The Lord Will Never Leave You as an Orphan - Bro. T. Stephen

Beloved children of God in Christ, I greet and bless you all in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. I am delighted to meet you through this Auspicious word on June 23rd. May God bless you abundantly.

What is the Auspicious word the Lord has for us today? Let us read John 14:18: “I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you.”

Today, many of you may be saying, “I am like an orphan. I feel abandoned by everyone. There is no one for me. Though I have a husband, I feel like a widow. Though I have parents, I feel fatherless.” To such children of God who are living in pain and loneliness, the Lord is coming in search of your homes today. He says, “I will come to you. I will not leave you as orphans.”

Even if the love of earthly parents fails, the love of the Lord never fails. The Lord who declared His unfailing love is looking at you today and saying, “Whether others stand with you or not, I am with you.” There can be no greater assurance than this. He promises that He will never leave you as an orphan.

The Lord met Hagar when she wandered helplessly in the wilderness. He rescued her son Ishmael when he was on the verge of death. He made him a mighty archer and raised great nations and kings from his descendants. The Lord wiped away Hagar’s tears and brought honor to her family. The same Lord is alive today. If He did such wonders for Hagar, will He not do them for you? Certainly, He will.

When Ishmael’s life seemed to be over, the Lord intervened, gave him a new beginning, and blessed him with prosperity and a great future. In the same way, the Lord will do wonderful things for you. Therefore, be rooted in faith. Say, “The Lord will do something for me.” When you trust Him, He will carefully provide everything you need.

Perhaps you are thinking, “If my father were alive, he would have settled my life and arranged my marriage.” Do not worry. Your Heavenly Father will do it for you. Maybe you are saying, “If my father were here, he would have built me a house.” The Lord says, “I am your Father. I will provide for you.” He will take the place of a loving father and meet all your needs without any lack.

Testimony

“Praise be to God. I watch the Mangala Vaarthai program every morning and receive the Lord’s blessings. My son works in the Bahamas. He was burdened with additional responsibilities and had to do the work of those under him as well. He worked day and night, including holidays. Because of this heavy workload, he became discouraged and depressed. The company was also planning to appoint another officer above him, which made him even more distressed. He even considered resigning and returning to Sri Lanka.

At that time, I sent a prayer request to Brother Stephen and asked him to pray. Brother prayed earnestly and replied. After that prayer, the employees working under my son began completing their responsibilities properly and submitted all reports and documents correctly. The company cancelled its plan to appoint another officer over him. Instead, they recognized his hard work, appreciated him, and honored him.”

Prayer

Loving Lord, we thank You. The Lord who performed a miracle for this son, perform miracles. Today You have promised, “I will not leave you as orphans.” Wherever the children of these parents are—whether in another city or another country—if they feel lonely and abandoned, visit them today. Perform miracles in their lives and help them prosper in every way.

Lord, just as You gave new life and hope to Hagar’s son when he wandered helplessly in the wilderness, visit every person who is wandering through seasons of dryness, scarcity, and sorrow. Grant their children good job opportunities, a bright future, and divine favor. Open special doors for their progress. Help them grow, expand, and flourish. Let them live with dignity and honor in this world.

Lord, graciously do these things for Your children. According to this Auspicious word, we bless them and pray for them. May this word be fulfilled in their lives from this very moment.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
