “May He grant you according to your heart’s desire, and fulfil all your purpose.” May this word be fulfilled in their lives.

Today, may every child who decides to fear the Lord and walk in His ways be blessed upon this earth and accomplish great things. According to this Auspicious word, Lord, perform wonders in their lives.
May this word be fulfilled from this very moment. Amen.
