My dearly beloved sisters and brothers in Christ, I greet and bless you all in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ — our Creator, our Maker, and the One who never forgets us. The Bible says in 1 Samuel 2:30, “For those who honour Me I will honour.”
It is natural to desire honour and respect from others. There is nothing wrong with wanting to be treated respectfully. Everyone longs to be seen as valuable and to be honoured in society. This is a good desire. No one enjoys being disrespected.
My beloved children of God, let us look at the example of the Shunammite woman. The prophet Elisha once asked her, “What can I do for you? Shall I speak on your behalf to the king?” He wanted to honour her. Why? Because she had honoured a servant of God. Every time Elisha passed by, she welcomed him into her home, fed him good food, and gave him a place to rest. Her hospitality and respect moved the heart of the prophet. In the same way, when you honour the Lord and His servants, the Lord Himself will honour you. But how do we honour God? By respecting His Word and obeying it. That is proof of true honour.
Jesus said, “Whatever you did for one of the least of these, you did for Me.” That means the way we treat our fellow human beings — especially the weak, the poor, or those who serve with us — is the way we treat God Himself. If you look down on someone, God too will regard you as insignificant. Do not consider anyone as worthless. The Bible says their angels always behold the face of the Father in heaven. So, honour everyone — and the Lord will surely honour you.
Testimony – Sister Sumathi:
Praise be to God! My daughter, Revathy, was jobless for two years. She attended the Anbarin Paathathil Oru Naal meeting in the month of May. At the end of the meeting, she received prayer from Brother Stephen. Just two days later, she received a joining order from a well-known company with a high salary! After two years of struggle, the Lord lifted her up when she came into His presence. This is the power of God’s grace and the blessing of gathering at Anbarin Paathathil meetings.
Prayer:
Loving Lord, we thank You. On this June 5th, we lift up all Your children who have been dishonoured and considered insignificant by others. You have said that You honour those who honour You. Lord, honour them today. If they are dishonoured because they lack a certain blessing, we pray that You will release that blessing upon them today. Let it be a miracle that is marvellous in the eyes of all. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
