I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you today, is from the book of Psalms 10:12, 14 , “Arise O Lord, O God, lift up Your hand. Do not forget the humble. But You have seen, For you observe trouble and grief. To repay it by your hand. The helpless commits himself to You.”
From the above context we learn that the Psalmist calls upon God to arise and take vengeance against all those who came against him. He calls on God to remember those who were oppressed and wronged, by the wicked. He wants God to rescue the afflicted from their troubles. Though the humble may seem to be forgotten by God, they are not. They are precious in his sight. He dwells among them. He comforts them, when disconsolate; He feeds them when they are hungry. He teaches and guides them when they want direction. He does not forget the humble, poor and needy. We often wonder as to who then considers those who are rejected, who sigh because of their agony? It is none other than God who loves and cares for the poor. He lifts the poor out of their distress. He pours His love upon them immeasurably for He is the anchor of their hope. He says, “I am the father to the fatherless.”God stands as a Father to such kind of children and grants special grace for them.
Today you may lack in certain things. Do not be anxious. Just commit yourself unto the Lord. For the Bible says, “The helpless commit themselves to You and then You come down to deliver them. For, You observe their trouble and grief, and You are the helper of the Fatherless”. Surrender your life to God. Submit your children whose future is ruined. Submit such children in the mighty hands of the Lord. For He alone is our helper. He alone can help you and your children in times of distress and trouble. Heleluyah!
God, the Helper has come down, as the Holy Spirit to help each one of you, in whatever area, you are in need of. What happens when He begins to help you? He rescues you from the hands of the wicked.
Certain families go through a breach in the family because of misunderstanding. They live together for several years yet the pity is, they do not understand each other or they fail to understand one another. Parents don’t understand their children and children never make an effort to understand their parents. Today God is intervening into such families to repair the breach and rebuild their family. For the Lord says. I will set My eyes on them for good. I will build them and not pull them down. God bless you.
Prayer: Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Lord we thank You because You have set Your eyes on Your children who consider You as the anchor of their hope. Lord teach us to submit ourselves and our children at your feet. Create a peaceful atmosphere both in our work place and in our family. Deliver us from the hands of evil people. Cause Your face to shine upon us. We put our trust in You. Never put us to shame.
In Jesus name we pray.
Amen.
My beloved in Christ, I greet and bless you in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you today, is from the book of Psalms 9:18 “ For The needy shall not always be forgotten. The Expectation of the poor shall not perish forever.”
From the above context we come to understand that God never forgets the needy nor will the expectation of the poor perish forever. Let’s take a look at our family lives. As earthly parents, we can sometimes show partiality to our children. We may be more appreciative and encouraging of one of them over the other. But know that God is not so, He does not show any partiality to his children. He treats all alike, be it poor or rich, Red black or white all are the same in the presence of God. God is all the more concerned about the children who are looked over and those who are rejected by the society and considered not fit for anything. Hallelujah! God wants to give them the best. Our God is one who gives power to the weak and increases the strength to those who have no might.
Today dear reader, I encourage you to ensure that you take care of those children who are less intelligent and weak in their studies. They may be slow in grasping things or not very smart in appearance. Give more attention to such children in your family. Usually parents give more attention to brighter and smarter children. They give them special coaching, send them to special classes and spend more money and time with them rather than the weaker children. Give more attention to slow learners, help them in their studies and also encourage them saying that they can do all things through Christ who strengthens them. Never compare your bright son or daughter with the weaker child. Treat them alike. They need your love concern and comfort more than the brighter ones. God says, “ I have already blessed them with much wisdom and knowledge then why worry about them. For I came to seek that which was lost, the poor, the weak, the needy and the underprivileged, but what steps have you taken to build them up?”
God turns the rejected stone as the corner stone. Tell your children that Jesus himself came from a poor carpenter’s family. He knows the struggles you go through in life. He has gone before you, that he might experience the pain, sorrow and agony of your life. Even his birth was announced to the poor shepherds. God’s eyes directly falls upon those who are oppressed and whose future has been ruined. He wants to lift you up from the miry clay and set your feet upon a rock, and put a new song in your mouth that you might rejoice in Him all the days of your life.
Prayer: Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Lord we thank You because You are so concerned about the poor and needy. Lord teach us also to consider the poor. May we learn to help them in their need. We need your help Father, since we as humans are partial in certain ways. Equip us with this wisdom and deliver us as well.
In Jesus name we pray.
Amen.
My Dearly beloved in Christ I greet you in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you today is from the book of Psalms 12:5 “For the oppression of the poor, for the sighing of the needy, Now I will arise, says the Lord. I will set him in the safety for which he yearns.”
When we think about this verse, we often think about those who are financially poor or those who have been oppressed in society. But You can be poor because you are lacking in some aspect of your life and you are in need- be it sickness, not having a life partner, not being successful in a business and many more. These are all forms of poverty for us.
This psalm says that when the poor and needy are oppressed God himself takes notice. Today God has come in the midst of those of you who are reading this message to change your lamentation into joy and gladness. Heaven has recorded all your lamentations. God is aware of all your troubles. When one is immersed in grief and sorrow then they start lamenting. God says, He will rebuild the ruined lives of the poor who lament over their future. Someone whom you trusted much maybe the cause of your ruin. God is going to redeem you out of their hands.
Sometimes certain things may not happen the way you expected. So you may give a sigh of grief. You may have a small piece of ruined land, with which you might have planned to do something. You might have invested money on it but unfortunately you failed to receive any gain from it, then you may sigh with pain. Or your business did not pick up the way you thought it would be. Each time you see the ruined land or the business centre, then you give a sigh of grief. God keeps an account of all these “sighing of yours” and desires to take special care over this situation in your life and set right all these issues in your life. You might have approached several high officials to solve your problems. But they couldn’t get any solution to your problems. But God is the highest official and He is directly coming to deal with your problems. He will make that investment to prosper and that business to flourish. He knows that you are being oppressed by a group of wicked people. Maybe your enemies are screaming at you because of jealousy. God will snatch you out of the hands of those wretched people and protect you from them. He will settle your life peacefully. Hallelujah !
Prayer: Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Thank You Lord for hearing the sigh of the needy and for watching the oppression of the poor. Help us to overcome our bad times through prayer and fasting. Remind us that you are above everyone and above every situation. Save us from the hands of cruel and wicked people. Settle our life peacefully.
In Jesus name we pray.
Amen.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you today, is from the book of 2 Kings 20:5,6 “Return and tell Hezekiah the leader of My people, Thus says the Lord, the God of David, your father, “I have heard your prayer, I have seen your tears. Surely I will heal you. On the third day you shall go up to the house of the Lord. And I will add to your days, fifteen years. I will deliver you and this city from the hand of the king of Assyria, And I will defend this city for my own sake and for the sake of My servant David.”
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, from the above context we understand that God was mindful of king Hezekiah, who ruled Jerusalem for twenty nine years. From the above context we see how God helped Hezekiah while he was in his sickbed, at the verge of death. The Bible says, Hezekiah was sick unto death. So God warns him through prophet Isaiah to prepare himself for death. When he heard the news of his death, Hezekiah turned his face towards the wall and prayed to the Lord. This is what one must do when he is in trouble. Prayer is one of the best preparations for death because by it, we fetch in strength and grace, from God to enable us to finish well. He wept sorely. There was something peculiar in Hezekiah’s prayer. He said, “Remember now, O Lord, I pray how I have walked before you, in truth and with a loyal heart, and have done what is good in Your sight.”And Hezekiah wept bitterly.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, Hezekiah’s piety made his sick bed easy. Hezekiah does not pray asking God to spare him, but he cries out to the Lord to remember him. He says, “Lord remember me whether I live or die, let me be thine.” God always hears the prayers of the broken in heart and will give health and length of days, and temporal deliverances as much and as long as is truly good for them. Hezekiah’s recovery was miraculous.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, It is because of his faith in God, the shadow of the sun was carried back and the light was continued longer than usual, in a miraculous manner. This work of wonder shows the power of God in heaven, as well as on the earth, the great notice, He takes of prayer and the great favour, He bears to his chosen.
My dear Brothers and Sisters, As Hezekiah feared the Lord, and he did what was right in the sight of the Lord, according to all that his father David, had done. He removed the high places and broke the sacred pillars of foreign Gods. He cut down the wooden images and broke in pieces the bronze serpent that Moses had made. He trusted in the Lord, God of Israel. He held fast to the Lord. He did not depart from following Him. But kept His commandments which the Lord had commanded Moses. So the Lord was with him and he prospered wherever he went. God extended his years for another fifteen years and during this period, he was blessed with a son Manasseh to reign after him.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, Can you say confidently like Hezekiah that you have done all that is right in the sight of the Lord? Do you hold fast to the Lord? Or have you departed from following God? Do you keep his commandments and read the word of God regularly? If you do so the Lord will take pity on you and your family and extend the days of your life. May God bless you to be faithful like Hezekiah who reminded God of his good works during his reign in Jerusalem. God bless you.
Prayer: Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Lord we, thank you for being so kind to king Hezekiah and extending his life. Thank you for acknowledging his good deeds. Bless us also, Oh Lord, and remember us in our lowly state and extend peace in our hearts. Teach us not to depart from following you. And help us to keep Your commandments.
In Jesus name we pray.
Amen.
I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you today, is from the book of Luke 19:10, “For the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost.”
Jesus was on the way to Jericho, and there he healed a blind man. This was a proof that he was the Messiah. The incident with Zacchaeus happens in Jericho as Jesus was passing through. The healing of the blind man spread quickly so that the crowd began to gather as Jesus passed through the city of Jericho.
Those who sincerely desire a sight of Christ like Zacchaeus, will break through opposition and take pains to see Him. And Christ invited Himself to Zacchaeus house. Wherever Christ comes he opens the heart and inclines it to receive Him. He that has a mind to know Christ shall be known of Him. And those whom Christ calls must humble themselves and come down.
Zacchaeus gave proof publically that he had become a true convert. He does not look to be justified by his works like the Pharisee, but by his good works, he shows the sincerity of his faith and repentance. Zacchaeus is declared to be a happy man. He had turned from sin to God. Now that he is saved from his sins, from the guilt of them, from the power of them, he is entitled to receive all the benefits of Salvation. Christ had come to his house, and where Christ comes he brings salvation with Him.
Zacchaeus did not expect that he would be entertaining the Son Of God in his own house. As a rich important and chief tax collector he was an individual who was hated by the Jews and despised by the Romans. For they considered him to be a swindler or a thief. But Jesus did not ignore him or condemn him. He took time to come to him, to call him, and open up for him a new path of salvation. For Jesus had come to seek and to save that which was lost. No doubt God had been preparing the heart of this wealthy yet detested tax collector. For God is able to discern the motives of every man. And this meeting with Christ brought a sinner to repentance.
Have you received the salvation of God. If not seek Him and He will be found by you. If you reject Him then He will also reject you and it will be too late to be saved. Because salvation comes from God by grace through faith. And because you have not received salvation you would have incurred great loss in your life. God wants you to get back all that you have lost in your life. Make God the portion of your life. Say Lord “I am Yours and You are mine. Nothing shall separate me from the Love of God.” If you truly make this commitment, God will save you from the mouth of the grave, and the gate of hell shall not prevail you. God bless you.
Prayer: Our loving heavenly Father, we thank you for this blessed day. Heavenly Father thank you, that you came to seek and to save a lost sinner like me, and for the amazing love and grace you have bestowed upon me. Thank you for forgiving my sins, for bringing salvation into my heart and for making it Your dwelling place. Keep me humble and meek. May I be used for your glory in all that I say and do.
In Jesus name we pray.
Amen.
