Dearly Beloved, I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you today is from the book of Daniel 3:17,18 , “If that is the case, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fierce furnace, and He will deliver, us from your hand O King, ”But if not, let it be known to you,O king, that we do not serve your gods nor will we worship, the gold image, which you have set up. ”
From the above context we learn that Daniel’s friends were men of great faith and knew that their God would deliver them from the hand of the cruel king. So they refused to bow down or worship the golden statue. King Nebuchadnezzar has a dream. He dreams of a statue with a head of gold, chest and arms of silver, belly and thighs of bronze, legs of iron, and feet partly of iron and partly of baked clay. He dreams of a stone that destroys the statue. Daniel tells Nebuchadnezzar the meaning of the statue: King Nebuchadnezzar hears this and thinks that he is the head of gold. So builds an enormous golden statue on the plain of Dura and commands everyone in his kingdom to worship the image.
The king told his subjects, that when the music sounds and the trumpets blare everyone in the kingdom must fall down and worship the statue. So everyone in the kingdom fell down before the statue and began to worship the golden statue but Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, the three friends of Daniel refused to worship the statue. The king screams at them, saying, bow down or burn in Babylon’s furnace! The three men still refused, so they were thrown into the fire.
Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego knew that their God was able to save them from the blazing furnace. They really didn’t know what would happen to them. They didn’t even know what God would do for them. But Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego had a real kind of faith; a faith that doesn’t pretend that nothing bad ever happens to God’s children. They didn’t know God’s ways; they didn’t know if their lives will be spared, yet, they remain completely faithful to God. They said to Nebuchadnezzar, “Even if God does not save us we want you to know, O king that we will not serve your gods or worship the image of gold you have set up. They didn’t know what their God was going to do for them, yet they continued to have the faith to serve and worship the one and only true God.
The king was surprised to see four men walking in the midst of the fire and they were not hurt in any way. The fourth was like the son of God. So he asked the men to lift them up from the fire. The officers found that the fire had no power over their bodies. Their hair was not burnt nor where their garments affected, and the smell of fire was not on them. The king on looking at them spoke “saying, Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego who sent his angels and delivered, His servants. Who trusted in Him. He further said, that there is no other God, who can, deliver like this.
Do you have the faith like the three friends of Daniel when problems strike your doorstep, when someone in your family is seriously ill and is at the point of death. The doctors might have washed off their hands saying they cannot save his life, will you lose your faith in God when you go through financial crisis and think everything has come to an end in your life, will you still remain faithful to God, who considered you very precious and gave His very life for you? Will you remain true to God even though you really do not know how He can help you? Or deliver you either from your disease of financial crisis. Just Trust Him. He expects blind faith in Him then He will deliver you no matter how critical your problem might be. Increase your faith in Him like the three friends. God bless you. Live for Jesus.
Prayer: Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Thank You Lord for teaching us through this message about the kind of faith we need to have in order to be blessed. Help us to be like Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. Teach us to be bold when we are pressurised by the government or higher authorities to do what is wrong in the sight of God. Give us the strength to stand boldly for the glory of God rather than bow down to please men to receive cheap benefits from them.
In Jesus name we pray.
Amen
I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you today is from the book of Matthew 6:33, “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”
From the above context we learn that God wants us to seek Him and His righteousness that we may be blessed. Jesus has just told his followers not to worry about material things such as food or clothing, as God will provide the needs of his followers. Jesus presented a discussion on how one must not pursue wealth and material things more than God. Not one word in the Scripture is superfluous. Jesus having taught His disciples to pray to the Father in faith, gave a long dissertation on the futility of fretting, the fruitlessness of worry, and the anxiety that is caused when our primary attention is on how we can provide for our own temporal necessities of life.
Through a series of beautiful examples, Jesus points out that both birds and lilies do not fret for their food or clothing, but are graciously cared for by God, pointing out that His children are infinitely more precious to Him than pretty flowers or feathered foul. But then comes the important teaching that instead of futile fretting and needless worry, our principal thoughts and prime pursuit should be on the eternal kingdom of God and the righteousness that flows from Him.
God knows that worry entraps the heart and fear fractures faith, which can cause a believer to fall down into a pit of despair. He also knows that we have daily needs and He has given many precious promises throughout the Scripture that He will be our Provider for all the needs and necessities of life – if we will but simply trust in Him. Instead of seeking first the things of this world, through our own effort, God urges us to seek Him first – to develop a right perspective, to exchange natural thinking for godly thinking. So as we trust Him to fulfil His promise to provide for our needs, remembering that He is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, let us take the words of Jesus to heart to seek GOD first, and make HIM our main focus, today and every day.
This message was specially prepared for you, as many of you who are reading this message are worried over many things. You are worried over your husband who is ill or because he is a drunkard. You do not know how to control him. You wish deep in your heart, how good it would be if only your husband doesn’t drink. You may be married for more than seven years and until now you may have been childless. As a result you are going through a shameful life. You never attend any function, because your relatives might hurt you. You think when will God bless me with a child, then I can proudly show my child to others. When will God clear all my debts? How will I pay back all the creditors. Will God make a way for me? God will surely make a way for you and turn all your sorrows into joy when you seek God and His Righteousness, then He will meet all your needs according to His glorious riches, in Christ Jesus. Kindly look to Jesus. He will solve all your problems. He will set you free from every difficult situation. God Bless you.
Prayer: Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Thank You Lord for teaching us that we need to seek God and His kingdom, and not the things of this world. Loving Father, we know that too often due to lack of faith in Your promises of provision we have sought after the things of this world by ourselves. We confess that this is because of the lack of faith in You and we pray that the eyes of our heart would be focussed on You, from this day forward.
In Jesus name we pray.
Amen
I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you today is from the book of Judges 3:9,“ When the children of Israel cried out to the LORD, the LORD raised up a deliverer for the children of Israel, who delivered them: He was Othniel the son of Kenaz, Caleb’s younger brother.”
From the above context we see how God sent Othniel to deliver the people of Israel, when they cried out to the Lord. After the eight years of bondage, Israel finally cried out in dependence on God. It often takes many years of bondage and calamity before man looks unto God. God heard their cry and chose Othniel the brother of great hero Caleb in the Bible. Othniel was not only the first Judge of Israel, but he was a Hebrew warrior during the conquest of Canaan. While serving under the command of Joshua and Caleb, Othniel conquered the city of Debir and won Caleb’s daughter, Achsah in marriage. Now the Spirit of the LORD came upon Othniel and he judged Israel. He went out to war, and the LORD delivered the king of Mesopotamia into his hand; and his hand prevailed over Cushan-Rishathaim. So the land had rest for forty years.
Othniel was the first judge in Israel. Even in Joshua’s time Othniel began to be famous. After Israel’s settlement in Canaan their purity began to be corrupted, and their peace disturbed. But When they cried to God, because of affliction, God returned in mercy to them for their deliverance. Among the judges, Othniel represents the class of scholars. Though we don’t know much about Othniel, we learn that the Holy Spirit empowered him for the job, God called him to do. Othniel believed on the principle of prophet Zechariah “ Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit, says the LORD of hosts.” Empowered by the Spirit of the LORD, he delivered Israel.
The Spirit of the Lord came upon Othniel. The Spirit of wisdom and courage made him qualified for the service of God to deliver the people. He not only judged Israel, reproved and reformed them, but also went to war. God used Otheniel the Judge of Israel and avenged the cause of Israel against their oppressors. Thus Othniel obtained a victory over the king of Mesopotamia, and brought peace which lasted forty years. Thus God uses His children like Moses and Otheniel to deliver the people of Israel whenever they were oppressed by their Opponent.
To those of you who are reading this message, I wish to say, that every human being will come across some kind of enemies during their course of life. And when you are struck with such kind of situation then you become filled with fear and anxiety. But The Lord says, “Don’t be afraid, of sudden terror, nor of trouble from the wicked, when it comes. For the Lord will be your confidence and will keep your feet from being caught.” So when you face a problem at your work spot or within your family, do not run for help to any person, rather approach God who has the ability to save you to the uttermost. No human being can bring any solution to your problem. They will only laugh at you and be glad to see you suffering. But God is not man to see you suffer. He responds to your cry and solves your problem as soon as you call unto Him, in truth and Spirit. Receive the Spirit of God who will govern you with extraordinary wisdom, knowledge and help you to operate wisely at times of Crisis. For you are precious to Him. When you call upon him in the time of misery He will send forth His word and comfort you and deliver you miraculously. He prepares a deliverer just to save you. He fills them adequately with wisdom and knowledge and then he delivers you from your foes. The Bible says, “The LORD will cause your enemies who rise against you to be defeated before you. They shall come out against you one way and flee before you seven ways. So be rest assured that when you call upon the Lord He will hear your cry and deliver you. God bless you.
Prayer: Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. We thank you Lord for sending Othniel to deliver the people of Israel. Please help us when we go through crisis. Hear our cry and save us from all our problems. Physically, financially, and spiritually. Help our children too from all kinds of stress they undergo due to weakness and immaturity. Bless them with good health and strength.
In Jesus name we pray.
Amen
I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you today is from the book of Isaiah 33:20, “Look upon Zion, the city of our solemnities: your eyes shall see Jerusalem a quiet habitation, a tabernacle that shall not be taken down; not one of the stakes thereof shall ever be removed, neither shall any of the cords thereof be broken.”
John, the most beloved disciple of Jesus says, in the book of Revelation, “ I saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven, from God, prepared as a Bride adorned for her husband.”It was having the glory of God, And her light was like a most precious stone., like a Jasper stone, clear and crystal.” The Bible says that the tabernacle of God is with men. And God will dwell with them. And they shall be His people and God Himself will be with them, and be their God. The cords represent with which the pillars of the temple are all held together, and which shall never be broken, they are the everlasting love of God, electing grace, the covenant and its promises, the word and ordinances, which always remain firm and sure, and secure the stability and continuance of the temple of God.
God promises to those of you who will overcome this world by saying”’ I will make him a pillar, in the temple of My God and he shall not go out of His presence anymore. This is the desire of God regarding each one of you reading this message. He will not only make you a pillar in His temple, but He says,” I will write on him, My New Name and the name of the city of My God the New Jerusalem.”How wonderful it is to have the Name of God written on us. This is the privilege to those who receive Jesus as their saviour and look up to Jerusalem.
To those of you who are reading this message , I wish to say that, God is inviting all of you to His temple, that you may see the glorious revelation of God. When you decide to look upon Jerusalem then all your sorrows will turn into joy. Your diseases will be healed. You will witness an increase in your financial status. You will do well at your work place without any unwanted disturbance either by your boss or by your colleagues. Your family especially your children will be blessed. All the blockade, that prevents you from receiving your blessing will be uprooted, The Bible says, The Lord will bless you out of Zion, And may you see the good of Jerusalem, All the days of your life. You will even see your children’s children, Isn’t it a great blessing. Look up to Jerusalem. Don’t look back at the things of this world like Lot’s wife, who turned back and became a pillar of salt. Look up to Jerusalem and be saved. God bless you.
Prayer: Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Thank You Lord for telling us about the temple of God the holy city of Jerusalem. Thank you for making us understand the goodness and greatness of God who dwells within men and desires to be our God and make us His children. Help us to become one of the pillars of your temple. And write on us Your New Name.
In Jesus’ name we pray,
Amen.
I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you today is from the book of 1 Timothy 6:10 “ For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith, in their greediness, and pierced themselves, through with many sorrows.”
Today many people are involved in making a lot of money. They amass wealth in different ways. Building huge luxurious Villas. Building Grand Farm Houses, Purchase of expensive cars, they spend lavishly and hoard wealth either in the form of immovable property or in the form of jewels in the bank locker or sometimes as black money. It is not wrong to save money, but one should not run after money. When they have more money they become proud. Some disobey parents, and involve in squandering money in various ways. Some for want of money get into all sorts of wrong activities and thus get entangled themselves in sin and lose track of God. They become lovers of pleasure than lovers of God. When one gets money through wrong means, it brings curse into your family, and your descendants.
I wish to tell you about an incident from the Bible, about a man who went after money and how it led to his downfall. Naaman was a commander of the army of Syria. He was a great and honourable man. But he was a leper. His maid who was brought as a captive from the land of Israel, pleaded him to meet Prophet Elisha. So Naaman met the prophet. Elisha told him to go and wash himself, in the river Jordan, seven times. Hence Naaman went down and dipped seven times in the Jordan. Immediately, his flesh was restored like the flesh of a little child.
Naaman went to see the man of God and thank him for his kindness. Naaman asked Elisha to receive all the gifts that he had brought for him. But Elisha refused to take any gifts from him. Hence Naaman returned. But Gehazi the servant of Elisha, pursued Naaman.
When Naaman saw him running after him, he inquired if all was well? And Ghezai said, All is well. My master hath sent me, saying, Behold, two young men of the sons of the prophets: have come from the mountains of Iphraim give them, I pray thee, a talent of silver, and two changes of garment And Naaman immediately urged him, to take two talents of silver in two bags, with two changes of garments, and laid them upon two of his servants; and they bare them before him. When Elisha heard that Gehazi his servant had followed Naaman and taken the gifts without his knowledge he tells Ghezai, “Therefore the leprosy of Naaman shall cling to you and your descendants forever”. And Gehazi went out from his presence filled with leprous as white as snow. Thus we see from the word of God that love for money endangers one’s life. Wealth wrongly acquired becomes a curse.
Paul is warning that the lust for riches has even caused some believers to wander away from the faith. As children of God, we have the assurance of God that He will provide for all of our needs, according to His goodness and the riches of His grace. May we use the money we have, wisely. Money should not become our master. Keep Jesus in His rightful position, at the centre of your life, for when you keep Jesus as the focus, of your heart, then other things are kept within a correct perspective. God Bless you.
Prayer: Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Lord let not, our heart long after money as it causes much distress and destruction. Help us to use the money wisely, and help us to always regard money and our possessions as a tool in our hand to meet our needs and not become a slave to money. We commit our life together with all that we own for Your greater glory. We consecrate ourselves to you. Use us for your good purpose.
In Jesus name we pray.
Amen.
