My Dear Brothers and Sisters, I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you today is from the book of Matthew 7:11, ” If you then being evil know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more shall your father which in heaven give good things to them that ask him?”
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, from the above context we do understand, that in the midst of all our evil, there is still that element of natural and pure affection. Which makes the father hood of men a fit parable of the Fatherhood of God. As all mankind in general, are both by nature and practice, they are conceived in sin, shapen in iniquity, are evil from their youth, they are corrupt and do abominable things. But the Bible says, even such people know how to give good gifts, to their children. They give their best to their children though it costs them much.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, When these evil parents can afford to give good gifts to their children, how much more shall your Father who is omniscient and omnipotent knows your need and will bless you with His choicest blessings.
The Bible says, God gives all good things to them that ask him. The context shows that the “good things” are spiritual gifts. The wisdom, and insight which we all need or rather the one gift of the holy spirit. Not only temporal gifts, as meat, drink and clothing but all spiritual good things, every supply of grace, all things, pertaining, to life and godliness. Spiritual gifts include grace, everything that is necessary for the spiritual and eternal good of his people. But to receive these gifts one must inquire of and seek after, and ask God for them. For every one who asks receives, the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks the door will be opened.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, God expects us to ask him when we are in need. He says, “Until now you have asked nothing in My name. Ask and you will receive that your joy may be complete.” He further urges us to ask by saying, “Whatever you ask in My name, This I will do. That the Father may be glorified in the son. If you ask Me anything in My name, I will do it.” Also we need to believe that if we ask God in prayer, we will receive it and it will be granted to us. May the Lord help you to ask Him when you are in need. David in his Psalms says, “To You all flesh will come, For you hear prayer.” God bless you.
Prayer: Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. We thank you because you hear our prayer. Teach us to ask you when we are in need of help. Thank you for the gifts that you have bestowed upon us, both spiritual and temporal. Though we are sinful in nature, yet you consider us and guide us in the way we should go. Bless us Lord , with Your Divine Spirit that we live in tune with God.
In Jesus name we pray.
Amen.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you today, is from the book of Isaiah 54: 11-12, “O you afflicted one Tossed with tempest and not comforted, Behold I will lay your stones with colourful gems. And lay your foundations with Sapphires. I will make your pinnacles of Rubies your gates of Crystal. And all your walls of precious”
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, the above words speak about Jerusalem. For the mountains shall depart and the hills be removed. But my kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall the covenant of My peace be removed says the Lord who has mercy on Jerusalem. These verses promise us that God will transform our tempest into His treasure. He will give us beauty for ashes. He will rebuild our broken walls. He promises that our ruins will be rebuilt. Our desolations raised up. And our ruined cities repaired. He also promises to fill our empty places. These verses demonstrate that Jesus Christ Himself will be our foundation and our walls, for He is the chief corner stone. He promises to restore our broken places such that we radiate His glory and beauty. He uses everything, precious and valuable to build us according to His will. In fact He uses His very own self to be sacrificed for us.My Dear Brothers and Sisters, The above passage actually speaks about the abandoned state of Hebrew nation. For they were in exile for nearly seventy years, in Babylon. The people then, were far away from comforts, which they had enjoyed in their own land and they were apparently forsaken by God. They were afflicted and tossed with tempest. God asked them to return back to their land. And promised to make them exceedingly beautiful and pure, stable and glorious. The above verses expresses the beauty, purity, strength, magnificence and solidity. The passage describes the New Jerusalem in the same oriental, manner. For Jerusalem shall be built with sapphires, and emeralds and precious stones. And the streets of Jerusalem shall be paved with beryl and stones of Ophir. God tells Jerusalem, “I will make thee exceedingly beautiful and glorious, by a plentiful effusion of excellent gifts and graces.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, God said, about His people, “For a brief moment I had forgotten you, But with great compassion I will gather you.” God was very particular about the establishment of the new Jerusalem, While describing the New Jerusalem most men do not, view Gods church in such magnificently entity colours. But this is God’s view. For the church is the most beautiful, sublime, glorious and magnificent entity upon the planet earth. Hence the external beauty of the kingdom of God is described in the above verses. Yahweh had promised protection for the Hebrew nation and had assured them of his favour. He not only defended his people, but also wanted his church to rise with great beauty. May the Lord reveal the importance of church and also the power of God in expressing the revelation of the new Jerusalem.
Prayer:
Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day, Lord help us to know more about the New Jerusalem. To learn about the greatness of the church and be involved in it. Lord teach us to realize how difficult it must have been for the Hebrews to be in exile and also to be thankful to God who delivered them and blessed them with a land flowing with milk and honey. And that You will make our pinnacles of Rubies and our gates of Crystal. Thank You Lord for Your goodness and mercy extended to the people of God. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you today, is from the book of Psalms 33:9, “For He spoke, and it was done. He commanded and it stood fast.””My Dear Brothers and Sisters, from the above passage we realize the power and force with which the Lord spoke His word. And when He spoke it was done. God says, My word that goes forth from My mouth, it shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please. And it shall prosper in the thing for which it was sent. For the word of God is quick and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. And God who cannot lie, promised His word before the world began. The Bible says, In the beginning was the word and the word was God. Jesus Christ Himself, is the word of God. For the word of God is alive and active. We must sincerely and simply believe, that What God has spoken is true. For “’Your word is a lamp to my feet And A light to my path”.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, One should understand that man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God. Because God is the very author of speech. In fact He is continually speaking His word. Through His word He is activating His will and revealing His son allowing us to know Him and make Him known. Everything exists by the spoken word of God. By His voice He continually makes His will known to everything and everyone. Through the first chapter of Genesis God is set on bringing, forth creation. He desires it, He speaks it and it comes into existence. God said, “Let there be light, and there was light.”Then God said, “Let us make man in our image.”’ So God created man in His own image. It was God’s will to give us life. The Bible says, that God knew us before we were and He spoke us into being. His spoken word gives us physical life, and establishes the purpose for our lives. The Bible records the magnificence of the voice of the Lord. It says, The Lord thundered from heaven, And the most high uttered his voice. The voice of the Lord is upon many waters. The God of glory thunders. The voice of the Lord is powerful. The voice of the Lord is full of majesty. The voice of the Lord breaks the cedars. Yes, the voice of the Lord breaks the cedars. The voice of the lord divides the flames of fire. The voice of the Lord shakes the wilderness. The voice of the Lord strips the forest. And in His temple every one speaks of his glory.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, thus we see that there is power in the word of God. The Bible says, “Heaven and Earth will pass away but My words shall not pass away.” God says, I send My word and heal My people. Behold I am the Lord, the God of all flesh. Is there anything too hard for Me ? Jeremiah says, “Thy Word was unto me the joy, and rejoicing of Mine heart.” John Says “’You are clean through the word which I have spoken to you.”Paul says, “And the word of God increased.” May the word of God increase in you richly, cleanse you from all worldly thoughts and may it be the joy and rejoicing of your heart. God bless you.
Prayer:
Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Lord I pray that I would heed to Your word and cleanse my way. Revive me according to your word. Help me not to forget Your Word. Make me understand the way of the Your Precepts. For I shall mediate on Your wonderful works. Teach me to trust in Your Word. Give me understanding to learn Your Commandments. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you today is from the book of Psalms 37:18-19, “The Lord knows the days, of the upright. And their inheritance shall be forever. They shall not be ashamed in the evil times. And in the days of famine they shall be satisfied.”
My dear Brothers and Sisters, It is destined for man born in this world, to pass through three stages of his life. The period of harvest, the problematic period, and the summer season or period of prosperity. While a person is going through a glorious period of harvest, he is likely to face at times certain problems too. But while crossing through a period of trial, God comforts His children by saying, When you pass through the waters, I will be with you. And through the rivers they shall not overflow, you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned. Nor shall the flame scorch you. For I am the Lord your God. The Holy one of Israel.
The summer season begins after the autumn. So is the life of a man. After he faces problems or trials then he goes through a period of prosperity. The above context refers to the Psalm where David, explains the contrast nature of the upright, and the unrighteous. He says that the Lord knows the days, of the upright. His foreknowledge made him laugh at the proud; but in the case of the upright he sees a brighter future. This is our comfort, always, that all events that take place in our life are known to God. And nothing in our future can take him unawares. No arrow can pierce us by accident; no danger can smite us by stealth, neither in time nor eternity can any unforeseen ill occur to us.
The futurity of a person trusting God shall be a continual development of the good things, which the Lord has laid up in store for him/her. And their inheritance shall be forever. They shall not be ashamed in the evil time. Calamities will come but deliverance will come also. The righteous will never be disappointed. They will cast their burden upon the Lord. For God is not a friend in the sunshine only. He is a friend indeed and a friend in need. And in the days of famine they shall be satisfied.
David says, the righteous have that which is better than wealth, peace of mind, peace with God, and peace in God. Not one days work shall go unrewarded. Their days on earth are numbered but their heavenly happiness shall be forever. So my dear Brothers and Sisters, do not lose hope in God. Trust Him at all times. He will perfect all things in due time.
God bless you.
Prayer:
Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Lord we thank you for encouraging us through thy word that You will fulfill all things perfectly in our life, in its time. We give you all the glory and praise. Lord you protect the righteous when he goes through troubles and rescues him from all danger and harm. Lord continue to help us as we pass through various stages of life. In Sorrow and in joy. Lord strengthen us each day of our life. In Jesus name we pray.
Amen.
Dearly Beloved Brothers and Sisters, I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you today, is from the book of Proverbs 10:22, “The Blessing of the Lord makes one rich, And He adds no sorrow with it.”
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, when God blesses a man, to be rich, He also gives him contentment, peace, and happiness which amount to a double blessing. But when the blessed God of heaven gives riches He does not include any sorrow along with the riches. For riches without the blessings of God brings only trouble with them. Speaking in general, Riches are from the Lord. And should be acknowledged, as such. And not attributed to the industry, diligence, sagacity but should be considered as the blessing of the Lord, upon the labours of men. In a spiritual sense it is the blessing, goodwill, and favour, of God that makes men rich in Christ. It bestows upon them his unsearchable riches that enriches them with all spiritual blessing in Him that makes them rich in faith and in good works and with the riches of grace and of glory.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, “It adds no sorrow with it.” By this we mean that no sorrow, goes along with the blessing. Riches enjoyed through the blessing of God are not added with sorrow. Either in getting, keeping, or losing them. As the riches of wicked men that are unlawfully gotten. But the good man without any anxious care, and sinful nature seeks the kingdom of God and His righteousness. Then all these things are added to him. And so it is with great delight, pleasure and cheerfulness he enjoys them while the wicked man is full of anxiety, distress and sorrow.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, This is eminently, true of spiritual riches, there is no sorrow added to them, the fruit and effect of them are peace, joy and comfort. We are taught how to value men. Not by their wealth but by their virtue. Good men may not be rich they may not have power and riches to do good. Yet as long as they speak out their mind, they make them themselves valuable and useful, we must honour those that fear the Lord. Because out of the good treasure of their heart, they bring forth good things. On the other hand, the wicked busy themselves up sometimes in their wickedness, with their vain hopes, which will deceive them. At times they are haunted with fears. And those fears will come upon them. Wicked men fear the punishment of sin. So the thing they feared comes upon them. Whereas for the righteous, it is true, sometimes have their fears, but their desire is towards the favour of God, and a happiness in Him, and that desire shall be granted.
So My Dear Brothers and Sisters, it depends on you as to how you make your choice. To obtain the blessing of the Lord that causes no sorrow or to obtain wealth and riches through sinful ways that is short lived and perishes in the long run. The Bible says, For God gives to a man that is good in His sight wisdom, knowledge, and joy, but to a wicked he gives travail, and sorrow in great abundance that they may give to him that is good before God. Because they are wholly dependent on God. May God help you to be blessed with all heavenly riches.
Prayer:
Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Lord thank you for showing us the way to get riches from God because Wealth and Riches and honour come from God. He has the power and might to make one great. So Lord teach us to look up to God for all our need and depend upon Him completely that He might exalt us in due time to be rich and wealthy and thus acquire the blessings of God.
In Jesus name we pray.
Amen.
