I greet and bless you in the name of our Creator, Maker, and ever unforgettable Lord Jesus Christ. The blessed word that the Lord has given for you today is from the book of Genesis 28:20, 21, “Then Jacob made a vow, saying, “If God will be with me, and keep me in this way, that I am going, and give me bread to eat, and clothing to put on, So that I come back to my father’s house, in peace, then the Lord shall be My God. “
From the above context we learn that Jacob was leaving his fathers house, to make a better life in Padan Aram his uncles place. His mother’s brother Laban was living there with sheep and cattle, so Jacob decided to go there and make a better living. Before leaving he received the blessings of his father Isaac and his mother Rebecca and started on his journey. He left his father’s house without any big investment. All he had was the blessings of his parents and the blessings of his Father’s. God was very pleased upon this young lad who was going out to make a better life. God loves those children who are very responsible and are ready to move to distant place to help the family make a better living. Such children are always blessed by God.
Those of you who are reading this message may have young sons or daughters and if such children decide to go out to distant place to improve the status of your family then God would support such children who shoulder the responsibility of the family. God supported Jacob; He also loved him because his journey to a distant place was for a purpose of great achievement. He who went to his uncles place with empty hand and with only a staff, returned to his father’s house after a long period of twenty years, with two companies as a rich and wealthy man. He had plenty of sheep and cattle, men and women to serve him. God will help your children similarly. On his journey, Jacob was sleeping in the night. The Lord met him in the lonely wilderness; God loved Jacob because he was taking a journey with a great zeal. God doesn’t like lazy people. Therefore God descended upon him in a marvelous manner, and also spoke to him saying, “Behold I am with you, and will keep you wherever you go. And will bring you back to your fathers land, for I will never leave you, until I have done, what I have spoken to you. I will be with you wherever you go. I myself will protect you, You will go and earn money and become rich and you shall return back to your fathers place safely.
The Bible says, God is not man that He should lie. He is a God who keeps his promise. All His promises are yes and amen in Christ Jesus. You can rely on His word. So I encourage those of you who are making an effort to go for an onsite job opportunity or for settlement abroad or any part of the world to go out boldly. The Lord will be a guide to you and help you in your endeavor. You also shall go and make better a life and return to your home town safely. But you need the blessings of your parents and God, Only then you can achieve great things in your life. Many of you would have completed your studies and about to start your career. The Lord is saying, “I will be a strong support to you, in the journey of your achievement. I will be favorable to you, guide you, and help you, achieve great things in your life. ”I will be with you wherever you go and help you in your effort to make a better living. You may not have sufficient money for your investment to start your business. Do not worry because your parents may not be in a position to give you money for your journey. Trust in the Almighty God. He will meet all your needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. So all you need to do is to take the blessing of your parents and start your journey. God Bless you.
Prayer: Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Father God we bless your holy name. We will put our trust in You and begin our journey. Be with us and help our journey to be successful. We rely on your promises. We believe that You will take care of our needs. Give us the strength and boldness that Jacob had, to take up a journey for the well-being of our family.
