My Dear Brothers and Sisters, I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you today is from the book of Acts: 17:27 “That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him and find him though he be not far from everyone of us.”
Here we see Apostle Paul preach to the ungodly people, who worshipped false gods, and did not know the true God. , His business was to lead his hearers by prophecies and miracles to the knowledge of the Redeemer, and faith in him; He was to lead them, by the common works of providence, to know the Creator, and worship Him.. Soon the people thought there was another god of whom they had no knowledge. And that there were those who called themselves Christians, who were zealous in their devotions. Apostle Paul’s main purpose in preaching was to command all men everywhere to repent of their sins and engage them to seek to know the true God , who has done all this for them, and to fear and serve him, and to glorify his name: Once if they realize the true God then they might be happy to feel for him, and find him; visible in the works of creation and providence, so to find God, as to know that there is one God, who has made all things; and so as to be convinced of the vanity and falsehood of all other gods.
Paul wants to reveal to all his hearers the weakness of false worshipers, yet, at the same time, he strongly shows us how dim and obscure the light of nature is; since those, who have no knowledge of the true God are like persons in the dark. who lack knowledge of the True God. Though he is not far from everyone of us; but is found everywhere; and by his power , and by his goodness he is continually communicating the blessings of providence to them/ us.
I wish to indicate the importance of seeking God through the life experience of King David himself. David was once rejected and despised by his own father and brothers. He was tending his father’s sheep. as a poor shepherd boy. But he feared God, he sought God even as a shepherd and therefore he was able to kill once a lion and later a wild bear which came to kill his sheep. God was with him, so he had an unknown strength. He killed the Giant Goliath a Philistine, who came against the Israelites. Therefore he rose to that of a king in Israel. He ruled Israel for 40 years. As a result, King David admonishes his son Solomon regarding his reverence to God. David looks at Solomon his son and says, “Solomon My dear son, If you seek God He will be with you. I am saying this , through my experience. That If I have risen up so high in life, from a very low position ,from being a poor shepherd boy to that of a king is because I sought after God and made Him my portion and wealth of my life.” He tells, Solomon that he made God his portion and inheritance of his life therefore God has He lifted him from a lower level to the position of a king. David had made God his wealth and cup of blessing in his life. Therefore he requests Solomon also to make God his portion and Inheritance of his life. He says to Solomon, “ if you seek him you will find him. If you leave him, He will leave you and that will be the end of your life.” This is what King David told his son Solomon.
Give the first place to God and He will give you the first place in life. If any man ,woman, or children who give God an important part in their life, then surely God will make them stand before kings. and high dignitaries. The Bible says, But if you seek the Lord your God, you will find him if you seek him with all your heart and with all your soul. God says,” I love them that love and those that seek me early shall find me.” Further He says, And you shall seek Me and find Me, when you shall search for Me with all your heart.” So I sincerely urge you to seek the Lord and be found by Him that you may enjoy the glories of God and all the blessings that the Lord had stored for you.. God bless you.
Prayer: Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day . Lord we thank you for telling us through Paul the necessity to seek God. May we really realize the importance of seeking God in our life. We know for sure that when we give God the priority in our life then He will lift us up in life, as He did in the life of David. Be with us, strengthen us and revive our hearts to behold the greatness of God and help us to be worshippers of true and living God.
In Jesus name we pray.
Amen.
My dear Brothers and sisters in Christ, I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given you for today is from the book of Psalms 133:1,3, ” Behold, how good and how pleasant it is For brethren to dwell together in unity! It is like the precious ointment upon the head, running down on Aaron’s beard, down on the collar of his robe. It is as the dew of Hermon, and as the dew that descended upon the mountains of Zion: for there the Lord commanded the blessing, even life for evermore”.
The Bible tells us to rejoice in the Lord always. According to Psalm 133:1,3, God emphasises the importance of unity. Especially for a family to have good things happen in their lives, there must be unity among the brethren. Only then can peace prevail in that family. When the brethren dwell in unity there will be harmony, joy and peace in the family.
This is the same when it comes to any husband and wife. When they live together in unity God will create pleasant situation in the family. When we speak of living in unity then there is no room for separation. God is always looking out for the peace and harmony of your family. Because He is a peace loving God. Learn to respect and treat your siblings lovingly irrespective of age or position. It is not necessary that only younger people should respect the elders. But even the elders should be humble enough to respect each other. God is pleased with such people. God’s children should always be first in extending help to others or reaching out to them your love and affection. Children of God should be first in getting reconciled with your dear ones. Godly people should be quick in extending love or help to someone who is badly in need of help.
A couple living together but if they do not have proper understanding then there will be no real joy between then. Their heart must be in tune with each other. There should not be any ego between them. Moreover misunderstanding separates families and gives room for many evil things. Satan easily enters into such families and destroys the joy of that family and brings sorrow and enmity between the members of the family. But unity helps in reconciliation and peace in the family.
The Bible says when you are alone you can chase only a thousand but when you are together you can fight against ten thousand. Today God is expecting oneness and unity among His children. Being alone you may have to encounter several problems in your life. Therefore God expects husband and wife, parents and children and brothers and sisters to live in unity and harmony. If you live in unity God will bless you abundantly all the days of your life. God will cause His Blessings and extend your life for evermore.
Prayer: Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Lord I thank you for having blessed my children to live in peace and harmony. May they realize the importance of unity within the family. Teach them to be humble and loving. Help them to forgive others and reconcile with their loved ones at the earliest. In Jesus name we pray,
Amen.
My dear Brothers and sisters in Christ, I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given you for today is from the book of Isaiah 43:4, “Since you are precious and honoured in my sight, and because I love you, I will give people in exchange for you, nations in exchange for your life”.
When the Lord Most High descends upon your life then all that is lowly in your life will run away. The Lord says, that you are precious in His sight. It does not matter how you are in the sight of others. Because God made man in His own image. God says that you are highly valuable and respectable in His sight. May be until today people might have looked down upon you. You might have been kept aside. People might have deserted and forsaken you. At this point of time you need to take it up as a challenge. When you face the challenge boldly then you will be lifted high. When David fought Goliath and killed him, people began to applaud him. He who was looked down upon by his brothers, suddenly grew famous. God exalted him as King of Israel for forty years.
Remember you are always precious in the sight of God. The Bible says, If God is for us, who can be against us? Yes God is by your side. You are so precious that God has appointed people to help you during the course of your life. God will lift you up in your life. Therefore rejoice in the Lord and praise Him evermore.
God bless you.
Prayer:
Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Thank You Lord for considering My children as precious in your sight. May they learn to understand your greatness and make use of your power in their life. Help them to receive Your word as prophesy and live a Godly life. In Jesus name we pray,
Amen.
My dear Brothers and sisters in Christ, I greet and bless you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. The blessed word that the Lord has given you for today is from the book of Numbers 23:21, “The Lord His God is with him. And the shout of a king is among them.” It pleased the Lord to bless Israel. So God changed their curse into blessing.
Though King Balak invited Prophet Balaam to curse the people of Israel, the Lord intervened and changed the heart of Balaam and he obeyed God. Firstly, Balaam blessed their tents and dwelling places. Secondly, God exalted the kingdom of Israel which included the twelve tribes. God brought them out of Egypt and strengthened them like a wild ox. Balaam said, “Blessed are all those who bless thee. Israel will do valiantly and a star shall come out of Jacob. A Scepter shall rise out of Israel.”
Jesus was born into this world to save the people. They accepted Him and made Him walk as a royal king on the streets of Jerusalem. People spread their own garments on the road. As He went, the disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works they had seen. Saying, “Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord, Peace in heaven and glory in the highest.”
Today, this king is visiting your homes. When Jesus lived in this world, He went about doing good to all. He preached the good tidings to the people, healed the brokenhearted and the sick, liberated the prisoners and comforted all those who mourned.
When this king comes into your homes, you will be relieved from all your sorrows, pains, sicknesses and whatever be your situation, God will set you free; for the Son of man came to seek and to save that which was lost. The thief (satan) came to steal, kill and destroy; but Jesus Christ came that you may have life in abundance. He wants you to reign with honour, and dignity. Only then can you suppress all those who rise up against you and be victorious.
Moses built an altar, called Jehovah Nissi, to celebrate their victory over the Amalekites. God was with them during the battle. When this Jehovah Nissi leads you in your battle, you will never be a failure. Therefore, choose to have Jesus in your life. You will be victorious.
God bless you.
Prayer:
Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Lord, I pray that You may bless my children with power and strength. May the king of kings reign in their hearts. May they be victorious in their life. Give them the strength like that of the rhinoceros in order to overcome every difficult situation in their life. Lord, may You change all their curses into a blessings. In Jesus Name we pray,
Amen.
My dear Brothers and sisters in Christ, I greet and bless everyone in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ . The blessed word that God has given you for today is from the book of 1 Peter 5:5, “All of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, because, God resists the proud. But gives grace to the humble.”
Humbleness is a quality of being modest. True humbleness is characterized by humility. As children of God you need to put on the garment of royal majesty. You should possess the quality to reign because you are children of Jesus Christ, The king of kings and Lord of Lords.
Your humbleness does not remain in your dressing or apparels but in maintaining dignity and honour. You should behave modestly wherever you go, because you are representative or ambassador of Christ. Our God who is Holy, inhabits eternity and dwells in the high and holy place. He has a contrite and humble spirit.
In the Bible we read about Mordecai. He lived in Sushan. He adopted his orphaned cousin Esther whom he brought up as if she were his own daughter. In spite of the kings decree that all should prostrate themselves before Haman who was a Vizier( A higher official) in the Persian empire, Mordecai refused to bow before him. So Haman hated Mordecai, a humble Jew. He looked for a way to destroy all Mordecai’s people.
Since Haman was a favoured minister of Ahasuerus, he misused his power and according to his plan the king commanded that all the Jews be put to death. Esther who became the queen of Sushan, interceded for her people. At one point of time Mordecai, sat within the kings palace gate. He was mocked by Haman. Haman was a proud man and expected everyone to bow down before him. Mordecai, refused to bow down before him. Therefore Haman was filled with wrath when Mordecai refused to bow down to him.
The Lord honoured Mordecai, who sat at the front gate with sack cloth and ashes and mourned for the Jews, with fasting and wailing. Haman planned to honour himself, by suppressing Mordecai and his people. He cunningly set up gallows to hang Mordecai as a revenge. But God who looked at the heart of Mordecai, changed the situation in favour of him. On the day when the enemies of the Jews had hoped to overpower them the opposite occurred.
In that the Jews themselves over powered those who hated them. The fear of the Jews fell upon the inhabitants of Shushan. Mordecai became great in the kings palace. And his fame spread throughout all the provinces. The king honoured Mordecai for his good act of saving the king’s life from death. But Haman was hanged in the very gallows he had made for Mordecai. God expects His children to humble themselves. They that humble themselves shall be exalted. Therefore humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up. God bless you.
Prayer: We thank you Lord for this blessed day. Bless my children to be humble in their life. Help them to walk in the fear of the Lord. May they be wise and diligent. Cause them to walk with integrity. In Jesus Name we pray.
Amen.
