Be Honest and Faithful. - Bro. T. Stephen

My   Dear   Brother  and  Sister in Christ, I greet and bless you in the name of our Creator, Maker, and ever unforgettable Lord Jesus Christ. The blessed word that the Lord has   given   for you today is from the book of Proverbs 15:6 , “The House of the righteous contains  great treasure, but the income of the wicked  brings ruin.”

My Dear Brother And  Sister, From the above context we learn that    In the house of the righteous there will be much treasure,  But the income of the wicked  earned through wrong means,   brings ruin.  Brings  disaster.  God sometimes blesses the righteous with great riches, as he did for Abraham.   However,  Solomon in his Proverbs indicates,  that   if they have  but   little, it is better than the riches of many wicked; because they have,   what they have with a blessing, and they are content with it: and they have abundance of spiritual treasure; they have God for their portion; Christ, and all good things along with him; the rich graces of the Spirit; a rich experience of the grace of God. But in the revenues of the wicked there is much  trouble. Firstly  they have much trouble in getting their riches, by which they  face  a lot  of  troubles. They even go to jail  or will be suspended from their service.  They will be compelled to  go  through many sorrows.  Secondly  they    have much trouble in   preserving   the  wealth that was earned by wrong means.  They  cannot rest nor sleep because of their abundance, lest it should be taken away from them; and they have much trouble in parting with them, when they are, by one providence or another, stripped of them; and, besides, they have them with a curse, and are ever attended with uneasiness, on one account or another.

“A truly just and merciful man is very rich, whether he has  little or much, because he is well contented, and what he has is likely to continue in his family: but there is much disquiet and trouble in the greatest revenues of the wicked; which can neither stay long with him, nor give him satisfaction while he enjoys them.” Secret sins, services, and sorrows, are under God’s eye,  all  the time.   The Bible says, “The wealth of worldly men increases their fears and suspicions, adds strength to their passions, and renders the fear of death more distressing. The Righteous use knowledge aright,  but the heart of the foolish fails  to disperse what is bad. The wicked put other  things  first,   instead of God. They do not  consider  the praying graces are His gift, and the work of his Spirit, with which He is well pleased. From this we understand that  he who  hates correction,  shall perish in his sins, since he would not be able to part from them.

I wish to tell  those of you,  reading this message, that God is righteous and loves righteousness.  He expects everyone to be true and honest in his earnings. You should be true to your work. Never bribe anyone for wrong  task  that you undertake. Remember God is watching you all the time. It is dangerous to fall in the hands of God.  The Bible says, God tests the hearts and mind. He knows your thoughts and your desires. He observes your intentions. If you are faithful in little things, You will receive the blessing of God, and He will lift you to next level in life. If you practice cheating, forgery and misuse of your power and authority, then God will be displeased with you and you might have to bear the brunt  of it. Therefore be careful to fear God in everything you do. Learn to be content with what you have. Then God will surround you with His favour and you shall reap the fruit of happiness, and satisfaction.  God Bless you.

Prayer:  Our Loving Heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Lord we thank you for telling us through this message how we ought to be,   with regarding to our income.  We praise You for correcting us and teaching us the right way. Help us to be honest and faithful in our work. Never  to cheat anyone, or take bribe from   others.  May we learn to have fear for God and His word.

 In Jesus  Name We Pray.

Amen.
