My Dear Brothers and Sisters, I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you today is from the book of Deuteronomy 6: 12, “Then Beware lest you forget the Lord who brought you out of the land of Egypt from the house of bondage.”
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, from the above context we understand the importance of remembering God when we are satisfied with the good things that God has provided for us. To receive God’s blessing you need to walk uprightly. God expects you to humble yourself in the mighty hands of God so that He shall exalt you in due time. Meditate on the precepts of God, and contemplate your ways. Delight yourself in His statutes and forget not His word, then God will fill your house with good things. You shall be prosperous and God shall bless you in all the work of your hands.
My dear Brothers and Sisters, All these years, you might have experienced, drop by drop blessing in a little measure. But in future God will bless you in abundance. If God promises, He will keep His promise. This is an easy thing for God to perform, whether with many or with those who have no power. He is a God who gives power to the weak and to those who have no might He increases strength. God says, He will fill you with good things and you shall be satisfied. Maybe all these years you had not been satisfied with any good thing in life. But in future God is going to give you a double portion of blessing.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, when God has thus blessed you with every good thing then beware lest you forget the Lord who brought you out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage. The Lord wants to fill your house with good things for He will not withhold, from you any good thing if you walk uprightly. All these years you have been lamenting and murmuring over the sorrows of your life. But in the future, God is going to bless you with a good job, a rise in your salary, promotion in your job, maybe a good life partner, and an increase in your business. Therefore instead of lamenting, you are going to keep praising all the days of your life.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, God says, that He is going to restore to you all that you have lost in your life. Then you shall eat in plenty and be satisfied. And you should then praise the name of the Lord your God, who has dealt wondrously with you. God shall never put you to shame. My Dear Brothers and Sisters, at that point of time when you are satisfied with good things, then beware lest you forget the Lord who brought you out of the land of Egypt. We need to always remember the Lord God of Israel. You should never forget the creator who made you and blessed you with all good things. Therefore whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do all things to the glory of God.
Prayer:
Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Thank you for telling us that we need to remember the Lord our God when we are filled with His blessings. When we have eaten well and are satisfied with all the good things. We bless your holy name. Teach us to be grateful to God in all circumstances, whether in grief or in joy. In Jesus name, we pray.
