Arise and Shine - Bro. T. Stephen

Dearly Beloved, I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord.  The blessed word that God has given for you today is from the book of  Isaiah 60:2. “But the Lord will arise over you. And His Glory will be seen upon You.”

From the above   context we learn that when the Glory of the Lord descends upon a person, then even if you are in the dark you will begin to shine. You   will   arise and shine.   Until yesterday, you have been saying, “I have been of no use to anybody. What is the use of living in this world?   There is no meaning in my life.”  I see in my spirit, that many of you reading this message are in a confused state of mind. You are so broken hearted   and   dejected   in life.  But the Lord is saying there is meaning in your life.  Your   life   is   going to be of great benefit to others. Therefore you need to live.  Looking   at   your   current situation never come to a conclusion that your life is useless.

God will help you to shine in the days to come. Then you will be like a city situated on the hill top. Because when the glory of the Lord will shine upon you, before others, all will behold, the glory of God, then you shall be lifted up. For every one shall be  able to see the city that is set upon a hill top, which cannot be hid from the human eye. We may not be able to see someone, who is fallen in a deep pit, because it may be surrounded by high walls, or compounds. But when one is set on a hill top, you can easily be noticed, by everyone. May be until this day you had been a hidden agenda. You may have not been known by others. But in the future, you will be placed in an elevated position.

God has made an account of all your good works, that you had done unnoticed by others,  and in the appointed time, God will exalt you,   and honour you, before others. Joseph was a slave in the house of Potiphar.  He was imprisoned in the jail for no fault of his. While in custody, both the baker and the butler had   dreams. And  they turned to Joseph for interpretation. The butler was told by Joseph that his dream portends his release. The baker, on the other hand, was told of his execution by hanging in three days time.  Though he interpreted the dreams of the baker and the   butler, they had forgotten the good deed he had done for them. But a day came and the life of Joseph changed totally. And Joseph was thirty years old when he stood before Pharaoh   king of Egypt. Since he interpreted the dream of Pharaoh, he  was  honoured. Pharaoh took his signet ring from his finger and put it on Joseph’s finger. He dressed him in robes of fine linen and put a gold chain around his neck.  He made   him ride in a chariot as his second-in-command, and people shouted before him, “Make way  !” Thus he put him in charge of the whole land of Egypt.  This is how God exalts a person who fears the Lord God and waits upon God sincerely.

So never think your life is a waste. God can set you upon the hill for everyone to see and you shall shine, when the Glory   of God, descends over you.  All you need to do is to wait upon the Lord. The Bible says, “But those who wait on the Lord, shall renew their strength, They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary. They shall walk and not faint.”  People would have all forgotten your good works that you had done for them, out of sincerity. But God is not unrighteous to forget your good works. God will silently keep watching, you and all of a sudden while you are unaware God will lift you up.  Hallelujah!  God is committed to honour your good works.  God Bless you.

Prayer:  Our loving heavenly Father, we   thank   You for this blessed day.  Let   the Glory of God descend upon us. And   help us to shine in our lives. Help   us to wait upon the Lord and never murmur about the conditions of our life. Teach us to believe that God will someday exalt us if we wait upon Him. Bless us,   Oh  Lord that we may excel in our lives.

In Jesus name we pray.

Amen
