Dependence on God

I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you today is from the book of    Psalms 86: 14, 15, O God, the proud have risen against me,
And a mob of violent men have sought my life, And have not set You before them.15 But You, O Lord, are a God full of compassion, and gracious, Longsuffering and abundant in mercy and truth.

From the above context we understand that David wanted God to reveal, a token or sign that the God of Israel, was dealing with him, not for evil, but for good. That those who hate him might see   it.  He wanted to ensure that God was with him and against his enemies. David cries out to God, saying O God, the proud are risen against me. The enemies could not let God’s poor   servant alone. His walk with God was as smoke to their eyes and so they determined to destroy him.   Unitedly   the oppressors   sought the good man’s life; they hunted in packs, with keen scent and eager foot. David says, Lord those who do not fear God are not afraid to commit violent and cruel acts. So he says, “But thou O Lord Art a God, full of compassion, and plenteous in mercy and truth.” Thus we know that “Here is compassion for the weak, grace for the undeserving, longsuffering for the   provoking; mercy for the guilty and truth for the tired.”

In this context David says, “Many people had assembled to take away his life; people of his own family   and   strangers  too  were  in the list.  In this circumstance what he did was to say, that these people walked without their consciousness. If only they had conscious they will not chase me to hit me and to hurt me. They will not cause such pain and agony to me.” But You O Lord are a God who knows my problem and shows compassion to me.

David complained that it was his own father in law, King Saul, who took  David’s  wife Michal  and gave her to another man  Palti to be his wife  even though David did not make any mistake. David was pained at heart at the separation of his wife.  King Saul was greedy   of power and kingship.  So he did not want to give David, the kingship   even though he was anointed by prophet Samuel, to become the next king of Israel.  On the other hand King David’s own son Absalom also planned to kill David, his father to seize his kingdom and power from David’s hand.  Moreover   King Saul had gathered three thousand  brave soldiers to attack David who was hiding in the hill at Hakilah.  David was also attacked by the Philistines because he won the giant Goliath.  Thus David was surrounded by many enemies so he cries out to God, saying “O God the proud have risen against me and a mob of violent men have sought my life. And have not set   You before them.  But You O Lord are a God full of compassion and gracious, Longsuffering and abundant in mercy.”

Today many proud men would have risen against you, for various reason, within your family, at your work spot, In the ministry you work or in the college, there may be some rising against you. So in case   you are confronted with such type of people, then commit them to the Lord, and trust also in Him and He will bring it to pass. Commit such people in the hands of the Lord. And He will save you from their hands. David did not retaliate with his enemies or argue with them but proved that the battle was God’s and He will fight for him. He made God his confidence. Halleluiah!

My Dear Brothers and Sisters, David says, “Lord you are a God of compassion, You are a God who knows my heart, and there is no one besides you. Even my wife has gone away from me, with her father.” He was truly pained at heart. Therefore he submitted his life, to God asking God to take care of his life. And he complained about the people who did not set God before them.  And said that they had no conscience in seeking to hurt him or take his life. Therefore he asks God to show him a sign, for good that those who hate him may see it and be ashamed. For God has promised that he will not suffer the innocent to be oppressed but will always, at length succour them. Thus David confided in God, and encouraged himself in the Lord God of Israel.  May the Lord help you also to confide in the Lord   like David.

Prayer:  Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Lord we   thank   You   for   teaching us to confide in You O Master. May we  realise  how  great You  are  and  to commit our ways, unto You and  put our trust in you believing  that  You will  bring  it to pass.  Teach   us   to   walk wisely as David walked before  God. In spite of all the troubles be with us and help us to  be  victorious in our life.

In Jesus name we pray.

Amen.

You will be fruitful.

Dearly beloved brothers and sisters in Christ, I greet and bless you all in the name of our Lord and savior Jesus Christ. As I waited upon the Lord, the blessed word that the Lord gave me to bless you today is from the book of  Genesis 26:22 it says, “He moved away from there and dug another well,  So he named it Rehoboth, for he said, “At last the LORD has made room for us, and we will be fruitful in the land.

Isaac went to Gerar for his livelihood. There was no rain during that season. But God said to him “You sow seeds, in faith and I will let it grow”. The moment he dug the well, water sprang forth. But when people in that place had dug wells, they never got water. So the people fought with him. They then said that, the well belonged to them as he had dug it in their land.

During the process of digging the well, Isaac had to face many obstacles. Isaac did not give up. He moved on to another place and dug a well. Isaac knew that if one door closes, God would surely open another door and also knew that he would be blessed in that land.  He had to give up the well he dug, to the hands of the people who lived in that land and move on to another. The book of Genesis 26:22  says, He moved away from there and dug another well, and they did not quarrel over it” So he named it Rehoboth, for he said, “At last the LORD has made room for us, and we will be fruitful in the land. Rehoboth means God causes ‘Extensions and Expansions’.  God gave him extended blessings. God says, until you reach Rehoboth, you will have to face many obstacles. Only when there are obstacles, ‘Rehoboth’ will be created.

When you face any challenge in life, never give up. Do not lose heart. For you are made strong in your weakness.  If one door closes, God will surely open a new door. Our God is compassionate towards us.

God bless you.

Prayer:

Our Loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. I pray that You may give Your children the strength to reach Rehoboth, so that they may receive their blessings. Give them the courage to overcome all the obstacles they face. Strengthen them Lord. In Jesus Name we pray,

Amen.

God will rescue you.

I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you today is from the book of Isaiah 41:12, “Though you search for your enemies, you will not find them.   Those who wage war against you will be as nothing at all.”

From the above context we understand that our God will have compassion upon us and drive out all our enemies. God speaks with tenderness saying fear not, for I am with Thee, I will strengthen thee and help thee in the time of need. I will uphold thee with that righteous right hand which is full of righteousness, giving forth rewards to those who do good, and punishments to those who disobey God.

There are many people who strive against God’s people that seek their own hurt. God’s people should not render evil for evil, but wait, for God’s time. Often we find, it is the worm Jacob, so little, so weak, so despised, and trampled on, by everybody. God’s people are like worms. God’s people are often considered as worms, by their enemies, haughty thoughts. But the Lord will help them, for He is their Redeemer. The Lord will make God’s children as threshing instrument, new and having spikes, fit for use.

Our enemies may be large in number, but it would be impossible to find them when you search for them, for they would cease to exist. They shall be so totally consumed that although you search for them, you shall not be able to find them. They will never harm you again as in the past, for the Lord, has redeemed you from bondage and slavery. The Israelites were under bondage in Egypt for nearly 430 years. They were treated like worms by the cruel taskmasters. But the time came when God sent Moses to liberate his people from oppression. When they left Egypt they had to pass through the Red Sea and the Egyptian army was chasing them from behind. They were caught up between the Red Sea and the Egyptian army. They cried out to the God of Israel. God heard their cry and rescued them from their enemies.

The destruction of Chariots in the deep sea, was an extraordinary miracle   a supernatural one.  The Egyptians were scared of the Israelites for they feared that the God of Israel was fighting for his people. Pharaoh and   his   men   knew very well that they could not with stand the power of the God of Israel. So   they   decided   to   escape from the Israelites, but God covered the sea with the waters and destroyed the Egyptian army. Though the Israelites searched for them they could not   find   them anywhere.

Similarly, you might have faced many tribulations in your life. Bad, cruel and unkind and dangerous, people might have come against you and your children.   They would have tried to manipulate you into all kinds of evil plans.  But   God whom you believed would have saved you from their wretched hands in a wonderful way.  Hallelujah.!  From this day onwards, God’s favour will descend upon you. People who troubled you will see directly how God intervenes in your life to save you from their wicked hands. For our God is good all the time. The Bible says, though we are faithless yet He remains faithful for he cannot disown himself.

Prayer:   Our loving heavenly Father We thank You for this blessed day. Lord, You have saved our lives from treacherous people. So we thank You.  You intervened directly into our problems and rescued us from our foes.  Help us to remain grateful to You   throughout our lives. Thank You   for performing   supernatural miracles to save us. Our Life is in your hands. Help us to live the way You want us to be.

In Jesus name we pray.

Amen.

THE APPOINTED BLESSINGS.

I greet and bless you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. As I waited upon the Lord, the blessed word that the Lord gave me to bless you today is from the book of    Isaiah 44:3-4 , “ For I will pour water on him who is thirsty. And  floods   on the dry ground. I will pour my Spirit on your descendants.   And My blessing on your offspring. They will spring up as the grass.”

From the above context we learn that our God can change wilderness into a pool of water. God can change any hard situation, quite   smooth   and flexible for you. That you might live in harmony. May be until these days you have experienced a very dry, and parched, life. You were not of any use to anybody. But God wants to brighten your future he wants you to flourish and bloom. So you cannot continue as a wilderness any more.

Terms like floods , streams, rivers and waters are often  used to represent plenteous or divine provision. It also refers to the Holy Spirit. And God pours it on those who ask for it. God pours the water on dry and thirsty land, upon burning sandy desert, where waters would be made to burst out in copious streams. The above reference says, that God would, bestow His blessings upon His people as if floods of waters were made to descend on the dry, and parched earth. And the Holy Spirit shall fall upon those who ask for it, like the rain that falls upon the grass. And as showers that waters the earth.

Our God wants to change your wilderness life into a fertile one. Your life should spring up like the fountain of waters. Rain, water, spring, fountain,   all denote fertility, greenery, abundance. God wants you to enjoy a   life of abundance. God is going to bring about new changes in your life. He is bringing an end to all your dry period of life. God in order to bless you is opening new opportunities for you. Whatever God wants to do for you, He wants to do it perfectly. God does not want to send you to a place without preparing all the things  that is necessary  for you. He does not want you to go there and suffer. Instead He does all the preparation that when you go to the new destination, you can settle there at ease. Until then you should not be in a hurry to leave the current location,  for you may endanger your life  by being in a hurry. The Bible says, “For you shall not go out with haste.   Nor go by flight, For the Lord will go before you. And the Lord of Israel will be your rear guard.”

Once a brother came up to me for prayer. He got his Visa to Canada. But he had to take up a medical  check  up. Only then he was told that he was suffering from a disease and so he   was  unfit to move to Canada.  I sincerely prayed for him that God should nullify  and heal  any sort of disease from his body and make him fit to travel to Canada. He had made all preparation for his settlement   abroad   with his family. God answered our prayers and in the next round of medical test he was found perfect and there was no sign of the disease whatsoever. By the time I had returned from the Holy Tour he had left to Canada. Yes, God had changed his wilderness life into a life of spring. New life,  new vigour, new place.  God   changed all things in a moment  for him. Only  God can perform such miracle.

God didn’t want to send him to a new place and struggle there. So He made all preparation to ensure that he was physically fit to go abroad. Only then can he enjoy life in  abundance. Otherwise his life would have been miserable. Now he has settled there with good health. That brother said to me, “ Uncle God has done more than what I expected, thought or prayed for.”That is the magnanimity of our God. God helped him not only to settle in Canada  with his family,  but he is earning a fruitful income there. Therefore if you don’t make haste, but wait upon the Lord patiently God will send his angels and prepare all things that are necessary for you to achieve or reach your haven. The Bible says, “God guides them to their desired haven.” May the Lord help you to wait upon   Him.   Then He will change your wilderness life into a pool of water.   God bless you.

Prayer: Our Loving Heavenly Father, we thank you for this blessed day. Lord we thank you for preparing   all that is necessary for us to reach the desired haven.  Teach us to wait on You  patiently,  for the appointed time.  May we experience the days of greenery rather than suffer in the wilderness life. Thank You for sending an angel to help us with the preparation for our future.

In Jesus Name we pray,

Amen.

OPEN DOOR

I greet and bless you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. As I waited upon the Lord, the blessed word that the Lord gave me to bless you today is from the book of Revelation 3:8 “See I have placed before you an  open door that no one can shut. I know that you have little strength, yet you have kept My word, and have not denied My name.”’

From  the above context we learn that God had placed an open door for his Apostles and gave them  an  opportunity  and freedom of mind,  to preach the Gospel. God also opened the hearts of many to observe and receive and embrace the teachings of Christ. Initially the Apostles were weak they had little strength. But later they gained courage and fortitude of mind. Even Apostle Paul had some physical weakness; he also made it known to the Lord. But God said to him. “My Grace Is Sufficient for you.”So Paul never worried about his weakness.  For he knew that God, gives  strength  to  the  weary  and  increases  the power of the weak.

Though they were weak, yet the ordinances and commands of Christ were put in practice. They were not only kept in their memory, but in the heart and life. They   were  preached, professed and defended, by the Apostles. They never denied the name of the Lord. Even Christ Himself confessed and owned His Father’s name. So also Paul after his conversion never denied the name of Christ. Therefore as per the above verse God knew that they had little strength, Yet they kept His word and never denied His name,   therefore   God glorified them before others.

God acknowledges the good works of faith, love and patience, God knew that it was not only preaching and professing Christ, to others, but also their acts of charity to one another were done in perfection, and sincerity. Even though Paul knew that other Apostles lived very well at the expense of the new converts, since they brought their wealth and laid it at the feet of the Apostles. Paul too could have lived such a comfortable life but his conversion, effected by a miracle, did honour to his mission; which changed the  very heart of the most bitter enemy of the Christians. Paul says, “When I came to Troas to preach Christ’s gospel, a door was opened to me by the Lord.” Paul considered this door as the most favourable door by which he could enter, and render himself to the cause of the gospel of Christ. And through this door he was accepted by the other Apostles who received him with open arms. Moreover his knowledge in Greek, Latin, Hebrews, and Aramaic  promoted him to extend his spiritual conquest into the province of Asia  and Greece. It looks that without him the gospel would not have been preached  so soon  all    over  the world.

God says, “ I stand at the door and knock, If any one,  hears   My voice and opens the door I will come in to him and dine with him and he with Me.”  God is inviting you to open your heart and allow Him to enter inside of you. The moment He comes into your life  God will  open  the doors for you to move forward. Every door that had been shut  all these years will begin to open, towards  your prosperity.  He is a God who opens the door that no one can shut. He   will open the doors of your business centre, the doors of your work spot, the  doors of your education. The door to go abroad, the door  to  receive   your Visa.   The   door to obtain justice from the long  pending case. What other doors have been closed so long?  God says, “Make known your requests unto the Lord, by prayer and supplication and with thanksgiving.” Then the Lord will open the door for you. Are you willing to receive the Lord into your heart? Only  then you will be blessed. For the Bible says, “He who trusts in the Lord will be prospered.”Enter the Door and be blessed.  God bless you.

Prayer. Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Lord, we thank You for Apostle Paul who set a good example of Christ. We thank You Lord  for   the door that  you have placed before us that we may enter in and have fellowship with You. Help us to utilize the door of opportunity   usefully,  and purposefully. Teach us to be like Paul,  not to worry over our weakness, but cast all our burden upon the Lord. May we inherit   the blessings  of  the  Lord as we enter the open door.

 In Jesus name we pray,

Amen
