An Enclosed Garden – God’s Protection for Women - Bro. T. Stephen

Beloved children of God in Christ, I greet you all in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. I am delighted to meet you through this Auspicious word on this March 8th. May God bless you.

As we all know, today the world is celebrating International Women’s Day. Therefore, in the name of Jesus, I greet and bless all the sisters in your homes. It may be your sister, mother, younger sister, or mother-in-law. Whoever it may be, on this Women’s Day I greet and bless them.

The Bible teaches us to give them the respect they deserve. When you honour the women in your home—your sisters, mother, or mother-in-law—the Lord will bless you even more.

Let us look at today’s Mangala Vaarthai from Song of Solomon 4:12: “A garden enclosed is my sister, my spouse; a spring shut up, a fountain sealed.”

Today the Lord looks at all the sisters and says, “You are an enclosed garden.” This means that no evil or work of the devil will destroy you. Just as a gardener encloses a garden with a fence so that insects or animals cannot enter and destroy it, in the same way the Lord is placing a protective fence around you.

Today the Lord is protecting you and your daughters like an enclosed garden. He is placing a fence around your body and also around your workplaces and business places.

Secondly, it says “a spring shut up.” This means there is a fence around your soul, so that the devil cannot destroy your soul or cause any spiritual loss. It represents a spiritual protection that God places around you.

Thirdly, “a fountain sealed” refers to your spirit. This means that no one can destroy your spirit, because the Lord protects it by surrounding it with the Holy Spirit. In this way, the Lord protects your body, soul, and spirit.

Not only that, the Lord will also protect your possessions and worldly blessings. He will help you succeed and become achievers in life.

My beloved children of God, in earlier times women were not given much respect. Many had to remain in the kitchen and were not allowed to study in schools or colleges. But now things have changed. By the grace of God, women are given opportunities and positions equal to men.

There was a time when women were treated almost like servants in their own homes. When the men of the house returned home, women had to bring water for them or even wash their feet. Sometimes when the father sat down, the daughter or wife had to remain standing. Such customs existed in those days.

But today many of these things have changed. The Lord has given women dignity and rights. At the same time, dear sisters, do not misuse these rights, but use them wisely and beautifully. Then the Lord will make you achievers.

Today we see women holding great positions. Even our nation’s President is a woman. In the same way, you too should rise to great positions and accomplish many achievements. As a servant of God, I bless the sisters in your homes. The Lord will surely do great things.

Testimony
Praise be to God. A sister shared that during a time of deep struggle she had pawned her thali chain and went to Dubai on a tourist visa to search for a nursing job. Her visa was going to expire in two months.

Before the visa expired, she sent an email asking for prayer that she might receive a nursing job. After prayer, a Mangala Vaarthai was sent to her saying: “Even before you prayed, the command has been sent from heaven. Your request has been heard, and a job is waiting for you.”

Exactly as spoken, before her visa expired she received a nursing job with a higher salary than she expected. The Lord blessed her wonderfully.

Just as the Lord performed a miracle for His beloved daughter Subha, this Women’s Day the Lord will also do a miracle for you.

Prayer

Loving Lord, we thank You. In the name of Jesus I bless these children. Lord, look upon every woman and sister and every family. Make them like an enclosed garden, a spring shut up, and a fountain sealed. Protect and safeguard them. Lord, give them a bright future. Restore the faith that has become weak within them. Help them to achieve many great things in their lives.

Lord, some sisters are heartbroken and say, “I cannot do anything.” Look upon them and stretch out Your helping hand. Lift them up and glorify them.

At the right time, Lord, lift up those who humble themselves under Your mighty hand.

Touch each one of them. Turn their weaknesses into strengths. Remove every confusion from their minds and give them clarity.

Thank You, Lord, for blessing them.
