August 31, 2025
Beloved children of God in Christ, I greet and bless you all in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. I am delighted to meet you on this day, August 31st—the last day of the month—through this Mangala Vaarthai Program. May God bless you.
What is the Auspicious word the Lord has for us today, on this last day of the month? Let us read Psalm 62:5: “My soul, wait silently for God alone, for my expectation is from Him.”
Today, the Lord is telling you that what you hope for will surely come from Him. This is the Auspicious word that David spoke to comfort his own soul. He said to himself: “My soul, do not worry. Patiently wait and look upon the Lord, rest silently, for my expectation will surely come from Him.” He gave his soul a guarantee. For his soul that was crying, he himself spoke words of comfort.
Sometimes when troubles come in our family, when problems arise in the workplace, when losses occur, when damage happens—we sit by ourselves lamenting. Our soul keeps weeping within us, longing for someone to comfort us. At such times, if we sit in prayer, the comforting Holy Spirit will give words of encouragement to us, even through us. In the same way, when David was upset, he comforted his own soul by saying: “My soul, wait silently for God alone, for my expectation is from Him.” And in the end, every expectation he placed on God was fulfilled. The Bible says all that he believed for, he received.
Even today, everything you are hoping for, waiting for, and expecting will come from the hands of God. Good gifts and perfect gifts come down from the Father of Lights, and today He will give such gifts to you and your household—your husband, wife, children, grandchildren, grandparents. The Lord will send good gifts from heaven above, and the blessings you have longed for, waited for, and prayed for will come to you like the fruit of the tree of life.
It might be a job, your own house, a visa, marriage, the gift of a child, the gift of the Spirit, or repentance. Whatever you have been expecting, the Lord will surely give and honour you. In the very matter you have been waiting on, the Lord will send a miracle. So first, give thanks to God for it. As you enter the new month, the Lord will surely bless you.
Testimony
Praise be to God! It has been 2 ½ years since I got married. During this time, I developed tumours in both my breasts. When the doctors examined me, they said one tumour felt different and there were chances of it being cancerous. They took a biopsy and sent it for testing. I was gripped with the fear of death.
In that situation, I participated in the Anbarin Paathathil Oru Naal fasting meeting. During prayer, Brother Stephen said, “One sister has come with a tumour in her breast. You are afraid, thinking it is cancerous. But right now, fire is coming from heaven and burning away that tumour. It is becoming normal.”
No one knew about my problem, but God revealed it through His servant. I was comforted. Later, when I went to the hospital, the doctor confirmed it was a normal tumour and I had nothing to worry about. After further prayer, the tumour completely disappeared.
What a beautiful testimony! Just 2 ½ years into marriage, to face tumours in both breasts—what a shock, and how much fear of death must have filled them! But when they came trusting in the Lord at Anbarin Paathathil Oru Naal, God performed a miracle. Even today, the Lord will do a miracle for you too.
Prayer
Loving Lord, we thank You. You did a miracle for Your beloved daughter Priyanka. As she received the healing she hoped for, today let my children also receive what they are hoping for. Comfort their souls, Lord. Give them the guarantee that all their expectations will come from You.
I bless them that everything they have been waiting and longing for a long time, which has not yet happened, will surely happen. Specifically, many children are weeping because their marriage is delayed. Break every barrier, Lord, and grant them a blessed inheritance. Many children are saying, “We do not have the fruit of the womb.” May they conceive this month itself. Make them joyful mothers of children who dwell happily.
Some servants of God are watching, asking for gifts of the Spirit and the grace of revelation to do ministry. Lord, grant their request and make their hearts rejoice.
Even today, we look upon those celebrating their birthdays and wedding anniversaries. According to Psalm 92:10, may they be anointed with fresh oil.
In Jesus’ mighty name I pray.
Amen.
