The Real Sacrifice - Bro. T. Stephen

My beloved Children in Christ, I greet and bless you all in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. I am delighted to meet you all on this day April 7thGood Friday through this daily Auspicious Word program. Today the whole world remembers Good Friday. Jesus Christ came to this earth for us, did ministry, performed miracles, wonders, died, was buried, and rose again on the third day. The Lord has buried many things in our life. When He was buried, our sins were buried, our curses were buried, our disgrace was buried, because He bore everything on the cross. Today God speaks through an amazing verse.

Isaiah 53:4 “Surely He has borne our grief and carried our sorrows.” Truly He took up our pain and bore our suffering. Some may say, “Only God and I know what I am going through.” Others may say, “Only I know what I am going through.” Whatever grief or suffering you have gone through. He desires to help you in your sorrow. Many will laugh; make fun of it saying they deserve this and more. They will say, “From the way you were behaving, we knew this would happen.” There is a proverb, Reckless Words Pierce Like A Sword on a burn. He might already be distressed, broken hearted, but they cannot rest until they have hurt him more. But our God is not like that. He bore all our griefs on His body. Like a farmer ploughs the field, His body was completely ploughed. This is what Bible Scholars say. The whip that the Roman soldiers had lead balls. When it was used to flog , pieces of flesh would come with it. How many lashes! How much reproach! How much disgrace! How much suffering! How much pain! If someone is reaping the consequences of their mistakes, it is fine. Yes, I did wrong, so for the sin I committed, I have to undergo this. His heart will rationalise like this. But the sinless Holy Jesus Christ, how did He submit Himself to undergo all this. Just imagine. His love for us!

Kavignar Kannadasan wrote a book ‘Yesu Kaaviyam’ The sufferings of Jesus Christ are described in the poetic form. After he finished writing this book, he went abroad. He had planned to release it once he returned. But he did not return alive. He died while he was abroad. Yesu Kaaviyam was the last book he wrote. His body was brought back. But everything including the foreword, conclusion had been completed. In the foreword he has written that once while writing a song for a movie “God should be born as a man. He should experience the agony of being in love.” I had written a song like this before I knew the life story of Jesus Christ. But after I wrote His life history as a poem I know Jesus Christ came to this earth as a man. He fell in love with mankind and suffered agony. He wrote on the sufferings, death of Jesus as the saints informed him. In the author’s note he has written God has not experienced love failure, but now he says truly He was born as a man, fell in love with mankind, agonised over them and gave His life for them. There is no greater love than this love! This is what he wrote in the foreword.

Just imagine the sins of the entire mankind He bore on His body. He fell three times unable to bear the burden of the cross. He fell not because the cross was heavy, but because of the sins of those who lived in the past, who were now living, who were yet to be born. The sins committed, being committed and to be committed. Every sin, grief He bore on Himself. He bore all the griefs on His body. He fell because of this burden. On the streets of Jerusalem many women are crying. He told them don’t cry for me. Rather, cry for yourselves and your children. Even during this time, he consoled them. Such a wonderful person is our God.

On this Good Friday as we meditate on the burdens and death of Jesus remember He has already borne all your griefs on the cross. The sorrows you are bearing is only for a short time. God is prophetically saying your light affliction is but for a moment after which great, mighty things, which are not visible, wonders that cannot be fathomed, miracles that cannot be counted will happen. Tolerate your suffering for a short while great blessings are in store for you. He carried all our griefs. A woman who is referred as ‘a woman who had an issue of blood’ Her name is mentioned in the Bible, but her suffering became her name. Haemorrhaging for 12 years. Non-stop. She had spent a lot on treatment. Still, she did not get better at all. The bleeding did not reduce at all. Just imagine the magnitude of her suffering. What a great torture it is the women will know. There is no greater suffering than that. 12 years of bleeding. But one day she had the opportunity to meet Jesus. She heard Jesus was passing through her city. That day her suffering came to an end. When she heard that Jesus was coming she decided to make use of the chance. She ran into the crowd. A huge crowd was around Jesus she stealthily went in and desired to somehow touch Him. Her fingers touched the helm of His garment. Inside the crowds she fell, was walked over, but as her fingers touched the helm the fountain of her blood was dried up. Jesus turned around asked, “Who touched Me?” Everyone said, “You see the multitude thronging You, and You say, ‘Who touched Me?’ ” She touched Him with faith. That is why power went directly to her. Not to the multitude thronging. She touched Jesus with the faith that she would be healed. It was her faith the power from Jesus flowed to her. the fountain of her blood was dried up. She felt the healing. She came and stood before the Lord. Jesus said, “Go in peace, and be healed of your affliction.” All your suffering till now which destroyed your peace have come to an end. Go in Peace.
Beloved children, today you are in the midst of suffering, if you have the faith that this woman had, today all your suffering and pain will come to an end. God is giving to you as a prophetic word on Good Friday.

The blessings that you are losing, the wine that is getting spoilt. God will do a miracle so that you can experience it. On one side he bore all our griefs, on the other side he carried our sorrows. What are you sorrowful over today? Are you unable to overcome the sorrow of losing a loved one and going to depression? The time you spent with them, the days you lived with them, the kindness they showed you, the love they showered on you, thinking about all this have you gone into the pit of despair? Today Jesus has carried your sorrows. Believe this word. Henceforth you should not carry them. On this Good Friday, Jesus bore your sins, curses, so from now on, you don’t have to carry them. Some people refer it as sad Friday, but it is Good Friday. This is the day the Lord has carried all your grief and sorrows. The day when He gloriously gave His life and gloriously claimed victory. Buried all our sins, causing us to rise with authority. It is a day of victory.

Prayer:
Dear Lord, we thank You. We believe that all our griefs have come to an end. Burden in our bodies, burden in the families, an unspeakable shame. Struggle at work, struggle in ministry. Let my children’s head be raised wherever they are. Bring an end to every struggle at work, business and ministry. May my children see miracles. You carried all their sorrows. Remove every sorrow. May it all be turned to joy. May the years they faced pain, grief be recompensed with joy and happiness. May glorious celebrations happen in the family. May mighty things happen. I bless them and pray that there will be many good incidents in their family. Let them see miracles. In Jesus name. Amen.
