GOD GIVES THE BEST - Bro. T. Stephen

I greet and bless you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. The blessed word that the Lord has given for you today is from the book of  Matthew 7:11 says,  “If ye then being evil know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven, give good things to them that ask of Him?

From the above context we understand that as parents we give our children what is good. We give the best to our children. We love our children so much, that we give them that which is good. We search for it in the shops or market and get them because we wish to satisfy their needs. We are eager to fulfil their desire. We never would postpone their request for a long period. When we as parents wish to fulfil the desire of our children,  how much more will our Heavenly Father, long to fulfil the desire of those who ask Him. Mankind in general are conceived in sin. Most of them are evil in their thoughts and actions. The Bible says, even such people know how to give good gifts to their children. They give their best to their children though it costs them much. In spite of their difficulty they try to meet the need of their children.

When parents can afford to give good gifts to their children, how much more will the Heavenly Father, who is omniscient, and omnipotent, who knows the needs of His children give, what is good and proper for them. David in his psalms says, God satisfies the hungry soul and satisfies your mouth with good things.  The Bible says, God gives all good things, to them that ask Him. All good things refer to both material and spiritual blessings. He will provide you with a good job. Only if you have a good job, with a good salary can you meet all your expenditure. So he blesses you with a job, then a family, then children. He grants you a good house to stay and then he expands the borders of your territory either at your work spot or your business. Gradually but surely God blesses those that depend upon Him. He will neither leave them nor forsake them.

The Bible says, Ask and you shall receive, seek and you shall find “knock and the door shall be opened unto you.”All you got to do is to inquire of God all that you need and surely the Lord will grant you, your petition. God has richly   provided spiritual gifts through the Holy Spirit. These are the gift of wisdom, knowledge   and good understanding.  God not only provides temporal gifts such as meat, drink and clothing, but all spiritual gifts to know about God and His teachings. To understand who God is and what He expects of us are all spiritual gifts. When you desire to know more of Him then He will reveal the gifts of prophesy, to speak in tongues, and the gift of praying for others and the gift of healing others through your prayers.

We receive only when we ask God, what we need. God also expects us to ask Him when we are in need. He says, “Until now you have not asked anything in My Name. Ask and you will receive that your joy may be full. ”God further says, whatever you ask in MY name, This I will do that   the   Father may be glorified in the Son. Therefore if you ask anything in My name, I will do it.”We also need to believe that if we ask anything to God in prayer, we will definitely receive it. Having read this message, I pray that the Lord enable you to completely rely on Him for all your needs. David says in his psalms, “Lord to You all flesh will come, For You hear the prayer. Ask and you will receive. God bless you.

Prayer: Our Loving Heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Lord we thank You because You hear our prayer. You hear the prayer of the destitute. Teach us to ask You in prayer what we need. We also thank You for all the gifts that You have bestowed upon us. Both spiritual and temporal.  In spite of our sinful nature  You consider us and guide us in the way we should go. Help us to understand your Power and Majesty. Thank  You for providing  the best for us,  more than our earthly father.

In Jesus Name we  pray.

Amen.
