Dearly beloved brothers and sisters in Christ, I greet and bless you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. The blessed word that the Lord has given for you today is from the book of Psalms 36:8, “They feast on the abundance of your house; you give them drink from your river of delights”. The Lord says that He will bless you with the abundance of His House.
You will receive all your blessings in abundance, in the House of the Lord. When you enter into His presence, do not think of any other problem. Keep your focus on the Lord and give heed to His words. When you carefully listen to His words, you will see miracles happening in your life. There are many people who know that there is abundant blessing in His temple but they do not know how to receive it. You do not need a special language to talk to the Lord. Speak to your heavenly Father the same way that you speak to your Earthly father. All that the Lord expects from you is for you to pour out all the burdens and requests of your heart to Him. Only then he will be able to meet all your needs. When the baby cries for food, the mother feeds. Likewise, only when you ask the Lord for what you need, He will give it to you.
The bible tells us the story of Hannah. She was the first wife of Elkanah. She was not able to bear a child for many years whereas the second wife succeeded her in that. This brought great shame and agony in the heart of Hannah. One day she ran to the House of the Lord and poured out the agony of her heart. When she went into the temple, she went with her face down in shame. But after she poured out her heart, she went out of the temple with great satisfaction because she knew that the Lord will surely give an answer to her tears.
Similarly, you might also have worries piled up in your heart not knowing what to do. But when you pour out the worries of your heart at the feet of Jesus, He will surely answer you and you will receive His blessings in abundance.
God bless you.
Prayer:
Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. You are the God who pours out blessings in abundance. I pray that You may fill Your dear children with the abundant blessing. When they pour out their hearts burdens and pray to You, I pray that You may fulfill all that they need. Father, may You guide them and lead them in the way they should go. In Jesus name we pray,
Amen.
Dearly Beloved , I greet and bless you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. The blessed word that the Lord has given for you today is from the book of Psalm 34:10 says, “The lions may grow weak and hungry, but those who seek the LORD lack no good thing.’’
From the above context we learn that this Psalm, was written by David at one of the very darkest days of his wanderings, and was living, in the hills with a band of outlaws. In such a situation one might have grumbled at God, But instead, his words were running over with gladness, and the Psalm begins ‘I will bless the Lord at all times, and His praise shall continually be in my mouth.’ Similarly here he avers, a great deal of what the world calls ‘good,’ that ‘they that seek the Lord shall not want any good thing.’ There were lions in Palestine in David’s time. He had often fought with one of them. Very likely they were prowling about the rocky mouth of the cave, and he weaves their howls into his psalm: By saying “ The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the Lord shall not want any good.”
So, then, here are the two thoughts-the struggle that always fails and the seeking that always finds. The young lions take violent effort and struggle, and exercise supreme strength, with all their teeth and claws, yet ‘they lack, and suffer hunger.’ This statement suggests that the men whose lives are one long fight to hoard for themselves more and more of outward good, are living a kind of life that is often a failure or deception. A fierce struggle for material good is the true description of the sort of life that most of us live. There is no satisfaction or success ever to be won by this way of fighting and struggling and scheming and springing at the prey. No matter how soft is the mattress, if there is one tiny thorn sticking up through it all the softness goes for nothing. Thus we see that men count up their disappointments, and forget all their fulfilled hopes, count up their losses and forget their gains. They think less of the thousands of blessings that God has blessed them with rather than dote over the half- crown that they were cheated of.
Now, how do we ‘seek the Lord’? Our search of God, is search after the one who is near to us, and who delights in nothing but in pouring Himself into our heart, mind, our will and life. And if only our heart, mind, and life, are willing to accept Him. Then we find Him. We must seek Him by desire. Do you want Him? A great many of us do not. We seek Him by communion, by turning our thoughts to Him, amidst all the rush of daily life. We seek Him by obedience. And they who thus seek Him find Him in the act of seeking Him, just as certainly as if “ I open my eye I see the sun.’’ For He is always seeking us. ‘The Father seeks such to worship Him.’ For the Bible says, ‘Seek, and ye shall find.’ By seeking Him, we shall be sure to find everything in God. Hence look at the grand confidence, and the utterance of a life’s experience in these great words: ‘So, then, here are the two thoughts-the struggle that always fails and the seeking that always finds.
For those who seek God there will be no lacking in their life. I am sure you have gained confidence in the Living God while reading this message that when you desire to search for Jesus, then you can be rest assured that God will fulfill all the desires of your heart. May be until now things did not work the way you expected. But from today God changes the nothingness into abundance.
Prayer:
Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Lord we thank You so much for clearing all our doubts about seeking God. Through this message , You have taught us the great truth. Help us to apply it in our hearts and start seeking God. May we seek Him when He is found and not delay our search for Him. Teach us to realize that when we seek Him with our whole heart He will be found. And once we find Him then we will not lack any good thing. For He satisfies the longing soul and will abundantly bless our provision, and satisfy our need with bread. He makes peace in your borders and causes our sleep to be sweet. Thank You Jesus for all Your blessings.
In Jesus name we pray,
Amen.
Dearly beloved brothers and sisters in Christ, I greet and bless you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. The blessed word that the Lord has given us today is from the book of Hosea 12:4, “He struggled with the angel and overcame him; he wept and begged for His favor. He found him at Bethel and talked with him there”. BETHEL was the place where God met Jacob and spoke to him. The Lord who met Jacob, is going to meet you today through His word. Jesus is looking at each of you individually. He is examining each of your needs and is speaking to you right now.
Jacob was the one, who received the blessings of his parents and without any capital, he decided to begin his life. When there came a time he had to earn, his parents called him and blessed him whole heartedly. They sent him to his uncles’ place and told him to work there. His parents submitted him into the hands of God. As he obeyed the words of his parents and went, God blessed Jacob with a step-by-step increment in his salary for ten times. Later, he got an opportunity to partner with his uncle as a working partner. His boss was his uncle but his capital was his hard work. God blessed Jacob several times.
After many years, when Jacob returned home, his heart was full of fear. Jacob and his brother had a fight and that was why he left home. Jacob feared that, the enmity his brother had against him might bring danger to him and his family. That night, Jacob battled with the Lord in prayer and asked His favor and blessings. The Lord blessed Jacob and everything went well.
Likewise, God expects the same kind of prayer life from you. Many of you reading this might be crying that, you are not getting any increment in your salary. Today, the Lord says that, He is going to bless you with double and triple increment in your salary. God is telling you that, all that you need is the wholehearted blessings of your parents. Believe it and receive it. Share all your problems with Jesus and He will open a way for you.
God bless you.
Prayer:
Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. I pray that You may bless Your dear children. Father, teach them to share their problems with You so that You will be able to give them a solution. Give them Your blessings today Lord. Enable them to experience the sweet communion with You. In Jesus name we pray,
Amen.
Dearly Beloved, I greet and bless you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. The blessed word that the Lord has given for you today is from the book of Genesis 31:42, “ Except the God of my father, the God of Abraham, and the fear of Isaac, had been with me, surely thou would have sent me away now empty. God hath seen mine affliction and the labour of my hands, and rebuked thee yesterday night. “
From the above context we learn that Jacob left secretly to his Father’s land, fearing that Laban would carry away his wives and children. But When Laban heard that Jacob was fleeing to his father’s place he chased him from behind. He took his brethren with him and pursued him and overtook him in the mountains of Gilead. But God appeared to Laban in a dream that night and warned him to be careful to speak to Jacob neither good, nor bad. For God had seen the affliction of Jacob in the house of Laban and the labour of his hands and therefore delivered him from his hands.
Jacob on seeing Laban, was rather sacred that Laban would carry away his wives and children. So he reminds him of the hard labour he had done for Laban, during the twenty years, of his stay in his uncle’s place. Jacob actually left his father’s place Canaan to Padan Aram, in order to make his lively hood. He ran away from his father’s house, for fear of his elder brother Esau, who had planned to kill, him for cheating him and taking away his blessings from his father. And since Jacob’s parents did not have money or wealth to give him to do his business, they blessed him from the depth of their heart and sent him away.
But we see that Jacob did not live a peaceful life in his uncle’s place. He had to work hard for his bread. He was asked to tend his uncle’s sheep. So he worked hard for seven years to inherit his uncle’s daughter Rachel. But he was cheated by Laban. He gave his eldest daughter, Leah to be his wife. So he worked for another seven years, and married Rachel. Then he worked for next six years for the welfare of his family. Thus we see that Jacob worked under his uncle for nearly twenty years. And during this period of work under him his wages were changed ten times. He worked under very hard circumstances. His entire carrier was a period of much stress and strain. His uncle was rather cruel, since he kept cutting his wages whenever it pleased him. He worked in the midst of much difficulty while tending the sheep. Especially when he lost a sheep from his sheep fold. Or someone would have stolen one of his sheep or it might have gone astray. It was not his mistake yet Laban would cut off his wages as punishment. He felt miserable because he worked night and day. Both in the cold and heat of the day. Be it winter or summer. His sleep was far from him, says the word of God. He worked tirelessly. Thus his days in his uncle’s place was a period of distress. The difficulties he faced was inexpressible.
Jacob then made a business partnership with his uncle. As a result his business began to multiply. Since God was with Jacob, he blessed the work of his hands. Those sheep that were feebler were Laban’s and the stronger ones were Jacob’s. Because of Jacob his uncle too was blessed but he never realized it. Thus Jacob became exceedingly prosperous and had large flocks, female and male, servants and camels and donkeys. Twenty years back we see Jacob running from his father’s house to his uncle’s place and crossed the river Jordan, with an empty hand and a staff. But now he had two companies. So he decided to return to his father’s land Canaan with his wives and children. Therefore Laban realised that he should not interfere with Jacob and bidding farewell to his daughters and grandchildren he returned to his place without harming Jacob.
To those of you who are reading this message I wish that you prosper like Jacob. Are you willing to do well in your life? Do you wish to rise up in your status? Then receive the blessing of your parents and start working hard. You will succeed. God expects hard work from you. God does not help lazy people. The Bible says, the hand of the diligent will rule, while the slothful will be put to forced labour. Jacob endured patiently in his uncle’s place and the Lord had observed his hard work and his truthfulness with which he worked. God had seen his affliction and therefore he set him free to return to his home land without the interference of his uncle. God shut the mouth of Laban from hurting Jacob. Are you facing trouble in your work spot. Well God will bind the mouth of your boss or those who unnecessarily interfere in your business when you walk in the fear of God as Jacob did. May be your beginning in the office where you have started to work or taken up a business may be small initially but gradually your end shall increase abundantly. God blesses those who obey and respect their parents. In case you have not been obedient or failed to respect your parents please learn to do so. Then God will bless you. God bless you.
Prayer: Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Thank You Lord for telling us the importance of receiving the blessing of our parents. Help us to obey and respect them for what they are to us. Teach us to work hard like Jacob in spite of all hardship, with the hope of prospering in the future. Prevent us from being lazy and lethargic in our work. Even we remain empty handed before You Lord, fill us with your blessings. For Wealth and riches come from you; you are the ruler of all things. In your hands are strength and power to exalt and give strength to all.
In Jesus name we pray.
Amen.
I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you today, is from the book of 1 Peter 5:5 , All of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, because, “God resists the proud. But gives grace to the humble.”
From the above passage we come to understand that Apostle Peter was giving wise instruction both to the church elders as well as to those that were younger in age. He calls all believers to clothe themselves with humility towards one another – explaining that God resists those that are proud but gives grace to those that are humble in action and attitude. Peter had learned, what it means to suffer for Christ; and how necessary it was to resist the devil. Peter had also learnt through experience the need for humility of heart and meekness of spirit and so he calls both elders and young men to cloth themselves with humility towards one another – because God resists the proud but gives grace to the humble. May we be self-controlled, willing to serve and gentle in spirit. And may we also humble ourselves under the mighty hand of God – so that He may lift us up in due time.
Humbleness is a quality of being modest.True humbleness is characterized by humility. As children of God you need to put on the garment of royal majesty. You should possess the quality to reign because you are children of God , The king of kings and Lord of Lords. Your humbleness does not remain in your dressing or apparels but in maintaining dignity and honour. You should behave modestly wherever you go, because you are representative or ambassador of Christ. Our God who is Holy, and dwells in the high and holy place, has a contrite and humble spirit.
We read about Mordecai in the Bible . He was a humble Jew. He lived in Sushan. He adopted his cousin Esther an orphan, and looked after her as his own daughter in spite of the kings decree that all should prostrate themselves before Haman who was a Vizier( A higher official) in the Persian empire. Mordecai refused to bow before him. So Haman hated Mordecai. He looked for a way to destroy Mordecai and his people. Since Haman was a favoured minister of king Ahasuerus, he misused his power and according to his plan the king commanded that all the Jews be put to death. Esther who became the queen of Sushan, interceded for her people. At one point of time Mordecai sat within the king’s palace gate. He was mocked by Haman. Haman was a proud man and expected everyone to bow down before him. But Mordecai, being a Jew refused to bow down before him. Therefore Haman was filled with wrath when Mordecai refused to bow down to him.
The Lord honoured Mordecai, who sat at the front gate with sack cloth and ashes and mourned for the Jews, with fasting and wailing. Haman planned to honour himself, by suppressing Mordecai and his people. He cunningly set up gallows to hang Mordecai as revenge. But God who looked at the heart of Mordecai, changed the situation in favour of him. On the day when the enemies of the Jews had hoped to overpower them the opposite occurred. As a result the Jews themselves over powered those who hated them. The fear of the Jews, fell upon the people of the city of Shushan. Mordecai became great in the kings palace. And his fame spread throughout all the provinces. The king honoured Mordecai for his good act of saving the king’s life from death. But Haman was hanged in the very gallows he had made for Mordecai. God expects His children to humble themselves. This incident from the Bible goes to prove that the humble will be exalted and the proud will be punished. Therefore humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up. God bless you.
Prayer: Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Thank You for teaching us that we need to be humble in character. Heavenly Father help us to be self controlled, willing to serve, gentle in spirit and humble of heart. Teach us to consider the elders and also the younger brothers in our church. Let us never be proud, or take revenge against any one. Teach us to be kind, gentle and help us, forgive one another.
In Jesus name we pray.
Amen.
