The Significance of Prayer! - Bro. T. Stephen

My Dearly beloved in Christ, I greet and bless you all in the name of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. In these present times, it is crucial that we pray for this world. Revival comes in families and countries only due to prayer. Satan will bring many hindrances to your prayer life. He will try to obstruct you from praying, but our prayers can block him.

We must become strong prayer warriors. Then we will find favor with the Lord. We spend 24 hours a day – eating, sleeping, and working. But how much time do we spend praying? Are you saying – “there is no such specific time”? Our Lord looks at us today and asks, “Could you not stay awake and pray even for one hour? (Mathew 26:40). How can we forget – With what great burden He interceded for us? Only when we face difficulties, we pray and seek God. Then we lose our peace of mind and lament that there is no one to help us in this sinful world.  There is a beautiful Bible verse that says: “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:6,7).

Dear children of God, engrave this Bible verse in your mind, and when you face difficulty let your requests be known only to God in prayer so that you will receive the victory and miracle from Him.  In the bible, we read about Moses, who took His difficulties to God in prayer and won the victory.

“So, Moses cried out to the Lord, saying, “Please heal her, O God, I pray!” (Numbers 12:13).

There are many types of prayer – praying with tears, praying with praise, praying with intercession. Moses was the first person to introduce the prayer of pleading with God. We have observed many mothers pleading and imploring their toddlers to eat their food.  Even a stubborn child will concede to their mother’s pleading. We read in the bible how God punished Miriam with leprosy because she spoke against Moses her brother. Instead of getting furious with Miriam, Moses pleaded with God on her behalf. This pleading prayer of Moses softened God’s heart and He healed Miriam. What a compassionate God we have! When we plead in prayer with God for our problems, diseases, and agony, He will definitely have mercy on us! He will deliver and heal us!

Even when Jesus was hanging on the cross, He pleaded with God for His persecutors, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they do.” (Luke 23:34). How deep is God’s love for mankind! Cling to this loving God and learn to pray and get the victory!

Prayer: Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Dear Lord, I pray for my children those who are reading this message. Lord help them to keep their burdens and worries upon you, devote more time to tarry in prayer and inherit their blessings! Give them the grace to hold on to you in every circumstance of their life!

In Jesus Name We Pray.

Amen.
