My Dear Brothers and Sisters, I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you today is from the book of Hebrews 12:6 , “For whom the Lord loves He chastens. And scourges every son whom he receives. ”
From the above context we know that it is a universal truth that God sends trials on those whom He loves. It does not mean that he sends chastisement though you don’t deserve or just to inflict pain. But it means that by his chastisements he shows that he has a parental care for us. He does not treat us with neglect and unconcern. The very fact that he corrects us shows that he has towards us a father’s feelings and exercises towards us a parental care. If He did not care for us then he would let us go on without any attention, and leave us to pursue, a course of sin that would lead us to ruin our lives.
God scourges every one whom he acknowledges as his child. The Bible clearly says, For whom the Lord loves He corrects. Just as a father, the son in whom He delights, practically we learn obedience by the things which we suffer from. All men are not the objects of God’s love. Only a special people whom he has chosen for himself are scourged. Especially when they sin and walk against Him then He quickens and calls them by His grace. He justifies, pardons, and accepts them in Christ. And whom he causes to love these He loves with an everlasting love. Now these who are chastened by Him, He loves them, while they are being chastened.
Many men of God have been chastened by God in Bible times. Yet they proved victorious in life. Joseph was thrown into the pit by his own brothers, Later they sold him to the Egyptian merchants for 20 shekels of silver. In Egypt he was accused by Potiphar’s wife and put in jail for no fault of his. Because he endured his trials patiently God exalted him to the post of Governor in Egypt. Likewise Daniel who was taken as captive at the age of 14 to Babylon, stripped off his clothes and his hands tied by chains. He was faithful to God and made a commitment that he would not defile himself with the portion of the kings delicacies. Daniel was a man of prayer. God gave him wisdom to interpret dreams and visions. He humbled himself before God during the time of his trials. Hence God exalted him to the post of Prime minister in Babylon. The king Nebuchadnezzar fell prostrate before Daniel and paid him honour.
One cannot forget the crude affliction of Job that he underwent. Job was chastened bitterly. He lost his children, his cattle his health and all his wealth. He was despised by his friends. He was mocked by his own wife. The Bible says, In all this Job did not sin nor charge God with wrong. He never sinned with his lips. God was pleased with Job for he was blameless, and upright. And one who feared God and shunned evil. Therefore as soon as the period of trial was completed he found favour in the eyes of God. The Bible says, God blessed him before his friends and relatives who criticised him. And the Lord restored Job’s losses. He too was a man of prayer. Indeed the Lord gave twice as much as he had before. Hence the Lord blessed the latter days, of Job than his beginnings.
The Lord will bless you too in the same manner as He blessed Joseph, Daniel, and Job. If you listen to His word you will dwell safely and you will be secure without fear of evil. You need to endure patiently and sincerely the period of affliction or chastisement while God allows it in your life. Then the Lord will honour you and your days of sorrow will turn to joy as it happened in the lives of these men of God. Call upon Him during the days of trouble. He will be very gracious to you, at the sound of your cry. When He hears it, He will answer you. Then You will be exalted and honoured by God. People who rejected you will come back to you. Those who had hurt you will now reconcile with you. God will reverse all situations in favour of you. So believe that God is able to perform all that He has promised you. God bless you.
Prayer: Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Dear Lord thank You for correcting us and moulding us to the kind of vessel You want us to be. May we learn obedience through sufferings Help us to accept affliction without grudging. Teach us to believe that all things work together for good to those who love God.
In Jesus name we pray.
Amen.
I greet and bless you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. As I waited upon the Lord, the blessed word that the Lord gave me to bless you today is from the book of Psalms 111:10, “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; all who follow his precepts have good understanding. To him belongs eternal praise”. The Lord says that He is going to give the gift of wisdom to all those who lack it.
To whom does God give wisdom? It is to those who follow His commandments. When you live according to the commandments of the Lord, He will bless you with His divine wisdom.
In the lives of some children, we see that the devil enters and destroys their lives by taking away the wisdom given by God. In some houses, though the children are well educated, they are affected by some kind of mental illness. The only way to be delivered from such kind of problem is to believe the Lord Jesus and follow Him. One word from Jesus is enough to set you free. God is our protector.
Romans 16:20 says, “The God of peace will crush Satan under your feet”. The Lord has given you the authority to trample the devil under your feet. Have faith and be of good cheer. The Lord has fought all your battles.
The Lord will deliver you from all your problems and will fill you with His wisdom from above. The Lord will be with you now and forever more.
God Bless You.
Prayer:
Our Loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. I pray that You may bless Your dear children. Father, give them the wisdom to take the right decisions in life. Lord, may Your children learn to trust You at all times. In Jesus name we pray,
Amen.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you today, is from the book of Luke 5:24, 25, “But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power upon earth to forgive sins, (he said unto the sick of the palsy) I say unto thee, Arise, and take up thy couch, and go into your house. And immediately he rose up before them, and took up that whereon he lay, and departed to his own house, glorifying God.”
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, from the above context we understand that Jesus has the power to forgive sins. Two thousand years ago, when Jesus lived on this earth, people gathered wherever He went to listen to His sermon. Jesus not only preached the gospel but did many good things for the people who came up to Him. He healed the sick, drove the evil spirit away, and sent them home joyfully. In those days, when people came to know that Jesus was coming to a particular place, a huge crowd would gather there. One day He was preaching at a cottage meeting in a place called Capernaum, when the people heard that Jesus was about to preach there, a huge crowd gathered there. The people brought all those who were sick, weak and evil possessed to the cottage meeting with a hope that they would all be healed. They had faith in Jesus Christ.
While Jesus was preaching in that cottage the power to heal the sick came into the people during the time of sermon. The words that the Lord spoke had power, spread out like medicine and they were healed. A few people who felt that healing and miracles were taking place, in that cottage, ran out and brought a man who was paralyzed. They brought him in faith with a hope that he would get healed if he heard the sermon. Because of the crowd they could not enter into the house. So they went up on the house top and let him down with his bed through the tilling into the midst before Jesus. On seeing their faith, Jesus was awestruck and He said to him, Man your sins are forgiven. He said to the man, Arise take up your bed and walk.” Immediately the paralyzed man took up his bed and walked up to his home. What a miracle!
Even while you are reading this message I am sure that the healing power of Jesus will emerge into your body and heal those of you who are sick and need healing right now. Halleluiah! Jesus is Jehovah Rapha. Rapha means, to restore, to heal. He is the Lord who heals both physical and emotional needs. Jehovah is the great physician who heals all our disease. May God heal you of your sickness.
Prayer:
Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Lord we thank You for letting us know that you have power to forgive sins. And that sickness is caused because of sin. We thank you for forgiving all our sins and setting us free from illness. Help us to have faith like the men who brought the paralyzed man before Jesus and helped him to be restored. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
Dearly Beloved, I greet and bless you in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you today is from the book of Luke 10:19, “Behold I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions. And over all the power of the enemy. And nothing shall by any means, hurt you.”
From the above verse we understand that God has given us the power to overcome serpents and scorpions. Another reference from the Bible says, You shall tread upon the Lion and adder the young lion and the dragon shall you trample under feet. “Nothing by any means shall hurt you.” God assures that He will preserve you from danger. Even when you are attacked by bitter and malignant enemies that would seek your life, God is able to protect you. The meaning of this verse is that, Jesus would preserve you from the power of Satan and all his emissaries, from all wicked and crafty men.
In Acts 28:3-6 , we read about Apostle Paul who landed in an island called Malta . Paul gathered a pile of brushwood and, as he put it on the fire, a viper, driven out by the heat, fastened itself on his hand. When the islanders saw the snake hanging from his hand, they said to each other, “This man must be a murderer; for though he escaped from the sea, the goddess Justice has not allowed him to live.” But Paul shook the snake off into the fire and suffered no ill effects. The people expected him to swell up or suddenly fall dead; but after waiting a long time and seeing nothing unusual happen to him, they changed their minds and said he was a god. Since God was with Paul, the viper that terrified the people living there could do no harm to Paul.
Even at this time of uncertainties, do not panic or be gripped in fear . God is with us. He is in control of every thing. He will protect us and no harm can touch us. We are covered under His precious blood. Let us not succumb to negative thoughts by hearing alarming news but let us learn to be still and see the Lord work in our life. Let us be a motivator to uplift the people who are engulfed in fear . When God is with us . Who can be against us?
The Bible says, Be not afraid, of sudden fear neither of the desolation of the wicked when it comes. Because when the enemy comes in like a flood the spirit of the Lord shall lift up a standard against him. For the Lord shall be your confidence and shall keep your foot from falling. God bless you.
Prayer: Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Lord we thank you for giving us the power to tread on serpents and scorpions. And we praise you because nothing shall by any means hurt us. Also we believe that God will protect us and preserve our lives from the power of Satan and all his hosts. Help us not to be afraid of sudden fear, but hold on to Jesus who has power to suppress all evil foes.
In Jesus name we pray.
Amen.
Dearly Beloved, I greet and bless you in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you today is from the book of Psalms 107:35-37 “’He turned the desert into pools of water, and the parched ground into flowing springs. There He brought the hungry to live, and they founded a city where they could, settle. They sowed fields and planted vineyards, and yielded a fruitful harvest.’
The above context is a hymn of praise which explains how the Lord has the power to change things. His authority is limitless. He can reverse the condition of anything and therefore the way of life for anybody. In this passage we see how the Lord has great power over nature. He is sovereign God and can restrain His blessings or He can give them in abundance if He so chooses. All around them the Jews saw, the harvest of hundreds of years of rebellion and ruined cities and barren fields. This was originally a land that flowed with milk and honey. It is a fact of life that wickedness brings judgement and repentance brings blessings. This barrenness and desolation that the people of Israel had to go through was a payment for neglecting the word of God. Israel had ignored the laws of God, and followed in the foolish worship of the pagans.
The Bible says, He turns the wilderness into standing water. God can change an uncultivated country like a desert into a fruitful land, as one that is well watered and cultivated.
The Bible says, God turns rivers into a desert, springs of water into thirsty ground, a fruitful land into springs of water. And there God allows the hungry to dwell and they sow fields and plant vineyards and get a fruitful, yield. By His blessing they multiply greatly and He does not permit their livestock to diminish or reduce, if they are brought low through oppression and sorrow, He pours His fury and anger on them and makes them to wander. But He raises up the needy out of affliction and makes their families like flocks. The upright see and are glad. Whoever is wise let him attend to these things and let him consider the steadfast love of the Lord.
Are you going through a dry and deserted life? Is there no prosperity and greenery in your business, family life or your ministry? Well God will turn your life of desert into springs of water. He will lead you beside the still waters. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow you all the days of your life. You shall be like a well watered garden, like a spring where waters never fail. God bless you.
Prayer: Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Lord we thank You for turning our dry and deserted life into a life of prosperity and greenery. Thank You Lord for providing the word of God through which we receive words of wisdom, to deal wisely. Lord You help us to become fruitful in grace and good works.
In Jesus name we pray.
Amen.
