Fellowship of God

My Dear Brothers and Sisters, I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you today is from the book of Daniel 10:10-11, “A hand touched me and set me trembling on my hands and knees. He said, Daniel, you are highly esteemed.”

My Dear Brothers and Sisters, from the above context we understand that the hand that touched Daniel was softer and more like that of a human one. Most probably the hand of the Angel Gabriel in human form had touched him. And this caused Daniel to tremble on his hands and knees. The Angel said, “Daniel you are highly esteemed.” And when Daniel heard this, He stood up trembling. Though Daniel was not so greatly disturbed and terrified, yet he could not forbear trembling at the appearance of this angel. The Angels are employed as God’s ministering servants. The Angel said, O Daniel a man greatly beloved –a most desirable man, lovely to God and men. We hence understand through Daniel’s character that the Lord molds and models us as clay in His hands to receive His impressions.

My Dear Brothers and Sisters, actually we are not fit for any great thing till we are abased and yet when we are vilest in our eyes, we are most precious in God’s sight. Similarly, when God spoke to prophet Habakkuk his body trembled. His lips quivered. At the voice, rottenness entered his bones. And he trembled within himself. This happens when we enter into communion with God. Trembling before God indicates a distance between us and the holy God. How shall we that are dust and ashes speak to the Lord of glory? Nothing is more befitting than to be assured of God’s love for us. We need to look toward God in a way of duty and then God is ready to meet us in the way of mercy. God is thus ready to hear prayer.

My Dear Brothers and Sisters, Daniel a noble Jewish youth of Jerusalem was taken into captivity by Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon. Yet, he was true to the God of Israel.   Therefore God honored him by answering his prayer. He sent his angel to touch and assure him of God’s response to his request. His life was characterized by faith, prayer, courage, consistency, and lack of compromise. He was considered as “Greatly Beloved of God”. As a result, God gave Daniel and his friends’ knowledge, skill in all literature, and wisdom. Daniel had understanding in all visions and dreams.

My Dear Brothers and Sisters, Have you ever had this kind of experience in your prayer life?  If you are a child of God who spends more time in prayer, God would not only reveal Himself to you but assure you of answering your prayer request. Daniel   says while I was speaking in prayer, the angel Gabriel came up to me and said, “ I have now come forth to give the skill to understand.” Thus God will send his angel to answer you while you are still speaking. The Bible says, “Before they call I will answer, and while they are yet speaking I will hear.”

 Prayer:

Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Dear Lord helps us to be like Daniel a man of prayer who trembled in the presence of God. Teach us to spend more time with God in prayer.  Not to care for the things of this earth but to be spiritually oriented. Bless us like Daniel with wisdom and knowledge and may we be like Daniel a man of faith, who was considered Greatly Beloved. In Jesus’s name, we pray.

Amen.

Your Word Gives Me Life

My Dear Brothers and Sisters, I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you today is from the book of, Psalms 119:92, “Unless your law had been My delight I would then have perished in my affliction. I will never forget Your precepts. For by them You have given me life.

My Dear Brothers and Sisters, from the above context we understand that the psalmist would have perished in his affliction if he had not been comforted by God’s word. Yes, dear children of God when sorrows increase in your life, when anguish increases in your life, you will have to hold on to the word of God in order to sustain life. Surely these words have power to take form. When the Lord gave good word to Mary the word came to life. When the Lord gave good word to Manoah and his wife, the word came to life. He is a God who speaks by His mouth and performs by his hands. God has given us His word, The Bible” to comfort us in times of tribulation.

My Dear Brothers and Sisters, That word which has preserved the heavens and the earth, also preserves the people of God in their time of trial. Gods word is a delight to us. This takes a double delight when all other delights are taken away from us. We should have died in our grief if the spiritual comforts of God’s word had not uplifted us. But because of their sustaining influence we have been able to bear all the depressions and despairs which naturally grow out of severe affliction. David thus speaks of his distressful condition he was in, when he was persecuted by Saul and he was compelled to hide himself, in the rocks and caves of the earth.

My Dear Brothers and Sisters, It is very likely that he had the book of Gods law with him, by the reading of which he mitigated and allayed his sorrows and kept himself pure instead of indulging in worldly superstitions. The word of God is a precious medicine to keep Gods people from perishing in times of affliction. This even upheld Jacob from sinking when his brother Easu came against him furiously to destroy him. He actually reminded God about His word, saying, I will surely do thee good.As a result the promise of God supported him.

My Dear Brothers and Sisters, similarly the word of God will surely support you in times of affliction. Make God’s word as a lamp to your feet, And a light to your path. May God help you to see the many wondrous things from the word of God. Like David, put all your hope in the ordinances of God and keep his law continually. For he knew the life giving energy of the word in his own soul. Delight in Gods word and He will give you the desires of your heart. For the Bible says, blessed is the man who delights in the law of the Lord. He will be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth fruit in its season.

God bless you.

Prayer:

Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Lord we thank for your precious word. It comforts us at times of trials. May we delight in the word of God and be blessed. Help us to give priority to the word of God in our lives. Teach us to keep your testimonies and not forget your word. May we hear the word and obey it too. In Jesus name we pray.

Amen.

Joy in Tribulation

My Dear Brothers and Sisters, I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you today, is from the book of James 1:2 , “Count it all joy when you fall into various trials.”

My Dear Brothers and Sisters, from the above context we come to understand that the Lord wanted His disciples to count it all joy when they go through trials. As the Lord was about to leave them and suffer persecution he encouraged the disciples to stand fast in the faith. He knew that they would be like scattered sheep without the shepherd once He leaves them. The disciples actually loved Jesus and they couldn’t bear to know that soon He was going to depart from them. He also told them that there would be tribulation and sufferings once he departs from them.

My Dear Brothers and Sisters, Similarly the Lord is speaking to you through this message that there will be problems, trials and temptation in this world. But the Lord encourages you by saying that one should count it joy when you fall into various trials in your life. For God is telling you today that there will not be a single person who will not go through affliction. And nobody will be able to say, that there is no problem in their life. They may be eminent industrialist, popular politician, or Chief Minister, Prime Minister, or President, whoever they might be, they will have some problem or other.

My Dear Brothers and Sisters, Do you know why you go through trials? If not you will have no fear whatsoever. You will do what you like, and will live however you may please. Therefore in order to keep a check over your life the Lord allows trials and testing that you may turn to God for help. Cry out to Him whenever you go through hardships. God is interested that you hope in His mercy. For He will neither leave you nor forget you. He holds you in the palm of His hand. Your walls are ever before Him.

My Dear Brothers and Sisters, You may lack some kind of blessing, that is due unto you if you live a displeasing life before God. Some may go through financial crisis, while some may not go through money problem but they will have some other kind of problem. Some may suffer from some sickness. So don’t ever think that only you are suffering, because everyone is suffering in one way or other. Even Jesus when He lived on this earth faced many troubles. Though He went about doing good He experienced a lot of troubles through others.

Hence Jesus says, For if they do these things for the green tree what will be done for the dry? This indicates that in this world you will have problems but be strong and brave in the Lord to overcome all the trials. May God cause His face to shine upon you and strengthen you with power, wisdom and knowledge to walk worthy of God’s calling.

Prayer:

Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Help us to be careful in our walk of life. May we be pleasing in Your sight. Teach us to fear You at all times. Give us the ability to bear the affliction cheerfully, and to count it joy when we go through trials. Help us to stand fast in the faith, be strong and bold for God and His purpose. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

Be Strong

My Dear Brothers and Sisters,  I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you today, is from the book of John 16:33,  “These things I have spoken to you that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But be of good cheer. I have overcome the world. ”

My Dear Brothers and Sisters, from the above context we come to understand that this is the conclusion of our Lord’s sermon to His disciples. Just before he was going to depart from them He cautioned his disciples about his persecutions and afflictions, and that they should endure for His sake and the blessings both of grace and glory they should enjoy. He told them that once He departs from them they would go through much tribulation. And went on to say, that there would not be permanent peace that could be enjoyed in this world. And He confirmed   that they could obtain real peace only through Him.

My Dear Brothers and Sisters, God, encourages us that we will have tribulation in this world but we should be of good cheer because our God has overcome the world. Therefore He assures us that He will be with us while we go through tribulations. He will give us the power and strength to overcome the problems of this world. While Jesus lived in this world, He always went about with His disciples. But the time came when Jesus tells the disciples about his departure.  He loved His disciples the most but now he was about to leave them to be crucified by the Roman soldiers. Before going He cautions them about his death, burial and resurrection. So He warns them not to be discouraged after He leaves them but to be bold and of good cheer. In case He had failed to tell them about all that He had to experience, then they would be in great despair and many questions and doubts would have risen in their minds. In order to avoid all this confusion Jesus told them about all that He had to go through.

My Dear brothers and Sisters, Now through this message God is speaking to you, as to how you need to manage your family. Before you could experience any untoward happenings, God wants to warn you, of the oncoming danger in order to make you strong.  God wants to give a revelation of the happenings in your family.  God is counseling you and comforting you to be strong and bold in the Lord to face the challenges of life in this world. Not to fear, or to lose hope, or to be discouraged but to be strong and courageous.  May the Lord help you to be strong in Him.

Prayer:

Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Lord we are thankful for cautioning us about the oncoming danger in our family. Help us to realize about the future happenings in our life. Teach us to be alert and watchful in all that we do. May we be strong and be of good courage and stand fast in our faith. In Jesus name we pray.

Amen.

You Are Gods Temple

My Dear Brothers and Sisters,  I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you today, is from the book of 1 Corinthians 3:17 “If anyone defiles the temple of God, God will destroy him. For the temple of God is holy, which temple you are.”

My Dear Brothers and Sisters, During the time when Jesus walked on the face of this earth there were many false teachers among the Corinthian church and they taught unholy doctrines. Such teachings led to corrupt, to pollute, and destroy the church. Which  should  be   kept pure and holy for God. By the wisdom of this world, through philosophy, and vain deceit, and by bringing in false doctrine corrupt, their minds, from the simplicity that is in Christ. And thus cause factions and divisions among them. Such people God will destroy as their wicked principles are pernicious to others.

My Dear Brothers and Sisters, Those who spread wrong doctrines which render the church of God unholy, bring destruction upon themselves. Therefore Christ through the Spirit of God   dwells  within  every  true believers. For Christians are holy by profession and should be pure and clean both in heart, and conversation. All false prophets as well as the devil will be thrown into the lake of fire. God is not pleased with those who go after false doctrine and false worship and of everything that is contrary to the gospel. The temple of God is holy, hence the temple of God is to be regarded as sacred as inviolable. And if anyone defiles the temple then they will be destroyed by God.

My Dear Brothers and Sisters, From the above context we understand that our   body is the temple of God.  Your body is the temple of God, and God dwells within you. God is holy and therefore cannot dwell in a place that is unclean. For God to dwell within you, you need to be pure and get rid of all your sinful nature. If you dwell in your sinful life, then you will be a blockade for your own blessing.  Repent and  ask the Lord to cleanse you from all your sinful nature. Keep your body and mind pure only  then  the Lord will dwell within you.

My Dear Brothers and Sisters, since you are the temple of God try to be holy, perfect, and righteous in all that you do. Seek good and not evil. Speak the things which are proper for sound doctrine.  Older men  be sober, reverent, temperate, sound in faith, in love,  in patience, Older women be reverent in behaviour, teachers of good things. God expects you to be hospitable, a lover of what is good, just, holy and self controlled.  The Lord be gracious and merciful and help you to live a life of dedication. God bless you.

Prayer:

Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Lord   help us to   love one another as God loved us. To forgive others and bear with one  another. Teach us to be careful and not follow wrong doctrine. Or go after false prophets and  false  teachings. Help us to maintain peace with  all men and be holy. Let us not forget to do good to others and share with others what we have.  Fill us with the wisdom that is from above, that is gentle, peaceable, willing to yield, full of mercy and of good fruits. In Jesus name we pray.

Amen.
