Beloved children of God in Christ, I greet and bless you all in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. I am delighted to meet you all this September 18th through this Auspicious word. May God bless you.
What is the Auspicious word the Lord has for us today? Matthew 5:14 says, “A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden.”
A city on a hill cannot be covered or hidden because it is situated in an elevated place. Today, the Lord is saying that your family, ministry, and business will be like a city on a hill. They will be known and recognised by everyone.
There is a verse in the Bible that says your children will be known among the nations. This means that there may have been a time when people did not know who you were or who your children were. But henceforth, because of the achievements they accomplish, they will come into the spotlight, and the Lord will make them known. No one will be able to say, “We do not know them.” In this way, the Lord will perform a miracle in your life.
If you look at my own life, when I was doing business, only a few people knew about my Stephen Cars business. But the Lord blessed that business, promoted it, and made it like a city on a hill. As the days went by, more and more people came to know about it. The Lord made that business like a city on a hill.
Even today, if you say, “Brother Stephen is coming to my church meeting,” people may ask, “Is he the Stephen from Stephen Cars?” See how the Lord made my business like a city on a hill, so much so that people even identify me through it.
But now, in many places, people ask, “Is it GLM Brother Stephen?” Some ask, “Is it APO Brother Stephen?” Others ask, “Is it Mangala Vaarthai Brother Stephen?”
Once, I went to a village for ministry. I had to walk through a paddy field to pray for an elderly person who was suffering from a serious illness. I stopped the car on the main road and walked along a narrow path through the field to reach the house.
I wore my shoes and walked along the path with the pastor of that church. As I was walking through the field, many elderly people saw me and said, “That is the Mangala Vaarthai preacher passing by.”
I went into the house, prayed for the elderly person, and finished the ministry. When I came back outside, I saw a group of people waiting for me.
See, today, this Mangala Vaarthai program has become a signature program, and it is like a city on a hill. Many people identify me through this program.
Why am I saying this? When you do something with dedication, commitment, desire, and honesty, the Lord will also make you like a city on a hill. When you shine from that place, it will be marvellous in the eyes of everyone.
Today, in your business, workplace, and ministry, may the Lord give you such glory. I bless you all. May miracles happen in your lives.
Testimony
Praise be to God! I prayed that the Lord would fulfil all my prayer requests. I participated in the GLM Shaemam Fasting Meeting in Chennai. At the end of the meeting, I asked Dr. Bavya Deril Stephen to pray for my granddaughter to pass her 10th grade, for my ancestral property to be sold, for my debt problem to come to an end, and for my son to get a job.
I wrote all these prayer requests on the prayer request form, handed it to her, and asked her to pray. Sister earnestly prayed and said, ‘Your prayers have been heard. The Lord has answered your prayers.’ She prophetically said these words and blessed me.
After that prayer, the Lord has been doing miracles continuously. My granddaughter scored good marks and passed her 10th grade. The Lord helped me sell my ancestral property and repay my debts. The Lord also helped my son get a good job in the real estate field. The Lord answered all the prayer requests I had given.”
Prayer
Loving Lord, we thank You. According to Your Word, “A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden.”
Lord, let every child not remain hidden. Like a city set on a hill, may their families be lifted up and recognised. May their businesses, ministries, workplaces, and everything they do be established in high places and be blessed.
Let their lives shine before others, and may Your name be glorified through them. I bless them wholeheartedly. May this Auspicious word be fulfilled in their lives from this very moment.
