My Dear Brother and Sister, I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you today, is from the book of Luke 8:48 Jesus said to her “Daughter,be of good cheer, Your faith has made you well. Go In Peace. ”
My Dear Brother and Sister, From the above context we understand that the woman had great faith. And since she exercised her faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, she was healed of her disease. While Jesus lived on the face of this earth, He went about doing good. He made the lame to walk the blind to see and the deaf to hear. He performed great many miracles. So a large crowd thronged around him always. The incident occurred while Jesus was travelling to different places in the city of Capernaum, where Jesus was living at the time.
My Dear Brother and Sister, As Jesus was walking along with the crowd, A man named Jairus’ fell down at the feet of Jesus and begged Him to come to his house. As his only daughter, about twelve years, of age was dying. But on the way, as Jesus went the people thronged Him. In the midst of a large crowd, a woman who was suffering with a flow of blood, wanted to touch the hem of His garment. She had spent all her livelihood, on medical treatment, yet she couldn’t be healed. This tragic woman, confined to her house for twelve long years? But having heard of Jesus and His great miracles she gained much courage and therefore she approached Jesus with much fear and reverence, and managed to touch the hem of His garment. And immediately her flow of blood, stopped. But Jesus said, Somebody touched Me. For I perceived, power going out from Me.
My Dear Brother and Sister, When the woman came to know, that she was not hidden, she came trembling and fell down before Jesus in the presence of all the people in the crowd. She declared to Him in the presence of all the people, the reason why she had touched Him and how she was healed, immediately. On hearing her words, Jesus said to her, “Daughter be of good cheer, your faith has made you well. ” While Jesus was speaking, someone came from, the house of Jairus, and said, Your daughter is dead, Do not trouble the “Teacher. ’’But When Jesus heard it, He answered him saying, “Do not be afraid, only believe and she will be made well.”Jesus was actually on His way to Jairus’ house to heal his daughter to life. But the Lord was obstructed by the woman with the issue of blood. Now that she was healed Jesus went to Jairus’ house to see the dying daughter. When He reached her house, He noticed that all were crying over the death of the little girl. So Jesus said to them, Do not weep, She is not dead, but sleeping.” The people gathered there laughed Him to scorn, knowing that she was dead. But Jesus sent them all away, took the girl by her hand and said, “Little girl arise.”Then her spirit returned, and she arose, immediately. And her parents were astonished.
My Dear Brother and Sister, Thus we see how the Lord healed the woman who suffered with an issue of blood, for twelve long years, and also gave life to the dying daughter of Jairus. Sickness and death can happen through many ways in a person’s life Some might become sick or demon possessed, when the evil spirit, sits inside of him. Sometimes due to family curse, or generation curse a person might acquire certain disease. When a Person reaches a particular age he dies. And this occurs repeatedly in his family. This is a curse. Sometimes God Himself might allow illness in order to test the faith of that person. Often people get so worried about their illness. It would look like a mountain before them. They grow afraid that the sickness would lead to death. But the Bible says, “ that when one falls ill then, the people will say,” An evil disease has clung to him therefore he has fallen on his sick bed.” And Since he has fallen on his sick bed he will not rise up again. They say,” that is the end of him.” This is the way of the wicked. They might say, an incurable disease has caught him. This is the assumption of people. But God is above all. He says, “ I know the thoughts that I think towards you. Thoughts of peace and not of evil. To give you a future and a hope. ” No matter how a person is affected by sickness God is able to heal all kinds of disease. He is God of all flesh, nothing is too hard for Him that He cannot do.
My Dear Brother and Sister, Are you suffering from an incurable disease ? Are you taking variety of medicines? And yet you are not getting healed. You feel so frustrated and disgusted with your life. Because you have become a nuisance to your own kith and kin. You seem to be troublesome to others at home. For such kind of people, God is going to perform a miracle for you today. For those of you who are reading this message, make use of the opportunity that is given to you. Increase your faith in God. Just as the woman with the issue of blood, was healed because of her ardent faith in Jesus, you also will be healed of your disease. God can even raise you up from your dead condition, if you believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, you shall see the glory of God. Love Jesus and you will be healed. God will protect you with a wall of fire around about you. You will be safe in His arms. God bless you.
Prayer: Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Increase our faith in You Lord. Make us to be bold like the woman with an issue of blood, and touched the hem of Your garment. Just as Jairus fell at Your feet teach us to surrender ourselves at Your feet. Thank You Lord for releasing your power upon us. Thank you for healing all our disease, and satisfying our hungry souls. We cast all our burden upon You. We believe in You Lord. Therefore bless us and sustain us for your glory.
