Blessings of Caleb

Dearly beloved in Christ, I greet and bless you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. The blessed word that the Lord had given for you today is from the book of Joshua 14:9, “And Moses swore on that day, saying, surely the land whereon thy feet have trodden shall be your inheritance, and your children’s forever, because you have wholly followed the Lord my God”.

God saw the affliction of His people in Egypt, and heard their cry by reason of their taskmasters. So He came down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians. Exodus 3:8 says, “I have come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians and to bring them up from that land to a good and large land, to a land flowing with milk and honey.

God chose Moses to lead the people of Israel from the land of Egypt to the land of Canaan. From the land of slavery to the land flowing with milk and honey. When they reached Kadesh Barnea, Moses selected one man from each of the 12 tribes to go and explore the promised land of Canaan.

Only Joshua and Caleb amongst the 12 spies , brought good report while the others brought fearful news and made the heart of the people to melt with fear. They failed to understand the power of God who brought them out of Egypt performing supernatural miracles . Among six lakh people who followed Moses in the wilderness , it was Joshua and Caleb who whole heartedly followed the Lord.

Caleb was moving along under the leadership of Moses. Then Moses said to Caleb, “Surely the land whereon your feet have trodden shall be your inheritance, and your children’s forever, because you have wholly followed the Lord my God“. Caleb was a unique person. He was a man with a different spirit.

Moses who promised Caleb actually died before he could enter the land of Canaan. But the word of God that was spoken by Moses entered through Caleb into the land of Canaan. The word of God does not return without performing its purpose for which it was sent.

Joshua 14:13 says, “And Joshua blessed him and gave Hebron to Caleb as an inheritance as Moses had promised him”. If you whole heartedly follow the Lord, and keep his commandments, the Lord will bless you as He blessed Caleb.

Prayer :
Dear Lord, bless my children as you had blessed Caleb. Give them the heart to fear your word and whole heartedly follow you and your precepts. Give them the different spirit that Caleb had, to speak positively and follow the Lord even during difficult times. Give them the desires of their heart. In Jesus name we ask. Amen.

God will bless you

Dearly beloved in Christ, I greet and bless you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. The blessed word that the Lord had given for you today is from the book of Psalm 115:13, “The Lord will bless them that fear the Lord both small and great”. Our Lord wants to bless you and to attain this blessing we should be blameless before God. Joshua 3:5 says, “Sanctify yourselves: for tomorrow the Lord will do wonders among you”.

In the most basic meaning of the word “holy,” “sanctify” “means to separate from the world and to consecrate or dedicate to God. So, if something is sanctified or holy, it is separated from the world and dedicated to God. 1 Thessalonians 4:7 says “For God did not call us to be impure, but to live a holy life.”God expects sanctification in our lives. He wants a change in us.

In the Bible we read about Abraham. God appeared to him and said, “I am God Almighty; walk before Me, and be blameless. I will establish My covenant between Me and you.”

God changed the name of Abram and called him Abraham. God also changed the name of Abraham’s wife from Sarai to Sarah. He not only changed their names but also He expected a change in their character.

Abraham was upright before God. God blessed Abraham and Sarah to be the father and mother of nations. God blessed Abraham with a son for which he was longing for until he was hundred years of age.  He was rewarded. God blessed Abraham. He will bless you also if you walk blameless before god.

God bless you.

Prayer:

Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Lord help my children to be blameless before God. Sanctify them Lord. Remove their old nature and revive them. Help them to walk in the ways of God. Whoever is born of God, does not sin. Therefore, keep them away from all sin and earthly desire. Remove all their weakness that prevents them from being Godly. Father, may they glorify your holy name. In Jesus name we pray,

Amen.

Prayer changes things

Dearly beloved brothers and sisters in Christ, I greet and bless you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. The blessed word that the Lord had given for you today is from the book of 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18, ”Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you”.

When we go through tribulation the only tool that will help us to overcome our battle is Prayer. In the Bible we read in James 5:16 “The effective and fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much”.

Likewise King Hezekiah prayed and God heard his cry and extended the years of his life. Isaiah 38:5 says, “I have heard your prayer, I have seen your tears, I will add to your days, fifteen years”.

Once a Couple visited me to pray for their son’s life. They were actually quarrelling between themselves over their son. They had invested a huge amount for the business that their son was doing. Crores of rupees were given to him but he could not run the business successfully. He had borrowed money to run the business and thus his debt increased. Their son had come to a point where he could not repay to the people who had lent him.

He had approached his father for help. But he was not in a position to help. Then the son approached his mother and she interceded with his father to help him. The mother insisted to sell their house to help their son. The father was moved by her wife’s love for their son and decided to sell the house. It was at this time of struggle that they approached me for counselling. All that they had was only a house as their property.

I was moved with compassion for this family and pleaded unto God. I asked the Lord “Is it necessary for them to sell this house to clear their debt?  Lord even without selling the house you can help them to clear their debts. It is an easy thing for you”. The Lord replied me saying, they need not sell their house. Meanwhile their son wrote to his friend in the US regarding his down fall in business and about his debts. He told his friend that he wishes to work abroad and requested his friend to look out for a job. His friend was the recruiting officer in his company. To his surprise he got a job in the US with a salary of Rs.3,50,000/-.

This was a real miracle to them. The son went abroad and worked and sent his salary to his father regularly   to pay back the dues he had to pay month on month.  Father started repaying the debtors. In the meanwhile those who lent him money said that he was a good person and had paid the interest correctly and therefore they said that he need not pay the interest anymore but only return the principal amount.

When God descends, such miracles will happen. To obtain such miracles, you need to pray. Prayer breaks all the barriers and obstacles in your life. Prayer changes things in life. Even today, you might also be stuck in such a problem with debts over your head. God is telling you not to lose hope. Just pray and ask God to open a new way. He will open a way and lead you through it successfully.

God bless you.

Prayer:

Our loving heavenly Father, we thank you for this blessed day. I thank You for answering the prayers of Your children and restoring all that they lost in life. I thank you for breaking all the barriers and liberating them from all problems. May You help them to pray without ceasing. Open new ways for them to clear their debts and lead a peaceful life. In Jesus name we pray,

Amen.

Jehovah, God of Covenant

Dearly beloved brothers and sisters in Christ, I greet and bless you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. The blessed word that the Lord has given for you today is from the book of  Genesis 17:1-2, “When Abram was ninety-nine years old, the Lord appeared to him and said, “I am God Almighty; walk before me faithfully and be blameless.  Then I will make my covenant between me and you and will greatly increase your numbers.” Abraham was a righteous and blameless man. He loved the Lord. He was called the friend of God and was known as the ‘father of faith’.

The Lord had promised Abraham that He would make him a great nation. So, Abraham patiently waited for God to bless him with an inheritance. He was seventy five years of age when God had promised him. Years passed by. He reached the age of ninety nine. God suddenly descended to meet and speak to him. That was when God fulfilled His promise.

Abraham and Sarah were broken in heart as they did not have the gift of a child. Sarah had passed the age of conceiving a child. Abraham never murmured about it. But they were distressed as they did not have a child to carry on their generation. Both of them were too old to raise a child. Sarah’s womb was closed. There was no chance to deliver a child.  When every hope was lost, God descended to meet Abraham. The reason was that God does not tempt anyone beyond their capacity.

1 Corinthians 10:13 “No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear” Abraham waited for ninety nine years patiently. He had great faith that God who made a covenant will keep his covenant. God honours those who wait on Him patiently. According to His promise, God blessed Abraham with a child and he held the child in his arms at the age of 100.  He called the child Isaac, as God had told him. As Abraham was blameless before God and was righteous in all his ways, the Lord blessed Abraham in an exceedingly. Isaac was the chosen inheritance of Abraham. God fulfilled the covenant that He made with Abraham and changed their sorrow into joy.

Are there long waited promises to be fulfilled in your life? You might have waited for many years and would have lost hope now. My dearly beloved, I encourage you to stand firm in faith. Faith can move mountains. There is nothing that the Lord cannot do. He has an appointed time for the fulfillment of every covenant. Just wait patiently like Abraham. The Lord will do mighty miracles in your life.

God bless you.

Prayer:

Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. You know the promises that You have made to Your dear children. I pray that You may fulfil the covenant that You have made with Your dear children in due time. You are their only hope. Father, may Your children be glad all the days of their lives. In Jesus name we pray,

Amen.

Walk By Faith

Dearly beloved brothers and sisters in Christ, I greet and bless you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. The blessed word that the Lord has given for you today is from the book of Hebrews 11:1, “Faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things unseen”. Everyone will have to go through trials and tribulations in this world. During the time of struggle, you need to have faith and a strong prayer life.

The bible says that Job was a man of faith. Job said “I have lost my wealth, my cattle and above all my children, and my flesh stinks and has become rotten, even though he slays me, I will keep trusting in Him.” His faith was unshakeable. You need to have this kind of faith. It is this faith that will lead you to a bright future. Are you worried that you are not married yet? It is this faith that will lead you to conduct your marriage. It is this faith that will open your womb that had been closed for several years and it is this faith that will lead you to reach a glorious height. Faith enables you to secure a job and will help you to close all your debts. Have faith in God. Jesus sacrificed Himself on the cross for your wellbeing.

Job lived by faith. He knew that he should walk by faith and not by sight. That is why he was able to say, “The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away.” He had immense faith in God. Therefore God turned his sorrow into joy. The Lord blessed the latter days, of Job more than his beginning.

Similarly, just like Job, you must also develop this faith on God. Even if you go through the toughest situations, do not lose your faith in God. You might be put to test. Whatever be the situation, stand firm in your faith in God. The Lord will do mighty wonders.

God bless you.

 Prayer:

Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Lord, there are times when Your children go through a lot of problems and lose faith in You. I pray that You may increase their faith in you. Father, I thank you for instilling the spirit of faith in Your dear children. May they walk by faith and not by sight every day of their lives. In Jesus Name we pray,

Amen.
