I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you today is from the book of Daniel 6-23 , “So Daniel was taken up out of the den. And no injury whatever was found on him because he believed in his God.”
Fom the above passage we learn that King Darius was sure that Daniel’s God would save him from the mouth of the lion. Though he was restless the whole night to have put Daniel in the Lion’s den, as per the law, yet deep in his heart there was a struggle, within him. He spent the night fasting. And no musicians were brought before him. He spoke to Daniel saying “ Your God whom you serve continually, He will deliver you.” The king knew that the living God of his servant Daniel was able to protect him. So early in the morning, when the King found Daniel alive in the lion’s den, he asked his men to take Daniel out of the den. His joy knew no bounds.
We see the power of God over the fiercest creatures, and believe his power to restrain the roaring lion that goes about continually seeking to devour. Yet Daniel was kept perfectly safe, because he believed in his God. Those who boldly and cheerfully trust in God to protect them in the way of duty, shall always find God as a present help. Thus the righteous is delivered out of trouble, and the wicked comes in his stead.
Dxaniel was a noble Jewish youth of Jerusalem. He was taken into captivity by King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon. So Daniel was a refugee. Although Daniel was a captive in the land of Babylon, he was not ashamed of his relationship with his God. He did not have any sort of inferiority complex in him. He was bold to stand for God and his faith. He was a man of prayer. Therefore God raised Daniel to a high office by his royal master Darius. Those who suffer from inferiority complex display faithlessness. They seem to have lost all hope in themselves. They may even say, “Look I cannot do anything.” I can never be successful. I will never achieve anything in life.” You should never have the attitude of inferiority complex in you, It will suppress you and then you can never shine in your life.
Many children due to inferiority complex fail to dress well. They think they need to show their humbleness only by being poorly clad. This is not what God expects of you. God wants you to look majestic. The Bible says, “Put on the garment of humbleness.” Humbleness is revealed from the heart and not through dressing. Many show their humbleness through their code of dressing but in their heart they are proud. “God resists the proud. But gives grace to the humble.”Daniel was humble in nature. Though he was a slave he humbled himself, before God. He was never proud even though he was well placed, and held a high office in Babylon.
If we live in the fear of God, and walk according to that rule, peace shall be upon us. We should never lose our hope and faith in God. Neither should we have the quality of inferiority complex. It will only ruin our progress in life. It will keep us backward and prevent us from going forward in life. The kingdom, the power, and the glory, forever, are the Lord’s; and we are his redeemed children. We represent Him therefore we need to be bold in Him. Be strong in Him. May we be doers, as well as believers of His word, If not we shall find to have deceived ourselves. So may God give you the grace to analyse for yourself and get rid of inferiority complex. God bless you.
Prayer: Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Dear Lord we thank You for teaching us through this message that we should not have inferiority complex in us. Remove such an attitude from us and help us to be bold and majestic before others. May we learn to be humble and not proud. Help us to show humbleness in heart through our action. Exalt us like Daniel.
In Jesus name we pray.
Amen.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you today is from the book of John 16:33 , “I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have peace. In this world you will have troubles. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, there is no one in this world who does not go through troubles. Everyone seems to be suffering in one way or the other. The Bible says, “Take heart! I have overcome the world.”Some people will face financial problems, while others have some sickness. May be some are badly in need of a good job, or may be on the lookout for a life partner. Some may be going through broken family life. Some must have lost their dear and near one and immersed in deep sorrow. Thus we see a whole lot of people, suffering in one way or the other. That is why the Lord says, “In this world you will have tribulation, but take heart, I have overcome the world.” He encourages the people by saying, not to be worried but to be cheerful in the Lord.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, When Jesus walked on the face of this earth, He was not a bouncy, positive thinker. He was a man of sorrows. And so He promised His followers, “In the world you will have tribulation”. When we find ourselves experiencing weakness, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities, something strange isn’t, happening to us, ”for the Bible says, When I am weak, then I am strong.”
My Dear brothers and Sisters, We may experience sorrow from the world and redemption from our Saviour who will work in our sorrows for ultimate good. It’s the spirit in the soul that allows us to be both sorrowful yet always, rejoicing. So in your days of darkness, Jesus understands your situation and does not want you to be troubled about the situation you are going through. Since He has overcome the world He wants you to overcome the world too.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, This is the conclusion of our Lord’s Sermon to his disciples. Since he was about to depart, to His Father in Heaven, He assured His disciples that he was going to prepare a place for them. He came to this earth to fulfil the plan of God the Father. The will of the Father, was that Jesus had to take up the sufferings of the cross. Jesus knew that His disciples would not be able to bear his sudden departure. So He prepares their heart to bear not only the loss of his presence, but also to bear with Him the sufferings he had to go through on the cross of Calvary as it was the will and plan of God the Father. He cautions His disciples by saying, that He had told them of these things so that they might have peace in Him. May we apply His counsel in our life and lead a life pleasing unto God and thus acquire peace.
Prayer: Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Lord we are glad to know that you were mindful of your disciples. You had prepared their heart to bear Your sufferings. Thank You for preparing a place for us in Heaven. Help us to hold on to Faith and overcome the world. May we remember to be born of God.
In Jesus name we pray.
Amen.
I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. I take this moment to wish all the mothers in this world, “A happy Mother’s day”.
The blessed word that God has given for you today is from the book of Proverbs 31: 10,15,16 , “’Who can find a virtuous wife? For her worth is far more than rubies. She also rises while it is yet night and provides food for her household. She considers a field and buys it. From her profits she plants a vineyard.’’
The above verse is often cited in praise of wives and mothers. And is among the most popular and familiar texts from Proverbs. From the above verse king Lemuel ‘describes “’the virtuous wife” by the tremendous amount of work she does for her family. She also rises while it is yet night. And provides food for her household. She is not afraid of the snow, and all her household are clothed in scarlet. God says, it is part of what a truly valuable woman will do. Paul an inspired apostle of Jesus Christ expects the younger woman to be discreet, chaste homemakers, good and obedient to their own husbands that the word of God may not be blasphemed.
What Apostle Paul and King Lemuel speaks through the Proverbs, is that God wants women to work for their families. Lydia, for example, held a job. A valuable woman works with her husband rather than challenging his authority or doing him harm. The Bible says, the heart of her husband safely trusts her. So he will have no lack of gain. She does him good, and not evil, all the days, of her life. Lemuel speaks of the husband being well respected in the community due to his wife’s support and work behind the scenes. In God’s ideal family, husband and wife are a team working together to overcome problems, strengthen one another, and raise godly children.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, If a house is divided against itself that house cannot stand. And when woman refuse to work with her husband, it is no wonder why so many homes are broken today. A valuable woman works with and supports her husband, despite his failings. And knows that the peace from submission is far more valuable than always getting her way. A valuable woman works for the Lord. The Godly woman’s work is not just for her family it is also for her God. She extends her hand to the poor, yes. she reaches out her hands to the needy. The passage concludes with a grand note saying, Charm is deceitful, and beauty is passing but a woman who fears the Lord she shall be praised. There are many things that a woman can do for the Lord in a better way, than men can. Dorcas was one such woman who was full of good works and charitable deeds which she did. She made tunics and garments for many of the widows in Joppa. God appreciates such hard work and promises to reward. When life is done, and we look back over our lives, our focus will not be on how many ladders we climbed or the size of the pay cheques we earned but on whether we worked for the Lord. Valuable woman realize the importance of God’s work. God bless you.
Prayer: Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Thank You Lord for teaching us, as to how a valuable woman ought to be. We thank you for women like Lydia, and Dorcas who set a good example of valuable woman. Teach us Lord to work united with our husband and build our family and also serve the Lord together. Help us to be patient and tolerant with our spouse. May we realize the importance of God’s work in our lives and strive to work for God.
In Jesus name we pray.
Amen
I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you today is from the book of Hebrews 13:5 “Let your conduct be without covetousness ,be content with such things as you have, For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”
From the above context we learn that Apostle Paul is counselling the people of the Hebrew church about their conduct. He tells them how they ought to be, in order that they will not be forsaken by God. And through this message the Lord is warning you too. God wants you to be careful in life , regarding the things of this world. God expects that each one of you should not be over anxious for worldly things. Desire for riches causes one to involve in many wrongful activities. Your love of money shows that you are more interested, in the things of this world, rather than your eternal life, with God.
In laying up treasures for a man’s own self, without being in any way useful to others and not making use of the talents given to you, for the glory of God, is sin. This is a very great evil, it is called idolatry and it is said to be the root of all evil. In those days the Jews were prone to this sin of covetousness. Therefore Paul had to admonish them. He wanted the believers in the Hebrew churches to keep away from covetousness. Instead he wanted them to show, brotherly love, hospitality, and to help in relieving people in bonds and adversity. And be content with such things as you have.
God desires that you remain content with the present things. And such contentment with these things, shows thankfulness, for the mercy of God, and your submission to the will and providence of God. For God hath Himself said, “I will never leave you, nor forsake you.”When Moses was handing over the charge, of his people, to his successor, Joshua, He said, to Joshua, “ Be strong and of good courage. God will not fail you neither forsake you. Paul in his Epistle, to the Hebrews, refers to the same statement, and assures the people that in whatever circumstances they go through God will never leave them or forsake them.
Today man is not content with what God has provided him. He is not content with his job. He thinks he could have got a better job. Then he is not content with his salary. So he starts a side business. He can neither attend his job nor concentrate on his business. One fine day, he is found on the street with a huge loan to his account. He is not satisfied with his life partner. Neither is he content with his children whom God has blessed him with. He compares his wife and children with others. He is not satisfied with his honest and faithful servants. This is the common and low attitude of man as such. But God is displeased with this type of people.
There is a saying that “Money does many things.”This is true. But the Bible says, “The love of money is the root cause of all evil.” Money is essential, but money shouldn’t become your life itself.” Often we hear of incidents where children kill their own parents for the sake of property or wealth. Some men desert their own wife and children for the sake of money. Love of money is harmful, rather dangerous too. Today you need to repent of all your wrong doings. Ask God to forgive you and help you to live a life of contentment. Thank God for your good wife, your good children, your friends, your job, your salary whatever God has blessed you with. Be always grateful to God and pleasable in God’s sight, and learn to live a life of contentment rather than crying over the things that you don’t have or expect to have. Praise the Lord who considers you in your lowly state. Then God will never leave you or forsake you. God bless you.
Prayer: Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Dear Lord we thank You for teaching us through this message that we need to be content with what we have . And not be covetous. Never to compare our wife or children with others. Help us to be thankful with what God has given us. We also thank you for assuring us that you will neither leave us nor forsake. May we learn that contentment with Godliness is great gain.
In Jesus name we pray.
Amen.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you today is from the book of Genesis 22:12 “For now I know, that you fear God, Since you have not with held, your son, your only son, from Me. “
From the above context we learn that Abraham who was known as the friend of God, was childless and he was waiting patiently for the gift of a child. God had promised him that he would make him a great nation ,and that He would l bless Him and make his name great. So Abraham waited on the Lord patiently. Now both Abraham and Sarah were old, well advanced in age, and Sarah, had passed, the age of child bearing. But as the Lord had promised Abraham, Sarah bore to him a son and he called him Isaac. So the child grew up and was so dear to Abraham as he was the son of his old age.
But a day came when God wanted to test the faith of Abraham. So God called Abraham and asked him to sacrifice his only begotten son Isaac at Mount Moriah. So in obedience to God he took two of his men and Isaac and saddled his donkey took some wood and went to the place of which God had told him. So Abraham built an altar and laid his precious son on the altar, and stretched out his knife to slay his son, when God intervened, and stopped him from sacrificing his beloved son on the altar.
The Angel of the Lord, called Abraham from heaven, and said. “Do not lay your hand on the lad or do anything to him, for now I know, that you fear God, Since you have not withheld, your son, your only son, from Me. “So we see that Abraham revealed his fear for God by his implicit obedience. The Lord therefore blessed Abraham with flocks, herds, cattle, riches, wealth, men servants, maid servants, and multiplied him abundantly. He also blessed him with gold, silver, camels and donkeys. God made him the most wealthiest man upon this earth, because he feared God. When God called him and asked him to get out of his country, from his family and his father’s house to a land that God would show, he obeyed God without questioning or doubting God. And so he was blessed.
Mary the mother of Jesus, and Jesus himself are characters who proved to be obedient, and humble in nature. Therefore God lifted them up. Mary had the quality of humbleness. When the Angel of the Lord came to her with the good news, and said to her, “And behold you will conceive in your womb and bring forth a son, and you shall call his name Jesus.”She humbled herself and replied, Behold the maid servant of the Lord, Let it be to me according to your word.”Here she obeyed the word of the Angel Gabriel. So she was known as the “ Highly favoured, Most Blessed among Woman.”God honoured her. God honoured Jesus, since He humbled himself to the very cross and therefore God exalted him by seating Him at the right hand of God the Father.
Every action of yours should reveal your humbleness. You need to respect the feelings of others. Respect the feelings of even those who are of low status. It may be your own husband or your wife. You need to respect even the feelings of your grown up children. Some wives may be more learned, more qualified, may be holding high post in the office, yet you need to be humble yourself, before your husband. Likewise many husbands too are so proud of your position that you fail to respect your wives. You need to repent of your wrong doings today. God says, “ That you Love one another as, I have loved you.” You need to exercise Godly love all the days of your life. Only then God will be pleased with you. These two characteristics, are important to attain name, fame and wealth in life. May God help you to acquire these good qualities in your life that you may be blessed like Abraham or Mary the Mother of Jesus. God bless you.
Prayer: Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Lord we thank you for teaching us through this message that we ought to fear God and obey His word. Help us to avoid all wrong doings and reconcile with God each day of our life. Lord may we be like Abraham who was a man of great faith and like Mary who obeyed the voice of the Angel of God. Lord teach us to respect the feelings of others irrespective of their status. Bless us Lord according to our good nature.
In Jesus name we pray.
Amen.
