My Dear Brothers and Sisters, I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you today is from the book of Isaiah 23:18 , “And her merchandise and her hire shall be holiness to the Lord: it shall not be treasured nor laid up; for her merchandise shall be for them that dwell before the Lord, to eat sufficiently, and for durable clothing.”
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, from the above context we come to understand that the love of worldly wealth and covetousness is spiritual idolatry. This clearly directs those that have wealth to use it in the service of God. When we do all things in power to further the ministry then our merchandise and hire are holiness to the Lord. This means that our job, our work place and business that we do , should be sanctified by God.
“Her gain will be for those who dwell before the Lord’’
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, this statement means, that your wealth acquired through your job or your business should be consecrated to the service of God. God expects you to devote your wealth and all your belongings to God. So that God will be pleased and glorified through your sincere service. Therefore your work, business and all your income, should be sanctified by God. The Presence of God should remain with you at your work place, Gods direct view should be upon your business or work place. You should be careful never to spoil the name of God in the place you work. For this God expects a change in your behaviour and in your attitude towards God and His service. In whatever situation you might be you should never bring bad name to God. God is looking out for a real change in your life. You need to put an end to all the displeasing behaviour which you have been indulging yourself until this day.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, Only if there is a change in your attitude and life style, regarding holiness and devotion to God , will you experience profit or gain in your business. Only then you will be blessed at your work place or you will get a promotion in your job. May God help you to be the kind of person, God wants you to be. Pleasing unto Him in all your ways. Obedient and devoted in your services to God. Then you will have plenty to eat, and will be able to put on fine linen clothes and live a happy life among your people and live a life of testimony. For this your business that you do , will be of great help to you. So may your business be sanctified by God.

Our Loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Lord we thank you for making us understand that our job and business should be sanctified. We pray that God’s direct view will be upon our workplace, job, and our business. Help us to give up all displeasing behaviour and change ourselves according to God’s expectation. May we live a life of satisfaction, with plenty to eat and raiment to dress well and live a life of testimony. In Jesus name we pray.
