Beloved Brothers and Sisters in Christ, Greetings and blessings to you all in the mighty name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ! The Bible says in Deuteronomy 15:10, “The Lord your God will bless you in all your works and in all to which you put your hand.”
What a powerful promise! The Lord desires to bless the work of your hands—whether it is your job, business, studies, or ministry. However, it is important for us to examine if the work we have taken up is in alignment with God’s will or simply a result of our own desires and thoughts. That makes all the difference. The Scripture also tells us that “the will of the Lord will prosper in His hand” (Isaiah 53:10), and in Proverbs 10:22, we read, “The blessing of the Lord makes one rich, and He adds no sorrow with it.”
So, if you desire to work or serve without sorrow and with lasting peace, it is essential that you first seek God’s will. Before choosing a job, starting a business, or selecting a course of study, ask the Lord for His guidance. When He leads, He will bless your path and cause you to prosper. You might be saying today, “In the past, the work of my hands has not prospered. I’m struggling with debt, financial scarcity, and an insufficient income. My salary is delayed or withheld. I fell sick and had to take leave, resulting in loss of pay. I’m unable to make ends meet.”
On this Labour Day, I bless you in the name of Jesus Christ: May the Lord grant you divine health, so you can work all 30 days of the month without interruption. May He protect you from sickness that leads to lost wages and bless you with physical strength and well-being.
May God fill you with wisdom, understanding, and knowledge, so you may handle work situations wisely and avoid losses and misunderstandings. May the Lord cause you to excel in your workplace, in your department, and in your business.
As the Bible says in Proverbs 22:29,
“Do you see a man who excels in his work? He will stand before kings; he will not stand before unknown men.”
That’s God’s desire for you—to be excellent and to stand out.
To those preparing to go abroad or waiting for career breakthroughs—may God turn your failures into success. For students unsure of what to study or which career path to choose—may the Lord grant you clarity, wisdom, and divine direction. And for those without any job or business today—may this Labour Day mark a new beginning. May God settle you in a good job and open new doors of opportunity and provision.
Testimony of God’s Faithfulness
Brother Arun Prabhakaran from Surandai, Tenkasi shares: Praise be to God! I was praying for a permanent source of income and sent a prayer request via email to Brother Stephen. He prayed and replied with a Mangala Vaarthai (prophetic word). Within 15 days, by God’s grace, I received a loan and an electricity connection. The Lord helped me start a new business—Blessah Fly Ash Blocks. I glorify the name of the Lord for this miracle and new beginning! This Labour Day, may the Lord bless you abundantly. He has kept us as the apple of His eye and has brought us into a new month.
According to His Word—
“Surely blessing I will bless you, and multiplying I will multiply you.” (Hebrews 6:14)—may the Lord fulfill this promise in your life and bless every work of your hands. In Jesus’ Name, Amen!
