Jesus was filled with compassion - Bro. T. Stephen

My Dear Brothers and Sisters,  I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you today, is from the book  of Matthew 20:34 “Jesus had compassion on them and  touched their eyes.”

From the above context we come to understand that Jesus gives attention to those who sincerely cry out to Him, in their deep need, with the persistence of faith.

Once while Jesus and His disciples were passing by on their mission, from Jericho towards   Jerusalem for the Passover,   He came across two blind men. They were on the roadside begging for food.  When these two men heard that Jesus was passing by, they cried out saying “’ Have mercy on us, O Lord, Son of David.”

Then the multitude “ warned them that they should be quiet,  but they cried out even more. saying, Have mercy on us, O Lord, Son of David.”  Jesus stood still and called them, and said, “What do you want Me to do for you?”  They said to Him, “ Lord that our eyes may be opened.” Jesus had compassion on them, and touched their eyes. And immediately their eyes received sight  and they followed Him.

Today a miracle is about to happen for you, for your child for your husband and your family. God is waiting to help you in your crisis. Today is a day of miracle for you. You too like these blind men have come to the street with the hope of seeking help from someone who would pay the fees for your children.  You might have sought the help of your brother or your sister, or your dear friend. But all have failed to help you. They might have criticized you or might have made fun of your current situation. What seems very serious to you might seem very unimportant to them, so they have despised and rebuked you. You now stand on the street with much shame and humiliation. You might even think of committing suicide because, you might have lost your job, or you might have gone through a fall in your business. You have lost all hope of living. But this is the time when Jesus is willing to help you.

Since all have failed to help you please cry out to God. The Bible says, “Then they cried out to the Lord, in their trouble. And He saved them from out of their distress.” Jesus has compassion for you, right now He is standing at your doorstep to help you.  When you cry out to Him, He will answer you speedily. The Lord sets the poor on high, far from affliction, and makes their families like a flock. Therefore, cry out to the Living God who sees your affliction and saves you from your distress. God bless you.

Prayer: Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Lord we thank You because You are a God of compassion. When the blind men cried out to You Lord,  you heard their cry touched their eyes and gave them sight. Touch us O Lord and heal our body,  soul and spirit that we may walk worthy of You, Most High God. Help us to follow You,  like the blind men who followed You to Jerusalem.

In Jesus name we pray.

Amen.
