September 8, 2026
Beloved children of God in Christ, I greet and bless you all in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. I am delighted to meet you all this September 8th through this Auspicious word. May God bless you.
Take and read James 4:10: “Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up.”
Everyone in life has a desire to be exalted and to progress. You too may have that desire, and there is nothing wrong with it. But the Lord gives us a condition: “If you humble yourself, then I will lift you up and adorn you.”
Children of God, if you desire to be exalted, wherever you are, you should remain humble. Humility should be in your heart. Humility should not merely be reflected in your dress or speech; it should be seen in your heart and actions.
If you boast and go around proudly, you will not be able to progress. If you observe carefully, you will find that many people who hold high positions are humble. In our language, we say, “Tone it down.” They do not go around boasting about themselves.
Humble yourself and ask the Lord for a humble heart. When Mary humbled herself before the Lord, the Saviour of the world Himself was conceived in her. The Lord was merciful to her and gave her that great blessing.
On the other hand, consider King Nebuchadnezzar. He boasted about himself, and you know what happened to him. The moment he became proud, a voice came from heaven and declared that his kingdom would be taken away from him. The next moment, he was driven away from his position and lived among the animals, eating grass.
Today, many people are unable to enjoy the blessings they have because of pride. Look at the prodigal son. He demanded his inheritance from his father, saying in effect, “I know everything. I will manage my life.” In the end, he lost everything and was reduced to eating the food given to pigs. His pride led him to destruction.
My beloved children of God, humble yourself before the Lord. He will lift you up. The more you humble yourself, the more the Lord will lift you up and adorn you.
Look at Joseph. When Pharaoh said to him, “I have heard it said of you that when you hear a dream, you can interpret it,” Joseph did not take the glory for himself. He replied, “It is not in me; God will give Pharaoh a favourable answer.”
Joseph humbled himself and gave all the glory to God. Because of this, the Lord lifted him up and made him ruler over the whole land of Egypt.
Therefore, throw away every form of pride—whether it is the pride of your caste, beauty, skin tone, education, position, government job, wealth, or anything else. Say, “Lord, from today, I humble myself before You.” Then the Lord Himself will lift you up and adorn you.
Testimony
“Praise be to God. My father had problems related to urination, so I took him to the doctor. After examining him, the doctor said that his prostate gland was enlarged and inflamed and that surgery would be required.
As soon as we heard this, my family and I became very worried. My mother asked us to send a prayer request by email to Brother Stephen and ask him to pray that my father would be healed without undergoing surgery.
So I sent an email to Brother Stephen. Brother earnestly prayed for my father and sent his Mangala Vaarthai. We claimed that verse and prayed every day.
When we went back to the doctor for another examination, the doctor scanned him and said that his prostate gland was normal.
By the grace of God and through the prayers offered by Brother Stephen, my father was completely healed without undergoing an operation. The Lord will do the same for you.”
Prayer
Loving Lord, we thank You. You have said, “Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up.” Lord, here I am. I am Your servant. Let it be unto me according to Your Word, Your will, and Your plans.
Just as those who humbled themselves before You received blessings, honour, promotion, and increase, I wholeheartedly bless these children to receive the same. Lord, remove every form of pride from their hearts and give them a humble and obedient spirit. As they humble themselves before You, lift them up, honour them, and establish them in high places.
May great things happen in the lives of my children. According to this Auspicious word, may miracles happen in their lives from this very moment. In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.
