Prepared for Victory - Bro. T. Stephen

Beloved children of God, I greet and bless you all in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. I am delighted to meet you on this 3rd of March. May God richly bless you.

Let us read Proverbs 21:31: “The horse is prepared for the day of battle, but deliverance is of the Lord.”

What does this mean? A horse taken directly to the battlefield without training will struggle. It will not know what to do and may even cause harm. Before a horse is sent into battle, it is carefully trained and prepared. The more training it receives, the greater its chances of victory.

In the same way, before you expect victory in anything, preparation is necessary. This verse teaches us that while victory comes from the Lord, preparation is our responsibility.

Students who are writing exams must prepare well. You must study, revise, practice, and pray. That is preparation. Consider athletes: when runners first train for a race, they may complete a distance in one minute. With continued training, they aim to reduce the time to 55 seconds, then to 50 seconds. Improvement comes through consistent effort and preparation.

My beloved children of God, training and preparation are very important. Whatever you attempt—if you do not prepare for it—it may end in failure. Before victory, preparation is essential.

If you are preparing for exams—whether public exams, government jobs, or bank jobs—work hard and pray faithfully. When effort and prayer come together, the Lord grants success. I wholeheartedly bless you that Jehovah Nissi, the Lord your Banner, will give you victory.

Some of you feel you have failed in life. Even for you, a victorious family life is possible. Pray in the presence of God and prepare yourself. The Lord will do great things.

Those preparing for marriage must also prepare properly. Pray, “Lord, lead me to the right family and not the wrong one.” Along with prayer, take practical steps. Do not think marriage will happen automatically without effort. You must inform others, seek alliances, and take appropriate action. When prayer and effort combine, the Lord will bless you.

Some long for the blessing of a child. They pray but may neglect necessary preparation in their relationship. The enemy often creates distance between husband and wife. Success requires both effort and prayer together.

Testimony:

“We made many efforts to buy our own house but were unable to do so. With great expectation, we attended the Anbarin Paathathil Oru Naal meeting and prayed with Brother Stephen. He shared a Mangala Vaarthai and prayed for us. We continued to declare that word daily. By God’s grace, we have now purchased a new property.”

They made effort on one side and prayed on the other. When both combined, the Lord granted success. He will do the same for you.

Prayer

Loving Lord, we thank You. Some of Your children acted without preparation and faced failure in exams, business, or marriage matters. You said, “The horse is prepared for battle, but deliverance is of the Lord.” If even a horse needs preparation, how much more do we?

Lord, grant wisdom to Your children to prepare diligently, work hard, and pray faithfully. Break every barrier and perform miracles. Restore broken relationships between husbands and wives. Remove hindrances and bless them with the gift of children.

Renew faith in business. Cancel negative thoughts. Grant profit and growth. Bless students with excellent marks. Help them use their time wisely and prepare thoroughly. May the Holy Spirit guide those writing public exams and grant them success.

Look upon those celebrating their birthdays and wedding anniversaries today. May this Word be fulfilled in their lives throughout this year from this very moment.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
