My Dealy beloved in Christ, I greet and bless you in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you today, is from the book of Isaiah 58:8. “ Then your light shall break forth like the morning. Your healing shall spring forth speedily. And your righteousness shall go before you. The glory of the Lord shall be your rear guard.”
The above verse helps us to understand both temporal and spiritual prosperity. And that the glorious light of the gospel, will break forth very clearly and shine out in all the world. And the light of joy, peace and comfort will attend the hearts of the people of God. Just as the grass and herbs sprout and shoot out of the earth after a shower of rain you who read this message will bloom and flourish both in health and prosperity.
The Bible says, “And your righteousness shall go before you.” which means the reward of your good works will go before you. God who will reward you for your works of righteousness will go before you to promote your wellbeing. Those who do justly and love mercy shall have the comfort even in this world. Good works will always bring the blessing of God provided they are done from love to God, and man and wrought in the soul, by the Holy Spirit.
Ruth was considered to be a special character. She was a Moabite woman. Her mother in law Naomi, went with her husband and her two sons from Bethlehem to live in the country of Moab as there was famine in the land of Bethlehem. Her two sons got married to Moabite women. They lived there for ten years. But unfortunately her husband, Elimelech and her two sons namely Maglon and Chilion died there. So Naomi did not wish to continue in Moab but she wanted to return to Bethlehem. She asked her daughters in law to return back to their father’s house. She also advised them to get married and settle happily rather than live as widows. Orpah went to stay with her parents but Ruth refused to go back to her parent’s house. She said to her mother in law, “ Entreat me not to leave you. Or to turn back from following after you.” She knew that her mother in law would be left alone, so she decided to sacrifice her youth, for the sake of her mother in law and went with her to Bethlehem.
My dear Brothers and Sisters, Since she went with her mother in law to Bethlehem and was also concerned about her well being God blessed her. Naomi took special interest in the welfare of Ruth. She guided her how to meet her master Boaz and work under him. Later Boaz who was a very rich man proposed to marry her. Thus God rewarded Ruth who came to Bethlehem instead of returning to her father’s house. God honoured her and also blessed her with a son, Naomi was blessed with a grandson in her old age. Thus God gave them another chance to live a blessed life. God bloomed the young widow to live a happy married life and blessed her family life.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters if you do good and walk righteously before God then surely you will be rewarded. God says He will do you better than at your beginning. God further says, “Though your beginning was small, yet your latter end would increase.” He is a God, who picks those from the miry clay and sets them upon a rock. He raises the poor out of the dust, And lifts the needy out of the ash heap.
Prayer: Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Lord we thank You for rewarding us according to our performance. Help us to be faithful, to our loved ones. To be more concerned about them and do good to them. Teach us never to harm others, so that we may be blessed by God in return. Help us to be like Ruth, a woman with a difference.
In Jesus name we pray.
Amen.
My dear friend in Christ, I greet and bless you in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. I would like to speak to you today about how we need to be good in the eyes of God from whose hand we receive blessings. The blessed word that God has given for you today, is from the book of 1 Chronicles 29:12, “Both Riches and Honor come from You. In Your hand is power and might. In Your hand it is to make great. And to give strength to all.”
From the above context we learn that whatever we posses may not be owing to our merits, or because of our diligence, industry, and wise conduct but to the providence of God. For all things come from God. For exaltation comes neither from the east nor from the west, nor from the south. But God is the judge. He puts down one and exalts another. God has given riches and wealth and honour to man, so that his soul lacks nothing of all that he desires. But Remember the Lord your God gives you power to make wealth.
The Lord says, “I will give you the treasures of darkness, and hidden riches of secret places. For all things belong to God. “The Silver is Mine and the gold is Mine” says the Lord. What is done in works of piety and charity should be done willingly, not by constraint, for God loves a cheerful giver. When God instructed that Solomon should build the temple of God, David had great desire to contribute his share for the building up of the temple. He gave all from his own. David also advised the people to offer willingly towards the construction of the Temple. David himself offered his share of wealth, because he had set his affection to build the house of God.
Only God can give you such wisdom and riches. Only God can change an ordinary man, to a man of wisdom. And unless God makes a man rich he cannot become rich. Today you need to receive that God, who gives you riches and wisdom. He is the provider of all good gifts. God loves all people irrespective of caste creed or religion. You are simply God’s creation. Jesus himself increased in wisdom and stature and in favour with God and men. God wants you also to increase in wisdom and stature and in favour with God.
The Bible says, “ For God gives wisdom and knowledge and joy to a man who is good in His sight.” God wants to impart that wisdom to you today. He is looking at you, are you ready and good in his sight to receive these blessings?
Prayer: Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Lord we thank You for blessing us with wisdom and knowledge. Teach us to be pleasable in your sight, so that we may gain wisdom. Just as Jesus increased in wisdom and stature and in favour with God and men, help us to increase in wisdom and favour with God and men.
In Jesus name we pray.
Amen.
My beloved reader, I greet and bless you in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you today, is from the book of 1 Kings 10:23,24. “ So king Solomon surpassed all the kings, of the earth in riches and wisdom. Now all the earth sought the presence of Solomon to hear his wisdom, which God had put in his heart.
From the above context we understand that God made Solomon surpass all other kings of his times. And the other kings wondered about his extraordinary wisdom and often desired to visit him. In this way Solomon became the wealthiest king The Bible says, Solomon used vessels of gold for drinking. And he made a great throne of ivory. His merchant ships brought gold, silver, ivory, apes and monkeys.
Solomon offered a thousand burnt offerings. So God appeared to Solomon that night and asked him what he wanted. Solomon asked God. The Bible says, Instead of asking for wealth or treasure or fame, or the death of his enemies, or even for long life for himself, He had asked for wisdom, and knowledge so that he can rule over his people wisely.
God was pleased with the burnt offering of Solomon and his prayer and so blessed him with riches and wisdom. He made his kingdom very rich. He was so rich and filled with abundant wisdom that the queen of Sheba visited his palace to test his wisdom. She was overwhelmed to see the way he conducted himself. She had heard about the fame of Solomon, that he excelled in wisdom and therefore she approached him to know his wisdom, and learn from him. She had heard not only of the fame of Solomon, but she desired to know about the God who gave him such wisdom. God’s favor was upon him and he was able to shine amongst all the rulers at that time. The Bible says, “If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God who gives to all liberally and without reproach and it will be given to him.” Ask and you shall receive. God bless you.
Prayer: Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Lord we ask of you to give us both wisdom and riches, as you blessed king Solomon. Teach us to seek You , that You may be found. Help us not to withdraw ourselves from you and lose all glory and relationship with God.
In Jesus name we pray.
Amen.
My Dearly beloved in Christ, I greet and bless you in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you today is from the book of Psalms 34:6,7 “This poor man cried out and the Lord heard him. And saved him out of all his troubles. The angel of the Lord encamps all around those who fear Him. And delivers them.”
The Bible speaks of a blind man, who cried out to Jesus who was passing on the Jericho road. There was a crowd of people moving along with Jesus. When the blind man cried out, the people rebuked him to keep quiet. But he cried out all the more. “Jesus Son of David have mercy on me.” Hearing his cry Jesus stopped for a moment and asked the people to bring the blind man closer to Him. And when the blind man stood before Jesus, He asked him. “ What do you want me to do for you? ” The blind man said “Rabboni, that I may receive my sight.”Then Jesus said unto him, “Go your way, your faith has made you well.” And immediately he received his sight. Today the same Jesus is calling out to you and asking you , My dear son and daughter, “’what do you want me to do for you? When you cry out to Him he performs miracle for you.
Last July, while I was preaching in the “Anbarin Padathil Oru Naal prayer Meeting in Chennai. I asked the Lord to open the womb of those who do not have children and mentioned the word of God saying, “And whose belly You fill with Your hidden treasure. They are satisfied with children .”A couple in America were watching our program on live telecast from midnight to morning 5am. Both Seline and her husband, Bro Jebasingh, were crying together for the gift of a child. As they had no children for quite some time. God heard their cry and the very same month she conceived. She had sent us an email, telling us that keeping the word of God, she asked the Lord to be merciful to her and fill her belly with the hidden treasure. God heard her prayer and immediately caused her to become pregnant. This proves that God performs miracles to those who cry out to God.
Just as God heard the cry of Seline and delivered her miraculously from childlessness, similarly God will hear your cry and answer your prayers. If you approach God, He will rescue you. Be it during the midnight or in the midst of the deep sea. As soon as you call, Jesus will come to deliver you. So dear child of God, “Call Him and He will answer you.”
Prayer: Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Teach us to cry out to God, when we are in trouble. Help us to maintain a blessed relationship with God, so that our prayers will be answered. Let there be no hindrance to our prayers. Thank you Lord for teaching us to totally depend upon you. We give glory and honour to you.
In Jesus name we pray.
Amen.
I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you today, is from the book of Mark 10:47- 49, “..When he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth he began to cry out and say, “Jesus son of David, have mercy on me.” Then many warned him to be quiet, but he cried out all the more. “Son of David, have mercy on me.”So Jesus stood still and commanded him to be called. Then they called the blind man, saying to him be of good cheer. Rise He is calling you.”
Today we find people making fun of beggars and poor folks who roam about on the street so untidy and begging for food. Even the dogs go chasing and barking at them, because of their shabby state. But I would like to introduce a humble person called Jesus, who went about doing good to all who came in contact with Him. He was a God of mercy. He came to save those who were caught up in sin. To preach good tidings to the poor, to heal the broken hearted, and to proclaim liberty to the captives. He healed the sick, and those possessed with evil spirit, made the lame to walk and caused the blind to see. One such incident took place on the way to Jericho, while Jesus lived on this earth 2000 years ago.
Once, Jesus was walking on the streets of Jericho. A multitude of people followed him. There was a rush of noise all over the street because most of the people were excited to see Jesus. Those who come to Jesus must come to Him by faith. At that time people on the street informed Bartimeus that Jesus was passing by. He was anxious to meet Jesus for he believed that if only he met Jesus he would receive his sight.
Every day to fill his belly he would sit on the street and beg for alms with an out stretched arms. When he heard that Jesus was passing by, he was very anxious to meet him. He did not want to miss this opportunity. There was no one to help him or take him to Jesus. All were engaged with one thing or other. All were busy following Jesus. They anticipated that he would perform miracles. And so did Bartimeus the son of Timaeus begging on the roadside. He struggled himself in the crowd to meet Jesus. The best thing he could do was to cry out to Jesus. “He said, “Jesus son of David, have mercy on me.” But many warned him to be quiet but he cried out all the more. “Son Of David have mercy on me.”
Hearing the cry of the blind man Jesus stood still and commanded him to be called. So the people asked the blind man to rise up and go to Jesus. The moment he was called by Jesus He threw off his old garment and he rose and came up to him. Jesus asked him, “ What do you want me to do for you? ” Bartimeus replied “ Rabboni, I need to receive my sight.”Then Jesus said, Go your way, your faith has made you well.” Immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus on the road.
Jesus knew the heart of Bartimeus. He also knew that he needed sight, very badly. He was not interested in begging alms. He had no other way, so he sat begging. He wanted to earn his living by doing some work so he wanted sight. Jesus came to his aid and since he cried out in faith Jesus gave him sight instantly. His faith was honoured. For God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think of. For everyone who asks receives.
Prayer: Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Lord we thank You because You know our needs and answer our tearful prayers. When we cry, You listen to our cry. Lord you took pity on Bartimeus and gave him sight. Teach us to increase our faith in You. And cry out to You for help. May we realize your goodness and love You, for what You are.
In Jesus name we pray.
Amen.
