March 13, 2026
Beloved children of God in Christ, I greet you all in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. I am delighted to meet you through this Auspicious word on this March 13th. May God bless you.
What is the Auspicious word for us today? Let us read from the book of the prophet Book of Nahum 1:7: “The Lord is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble.”
Some of you may have woken up this morning saying, “I am in a critical situation. I am stuck in a serious problem. Who will bring me out of this crisis? How will I escape from this trouble?” If you are thinking like that, here is the answer from the Word of God.
“The Lord is good; He is a stronghold in the day of trouble.”
This means that the Lord Himself will protect you in times of trouble. No matter what evil people plan against you—whether they try to harm you through hatred, revenge, or even through witchcraft or black magic—the Lord will protect you.
The Word of the Lord will surround you like a protective fence and keep you safe. Do not worry about any deadly attack or evil plan. Even if many people try to harm you through evil means, you need not fear. According to this promise, in times of trouble the Lord will be your stronghold and protection.
Testimony
A sister shared this testimony: “I participated in the Kumari Blessing Meeting held on January 15th, 16th, and 17th at Scott Christian College. I attended all three days. On the second day I came with many expectations. During the meeting Brother Stephen prayed and shared a Mangala Vaarthai.
At that time I did not fully understand the meaning of the prayer.
Later, my college friends organized a reunion gathering for senior citizens aged around 50 years at Thekkady. Thirteen of us travelled together in a van for sightseeing. On the way, the van developed a problem and stopped midway. The driver told us to remain inside while he checked the problem.
But I said it might take time, so we should get down and wait outside until it was repaired. I took my suitcase and got down. Seeing me, the others also got down with their suitcases. We walked a little distance away.
When the driver opened the bonnet, suddenly the petrol tank burst and caught fire. Within minutes the van was burning intensely and was completely engulfed in flames.
Only then I remembered the words spoken during the prayer. Those words did not save me alone but also saved the thirteen people who were with me and who did not even know Jesus. This news was even shown on Manorama News, where the video of the burning van was displayed.”
See how the Lord protected them. That sister had come to the meeting expecting something else. But during the individual prayer the Lord gave her a Mangala Vaarthai. The very next day, when she went out with her friends, that word protected not only her but all thirteen people who were with her.
The driver had asked them to remain inside the van. If they had stayed inside, their lives could have been in danger. But because of the promise given by the Lord, they came out of the van, and soon after that the vehicle burned completely.
Children of God, see how the Lord protects those who receive His word. Not only that sister but also her friends were saved.
Prayer
Loving Lord, we thank You. Today we meditated on the word: “The Lord is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble.” According to this promise, for all those —during times of crisis, danger, sickness, loneliness, or accidents—be their stronghold and prove to them that You are a good God.
Even today, look upon the children who are celebrating their birthday or wedding anniversary. May this word be fulfilled in their lives.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
