I give you My Peace - Bro. T. Stephen

My Dear Brothers and Sisters, I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord.  The blessed word that God has given for you today is from the book of John 14: 27 ,  “Peace I leave with you.  My peace I give to  You, not as the world gives do I give to you,Let not your heart be troubled,   neither let it be afraid.”

The above verse is spoken by Lord Jesus Christ.  He makes his last will and testament and as the best legacy He could leave them.  He   bequeaths peace unto them. Jesus left the gospel of peace with them. He made a covenant of peace by His precious blood that He might reconcile the minds of men to God and Christ. Just as Christ has kept his disciples in peace one with another, He left his peace with all mankind. He was about to leave his disciples so He diffused His peace upon them. He wanted all men to live united in peace and joy.  Since He was acclaimed as the Prince of Peace.

My Dear Brothers and Sisters,  What have you been afraid  of ?  What are the matters that has disturbed you in your mind ?  Take it to the Lord. Leave it in His hands. He will settle all your problems.  For He is the peacemaker. He says,   My peace I give to you. He does not give you the peace as the world would gives,   for it is short lived. But the peace that Jesus gives is everlasting.  Therefore do not be afraid, for though you go through many struggles in your life yet His peace  will sustain you. It is in such hard situation that you need to hold on to   Him firmly.  Holding   on to Jesus firmly, should be the attitude of every Christian,  to  enjoy his life in this world and the world to come.  Some   hold   on to  Jesus to obtain something from Him.  After they receive what they need they just drift away from Him. This is a wrong attitude.  One must always,   acknowledge  the Saviour  for who He is. May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy  Spirit.

God bless you.

Prayer:

Our loving heavenly Father, we   thank You   for this blessed day.  Thank you for the  peace  you have granted to us.   Help   us  to abide  in peace  and  serenity. Remove all unwanted thoughts   that  cause  distress and pain. Fill our hearts with perfect peace and joy.  May the Lord help us to reconcile with God almighty in every step we take.  In Jesus name we pray.

Amen.
