My dearly beloved brothers and sisters in Christ, I greet and bless you all in the Name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Today the special word of God for you is taken from the book of Joshua 3:5, “Sanctify yourselves, for tomorrow the Lord will do wonders among you.”
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, the responsibility of leading the people to the land of Canaan was handed over to Joshua after the death of Moses. He led the Israelite tribes in the conquest of Canaan. Now there was the river Jordan, before them and they had to cross it before they entered into the land of Canaan. Only if they cross the River Jordan they will be able to go to the Promised Land, Canaan. They were standing before the river. An extraordinary miracle should happen for them to cross the river. The river was flowing in full swing and lakhs of people had to cross this river. Joshua was seriously thinking as to how he was going to help the people cross the river and lead them to the Promised Land. God gave him a good counseling. If today they purified themselves then the next day God will perform a miracle for them and help them to cross the river. He would separate the river Jordan as God separated the Red Sea. Having received the counseling from God, Joshua looked at the people and told them the above word of God. “Sanctify yourselves, today, for tomorrow the Lord will do wonders among you.”
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, He instructed them to sanctify themselves. He assured them that while they get ready to cross the river the Lord will descend upon them in a marvelous manner and perform a miracle for them and separate the overflowing waters so that they could cross the river without any difficulty. They trusted in God and were prepared to sanctify themselves. It was necessary to trust in God, and also sanctify them to receive the miracle of God. The Lord has said that without holiness no one can see the glory of God. What does this mean? It means that if they all sanctify themselves then surely the Lord will descend upon them in a mighty manner and they can see God. And He will perform a miracle for them, so as to cross the river. As per this plan all of them sanctified themselves.And the next day morning as soon as the priests carrying the ark of God, set their feet into the river the waters receded and separated for them to walk through. Then they all began to walk to the land of Canaan through the separated path. Even today, many of God’s promises have not been fulfilled in your life. You received many of God’s promises but they have not been fulfilled in your life.You could have received many promises through Preachers, pastors in your church, or through Prophets or through messages that you read daily or from the reading of God’s word. If you want those promises to be fulfilled in your life then you need to sanctify yourselves. And pray to the Lord. You need not do anything else.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, You need not even tell the Lord about what you need. He knows all about it. Be holy and perfect in the sight of God. Then God will immediately answer your prayers. And it will be marvelous in your sight. Secondly ask God to forgive you of all your sins which you did knowingly and unknowingly. God will immediately come and sit in the throne of your heart. And after that wherever you go, you will prosper in all things. All your expectations will be fulfilled. You have many plans for today, to go for an interview. May be you have to go out to look out for a good bride or bridegroom. Or you may be planning to go to a foreign country, or you may have to go for an interview regarding your Visa processing, or you may have to go for a medical test, or regarding the pending court case. You have planned to go somewhere for some purpose, God will make it possible. So what you need to do is to sanctify yourselves and pray to God. God will surely fulfill all the promises which He has given for you in your life.
Prayer: Dear Lord we thank you. Lord I bless all the children who are reading this message. We thank You Lord for giving to us a good formula in the word of God to be followed. You have asked us to sanctify ourselves that you might perform miracles in our lives. Your children are expecting many miracles to happen in their lives. Bless all those who have come forward to sanctify themselves, and as they submit themselves to You Lord I pray that you will sanctify each one of them. Those who ask for forgiveness I pray Lord that You will forgive them and having forgiven them, and may you be seated in the throne of their heart, and may they say, “Lord it is not I who lives But Christ lives inside of me. May they carry you Lord and receive the Blessings that you have planned for them. In Jesus Name We Pray.
