My Dear Brothers and Sisters, I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you today is from the book of Genesis 21:19 “Then God opened her eyes and she saw a well of water. So she went and filled the skin with water and gave the boy a drink. “
My dear Brothers and Sisters, from the above context we see how God provided water to the lad who was crying for water. If Hagar and Ishmael had cooperated in Abraham’s family they might have continued there. But it so happened they were compelled to leave. As a result they were brought to distress, in the wilderness. We do not know if their provisions were spent, or that Abraham sent them away without money. But the water in the skin was spent. And having lost their way, in that hot climate, Ishmael was soon overcome with fatigue, and thirst.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, God by His immense power could open mountains in the midst of the valleys, and can make the wilderness a pool of water. Knowing the agony of Hagar and hearing the cry of the lad, God opened her eyes, and she saw a well of water. Hagar was not really blind for God to open her eyes. Rather her eyes must have swelled with weeping and crying that she failed to see the spring of water just before her. The moment her eyes were opened she ran to fetch the water and gave the water to the lad, and his thirst was quenched and he was refreshed and he recovered from fainting. He was restored to health again.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters , God’s readiness to help us when we are in trouble, are sometimes not noticed by us at times for lack of understanding. Immediately the angel directs Hagar to the spring of water. God sends His angels as a flame of fire to assist his children. For He hears the cry of the afflicted. Though there was a spring of water, Hagar was not aware of it. Unless and until God opened her eyes to see the spring of water. Thus we see that the Lord was concerned about the lad, for God had designed a greater purpose for him. Often we too fail to recognize the comfort or remedy that is available to us by God.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters are you experiencing such severe and harsh situation, like Hagar in the wilderness. Well, God knows your affliction, he will carry you through in the midst of all struggles and problems. Cast your burden upon the Lord and He will sustain you, for He cares for you. In the same manner God will meet all your needs. God says, “For I will pour water upon him that is thirsty.”
God bless you.
Prayer:
Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Thank You for hearing the cry of the afflicted and providing water for the lad who was dying of thirst. Just as You opened the eyes of Hagar open our eyes that we may see Your good works. And your provision of remedy for us. Teach us to cry out to You in times of trouble. Revive us Oh Lord.
In Jesus name we pray.
Amen.
My dear Brothers and sisters in Christ, I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given you for today is from the book of Proverbs: 3:24 , “When you lie down, you will not be afraid, Yes you will lie down and your sleep will be sweet.”
My dear Brothers and Sisters, from the above passage we come to understand that King Solomon told his son, to keep sound wisdom and discretion knowing that they give many benefits to men. When you lie down on your bed at night in order to take sleep then commit yourself into the hands of a faithful creator, and Covenant God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Redeemer and wisdom of God. Then you shall not be afraid, of thieves breaking in to hurt you, or rob you of the prosperity. You shall not be terrified with uneasy imaginations, anxious cares and distressing dreams while you are asleep. For He that keeps Israel, and every true born Israelite, neither slumbers nor sleeps. Since you have committed yourself and taken shelter under the shadow, of His wings.
The psalmist says, For You alone O Lord make me dwell in safety. For the Bible says, the sleep of a labouring man is sweet, whether he eats little or much. When we walk according to the ways of God and not allow the words of Christ to depart from us. Then your life and all that belongs to you shall be under the protection of His grace. Yes, you shall lie down. And you need not to sit up to keep guard, instead you shall sleep and not keep awake due to fear. Yes, Your sleep shall be sweet. Refreshing to thee and not being disturbed by any alarms.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, For the Lord shall be your confidence and shall keep your foot from falling. Hallelujah! Some of you are suffering from sorrowful sleep. Due to sorrowful sleep you dampen your bed with tears. You must be weeping all the time in the night hours due to the problems you face in your daily life. Hereafter God will give you sweet sleep. He will deliver you from all your problems. No evil spirit can take hold of you if you surrender your life to God. He knows all your problems even before you could tell them. God will give you peace and rest to your eyes if Gods presence abides with you. When you commit your ways unto the Lord then you will sleep in peace and live in safety.
God bless you.
Prayer:
Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Lord thank You for assuring us with sound and sweet sleep. Help us not to be afraid or be worried over the things that trouble us during the day. May we trust in the Lord who neither sleeps nor slumbers and who remains as our confidence. In Jesus name we pray.
Amen.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you today is from the book of 1 Peter 1:4 , ” To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled and that does not fade away, reserved in heaven for you. Who are kept by the power of God, through faith for salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.’’
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, From the above verse we come to know through Peter that we are born again to a living hope. we are also born again to an inheritance. Because in Christ we have become heirs of god’s endless fortunes. Paul says that we have received the spirit of adoption, and that we cry Abba father. It is this spirit that makes us the heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ himself.
Our Lord Jesus Christ swallowed death victoriously and rose again from the dead. He has kept an imperishable crown for us. A crown of glory is awaiting us. A precious and pure crown that does not fade away. Every child is born from heaven and is formed in the womb with his hidden treasure. Such a child having completed his days on the earth and when a day comes, he closes his eyes forever. God awaits with an unfading crown in heaven to receive him. And we have become eligible for the crown because of the death of the Lord Jesus Christ on the cruel cross of Calvary. He was buried and on the third day He rose again victoriously. By this act of Jesus Christ we have the access to enter in to His glory to receive the unfading crown.
Paul while writing to Peter in His epistle says, we have a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. We need to receive the crown of glory and live as a new creation. For the bible says, if anyone is in Christ He is a new creation old things have passed away behold all things have become new. We need to put on the garment of resurrection, a garment of victory, a garment of anointing. The power of His resurrection will fall upon each one of you from this day onwards.
You will see the power of His resurrection at your work place. you will witness the power of His resurrection in your business centre, you will witness a great power of His resurrection in your ministry. Your life should not be based on the perishable things on the earth, but you must consider the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, So you need to set your mind on the things above and not on things on the earth. May the risen Lord reign in your hearts now and forever. God bless you.
Prayer: Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Lord we thank you for Your death on the Cross whereby we are saved. We also thank You because you are a Resurrected God and this is the authority that God has given to every one of us. Let the power of resurrection fall upon each and every one who believes in You Lord.
In Jesus name we pray.
Amen.
Dearly beloved brothers and sisters in Christ, I greet and bless you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. The blessed word that the Lord has given us today is from the book of Hosea 12:4, “He struggled with the angel and overcame him; he wept and begged for His favor. He found him at Bethel and talked with him there”. BETHEL was the place where God met Jacob and spoke to him. The Lord who met Jacob, is going to meet you today through His word. Jesus is looking at each of you individually. He is examining each of your needs and is speaking to you right now.
Jacob was the one, who received the blessings of his parents and without any capital, he decided to begin his life. When there came a time he had to earn, his parents called him and blessed him whole heartedly. They sent him to his uncles’ place and told him to work there. His parents submitted him into the hands of God. As he obeyed the words of his parents and went, God blessed Jacob with a step-by-step increment in his salary for ten times. Later, he got an opportunity to partner with his uncle as a working partner. His boss was his uncle but his capital was his hard work. God blessed Jacob several times.
After many years, when Jacob returned home, his heart was full of fear. Jacob and his brother had a fight and that was why he left home. Jacob feared that, the enmity his brother had against him might bring danger to him and his family. That night, Jacob battled with the Lord in prayer and asked His favor and blessings. The Lord blessed Jacob and everything went well.
Likewise, God expects the same kind of prayer life from you. Many of you reading this might be crying that, you are not able to be prosperous in life. Today, The Lord will bless you and make you to prosper. Believe it and receive it. Share all your problems with Jesus and He will open a way for you.
God bless you.
Prayer:
Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. I pray that You may bless Your dear children. Father, teach them to share their problems with You so that You will be able to give them a solution. Give them Your blessings today Lord. Enable them to experience the sweet communion with You. In Jesus name we pray,
Amen.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you on this Good Friday is from the book of Isaiah 53:5 “ But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities. The chastisement for our peace was upon Him. And by His stripes we are healed.”
From the above context we learn that Jesus was wounded for our transgressions. The Bible says, For He made Him who knew no sin, to be sin for us that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. When he was hated, he did not hate back in return; when he suffered, he did not threaten, but continued entrusting himself to him who judges justly. Jesus did not die on the cross, for any sins of His own, but for our sins. For our rebellious nature against God. These were the procuring and meritorious causes of His sufferings and death. His sufferings and especially His being wounded to death and by bearing the sins of His people He removed the guilt, from them, and freed them from the punishment due unto them.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, Jesus was bruised for our iniquities. To be bruised, is to be broken to pieces, completely. Or to be crushed. Jesus was crushed to the core for the sins of all mankind. The chastisement for our peace was upon Him. “’The chastisement for our peace’’ means, the chastisement by which our peace is effected or secured was laid upon Him. He took it upon Himself and bore it in order that we might have peace.
With His stripes –indicates the mark or scars, on the skin or body of Jesus are described through different words such as wounds, stripes, weal, bruises, hurt, blueness etc. These scars, would be caused because of being beaten or scourged and this was applicable to Jesus. Isaiah predicted seven hundred years before, that Jesus would be scourged. This prediction furnishes the fullest demonstration that the prophet was inspired by the Holy Ghost. He has mentioned as if he had seen, what was going to happen to Jesus.
That is why He says, ’By His Stripes we are healed’. We are healed –by this we mean that By His death on the cross, healing has happened to us. The healing referred to is the spiritual healing or healing from sin, pardon from sin and restoration to the favour of God. The Bible therefore says, “Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases.”The idea is that the Messiah would be scourged and by that scourging health would be imparted to our souls.
We see that the sufferings of Jesus the Redeemer, on behalf of all mankind, is adapted to save the world. And will in fact arrest, reclaim, and redeem, all who shall enter into heaven. Are you prepared for the eternal life? Then receive Jesus as your personal Saviour, a good friend, a shepherd, a comforter, a King and so on. He died for you that You might reign with Him forever. Will you receive Him as you are. God bless you.
Prayer: Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Lord we know that we have healing through your stripes. You took the pain and relieved us from all stress and strain. By your death we have life eternal. While we were yet sinners You died for us. You humbled yourself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross. Help us to be faithful to the very end, to live a life for Jesus alone.
In Jesus name we pray.
Amen.
