My Dear Brothers and Sisters, I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you today, is from the book of Matthew 16:26, For what profit, is it to a man if he gains the whole world and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?”
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, from the above context we understand that, for people who are only seeking their profit will find themselves most sadly mistaken for of what advantage will it be to such a man. Some possess all that is precious, valuable and all power, pleasures and riches. Like Alexander the great, conqueror and king Solomon who possessed great wealth. In the above passage Jesus is trying to explain the relative values of our physical lives and what we can humanly accomplish to what awaits us after life. What profit has a man from all his labour in which he toils under the sun? One generation passes away, and another generation comes, but the earth abides forever.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, the Bible says, Man who is born of woman is of few days, and full of trouble. He comes forth like a flower and fades away. He flees like a shadow and does not continue. The days of our lives are seventy years and if by reason of strength they are eighty years. Yet their boast is only labour and sorrow for it is soon cut off and we fly away. All flesh is grass and all its loveliness is like the flower of the field. The grass withers, the flower fades, because the breath of the Lord blows upon it. Surely the people are grass. The grass withers the flower fades, but the word of our God stands for ever.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, The physical life we would live now is like a bowl of lentils, compared to eternal life. It is nothing more than a vapour, a breath a shadow. The passing pleasures, and cares of the world, will only gratify and satisfy the immediate desires. If our only interest is the immediate gratification that the world has to offer, then we would be like Easu who despised his birthright for a bowl of stew. Paul tells Timothy that Godliness with contentment is great gain and that instead of possessions we should be pursuing righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, and gentleness. The inevitable result of doing this will be wonderful blessings and eternal life. Jesus describes about how an individual had a hunger to gain the world and all it could give him. But because he could not control that hunger he lost his eternal life. My Dear Brothers and Sisters, What is your choice? Are you running after this world that is destined to perish or, do you run for the prize of the upward calling of God. Think wisely and live a qualitative life. May God help you to run the race of the Christian life to win the prize. To receive the crown of life, which the Lord has promised to those who love Him.
Prayer:
Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Thank you for showing us that we need to run the race set before us carefully. Teach us not to set our mind on the things of this world but to set our mind on things above. Help us to seek the kingdom of God, and His righteousness. May we long after salvation and eternal life rather than the things of this world. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you today, is from the book of Joshua, 1:5, “No man shall be able to stand before you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses So I will be with you. I will not leave you nor forsake you. Be strong and of good courage, for to this people, you shall divide as an inheritance the land which I swore to their fathers to give them.”
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, From the above context we understand that Moses the elect leader of the people of Israel, who went up to mount Nebo to the top of Pisgah looked over the promised land, of Israel and died at the age of 120 in Moab. He did not enter the land of Canaan. As a result all the people were distressed and troubled in their heart over the death of their leader who had brought them up to the borders of Jordan. Now there was doubt, fear, and anxiety in the minds and hearts of the people of Israel. They wondered as to who would lead them further into the land of Canaan. And it was at that time when God appointed Joshua as the next leader to lead the people of Israel into the land of Canaan.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, when Joshua was elected as the next leader of Israel, he was troubled in his heart, as to what he was going to do in future with the people of Israel, and how he was going to lead them into the land of Canaan. So God called Joshua, and assured him that He was there with him and asked him not to be troubled. He tells Joshua, ’No man shall be able to stand before you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses So I will be with you. I will not leave you nor forsake you. Be strong and of good courage. ”God actually encouraged Joshua, to carry out his mission. After Elijah God chose Elisha, Apostle Paul prepared Timothy to carry on his discipleship. The death of ministers, apostles and preachers cannot arrest the task of the Lord. God Himself appointed new leaders as soon as the former leader had completed his task.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, Some of you like Job, who have lost everything in life, are reading this message. May be you are disturbed in your heart as to what God has in store for you. Well it is only in such trying period, that you tend to draw close to God. Both Job’s wife and his friends criticised Job for his righteousness and asked him to curse God and die. But Job never sinned against God by his mouth. Therefore God blessed the latter part of his life. Only when you go through a great loss in your life, God changes your sorrow into joy. God immediately changed the sorrow of the people of Israel into joy by electing a new leader Joshua, to take care of them in the wilderness. God tells Joshua, Be strong and of good courage, do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you, wherever you go.
Similarly God is encouraging you today that He will lead you safe in the land of the living. He will instruct you with His eyes and lead you beside the still waters. Though you walk through the way of darkness, He will lead you with His rod and staff, So be cheerful in the Lord. Hold on to Him, then he will turn your sorrow into joy.
Prayer:
Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Lord we are thankful to you for appointing new leaders the moment the former leader completes his task. Thank you Lord for your care and concern regarding the people of Israel. You not only led them to the land flowing with milk and honey but also made Joshua to distribute the land as an inheritance which God had sworn to their fathers. Lord bless us similarly as you blessed the Israelites. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
Dearly beloved brothers and sisters in Christ, I greet and bless you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. The blessed word that the Lord has given for you today is from the book of Mark 10:47- 49, “When he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to shout, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!”Many rebuked him and told him to be quiet, but he shouted all the more, “Son of David, have mercy on me!” Jesus stopped and said, “Call him.” So they called to the blind man, “Cheer up! On your feet! He’s calling you.”
Today, I would like to introduce to you a person who respects and helps the beggars and the poor people whom others make fun of. He is my Lord Jesus Christ. He is willing to bless all the people of this Earth. Lord Jesus came to this Earth to help humanity. He came to do good things for them. Have a close relationship with Him. You will be able to taste and see that He is good.
2000 years back, Jesus was going to a place for His ministry. On His way, He saw a blind man who was begging. He had to stretch his hands for money just to fill his stomach. Many people humiliated him. Just to fill His stomach, he tolerated every humiliation. He tried all possible medication for his eyesight but was not healed. At that time, some people told about Jesus to this blind man. They said that he could taste the Lord for he was doing good things for all the people. If only he could get an opportunity to see Jesus, then he would be healed from his sickness. At that time, he heard that Jesus was passing through that way. He was crying out saying, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy upon me.” The people told him to be quiet. But he called out to Jesus even louder. Jesus heard and stood there as He respected his voice. Jesus stood still and called for him. So they called to the blind man, “Cheer up! On your feet! He’s calling you.” “What do you want me to do for you?” Jesus asked him. The blind man said, “Rabbi, I want to see.” “Go,” said Jesus, “your faith has healed you.” Immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus along the road.
My dear children of God, do not lose this opportunity that the Lord has given for you to taste who Jesus is. Jesus is asking you, “What would you want me to do for you! What is it that you want to accomplish through me!” The Lord is telling, “All that you have asked in my name has been granted to you. Be at peace.” Jesus respects each and every move of your heart. He hears every cry of your heart. He is a God who gives answers to your prayers.
Today, the Lord is breaking all your bondage. He is giving you all that you desired for. You do not have to stretch your hands before any human. Jesus says that He will be your provider in all ways. Go with faith for you will see the glory of God.
God bless you.
Prayer:
Our loving heavenly father, we thank You for this blessed day. I submit my dear children into Your hands of protection. Lord, You have said that You will be their provider. They will not have to stretch forth their hands to any human for help. Lord, I pray that You may help Your dear children in all their difficulties and bring a breakthrough in their lives. Be with them and bless them In Jesus name we pray,
Amen.
Dearly beloved brothers and sisters in Christ, I greet and bless you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. The blessed word that the Lord has given us today is from the book of Ezekiel 36:11, “I will increase the number of people and animals living on you, and they will be fruitful and become numerous. I will settle people on you as in the past and will make you prosper more than before. Then you will know that I am the Lord”.
The first blessing the Lord gave to Adam and Eve was to multiply and fill the Earth. God had placed the blessing of multiplication for His people from the beginning of creation. It is the will of God that people should not stay at the same level, but move to different levels. It is the will of God that His people should multiply in everything.
God does not want to see you shrink in life. He wants to multiply you. Some of you may say that, your family members are waiting to suppress you and not allow you to excel in life. When you stumble in life, God will encourage you and make you to come up amidst the struggles. He is going to make you victorious in all that you do. Even today you might have backslid in your business, or even got de-promoted at your workplace; the Lord is going to put an end to all your problems. God is determined to change your situations and make you multiply. You will start witnessing a day-to-day improvement in your life.
Today is the day of multiplication. If you want to be multiplied day-by-day in the worldly things, you must edify yourself spiritually. When you edify yourself, you will experience the multiplication. It is not the will of God for you to be stuck but to multiply. When you increase your time of prayer, you will see the blessings of God in your life. God bless you.
Prayer:
Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. I pray that You may bless Your dear children in all that they do. Father, may You multiply the works of their hand. Give them an increase in all that they do. Lord, make them the head and not the tail. Give them the courage and strength to accomplish the works of their hands. In Jesus name we pray,
Amen.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you today is from the book of Proverbs 22:29, “Do you see a man who excels in his work? He will stand before kings. He will stand before unknown men. ”
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, from the above context we learn that when a man works hard he honours God in what he is doing. But there is also another way to honour God, in your work. The man who becomes skilled in what he does is to the glory of God. Skilled means — to be well versed. – to show extra ordinary expertise in some area. Ezra was such an expert in the Word of God. The Messiah is also referred to as an expert in righteousness. These two cases have to do with the things of God. Two men who were blessed with such skill and helped in building, the tabernacle of Moses were Bezalel , and Oholiab. God had gifted them in all kinds of metal and embroidery work. They were skilled with jewels, and with building the glorious things that God required for the tabernacle. They were gifted by God himself, in constructing the tabernacle.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, their skill developed over years of hard work and they worked for God Almighty. Being skilled at something requires work and focus. God desires for us to work hard, God mentions the excellence of those who worshipped Him, like Chenniniah, and Asaph. There were even men who served God with excellence doing things we might never notice such as Obed Edom, who was known for his care for the Ark of the Covenant. When a man has developed skill and excellence such a person will serve before kings and important officials. He will not serve or stand before ordinary men. It is a reminder that time and again men and women have distinguished themselves by being the very best at what they do. That is the way to true success in business or in some skilled profession. By this we will be known for our willingness to serve with skill and excellence for the glory of God.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, How does God estimate your work? Are you working with the desire to please God at your work place. Are you making an effort, to walk an extra mile, for God by your dedicated work? Think about it seriously. If you have not made an effort, then make a new beginning. Then you will become an expert, and serve before kings, and important officials. And not stand before mean men. God Bless you.
Prayer:
Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Lord we thank you for telling us how important it is to work hard and sincerely for the glory of God. We also thank you for many men of God who worshiped Him and served God in truth and spirit. Teach us to be skilled workers for God. Help us also to serve the Lord with fear and trembling. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
