GOOD GIFT

I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord.  The blessed word that   God   has   given   for   you  today  is  from the book of  James 1:17, “Every Good gift and every perfect gift is from above,  and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation.” God is good, and in the beginning, He created all the heavenly bodies. Everything He did and everything He created was very good.  God is gracious. He is the Author of everything that is good and the Finisher of every perfect gift.  The redemption of God itself was a gift of His grace and a demonstration of His mercy.

God is the bountiful Giver of all good things and sheds on us the light of His love and purity. Despite our faults, He never fails us nor forsakes us and readily bestows on us the gifts of His goodness and grace – for every good gift and every perfect gift comes to us from the Father of lights.  In whom there is no variation, no inconsistency and no shifting shadows, for as He proclaimed of old, “I AM the Lord and I change not”. He is our Heavenly Father, Who is the same yesterday, today and forever, and Whose goodness and grace towards the children of men, never changes. He demonstrated His amazing love towards us by sending Jesus, His dearly beloved Son, as the greatest gift that one can obtain in life.

I see in my spirit that many of you are disappointed since you did not receive any good miracles happen last year. And the whole world was wrapped in sorrow and pain because of Corona. Nothing happened the way you expected. In fact many lost their jobs, some lost their dear ones. Some got into huge debts as they couldn’t pay their house rent, or pay their loans. Things were so unpleasant and unexpected. But cheer up now,   for God is saying that He will restore all that you have lost. God is clearing all the pending files. And the government officials are signing all your documents that had been pending all this while.  Your requests are being approved and all your applications are being scrutinised meticulously.   Soon   things will change in favour of you.

There are those who blame God for their problems, without realising that the wrongdoings of others causes distress in our lives and in the lives of those we love. He is our God, He is the immutable God Who is eternally unchanging; never altering in His character; never failing in His promises and never ceasing in His goodness and love towards us. Therefore, God is turning the hearts of the government officials, who were against you so long, to suddenly look into your files and grant you a favourable post in the place of your deceased father. Many are going to receive gifts from God the Father who gives without any variation. You will get back your lost jobs, your lost business, your long awaited Visa, and for those of you who have applied on basis of compassion, the angels of God will keep your files right in front of the Government officials, to be signed in favour of you. God did not forget you, even by the end of last year knowing that you cannot bear any more, God made it possible for certain relaxation and you were able to move freely here and there. You were able to watch church services through online programmes. Remember God is always mindful of you. He will never leave you nor forsake you. Wait on the Lord and He will fulfil the desires of your heart. God Bless You.

Prayer: Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Heavenly Father, in a world where everything  around us is changing and all things decay, and are uncertain  and difficult we just want to  thank and praise You   for Your goodness and grace are never-changing and that You are our ever-present help in our troubled times. Even when our faith wears thin and our love grows cold we thank You dear Lord that You are our unchanging God, our unchangeable Provider and the Lover of our soul. We Praise Your holy name for all the gifts you have bestowed upon us.

In   Jesus name  we pray.

Amen.

The favour of God

I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord.  The blessed word that   God   has   given   for   you today is from the book of 1 Kings 8: 56, “Blessed be the Lord, who has given rest to His people Israel, according to all that He promised. There has not failed one word of all His Good promise which He promised through His servant Moses.”

We see in the above context how God fulfilled His promise that He had made. We also come to know that none of His word had failed to accomplish its purpose for which it was sent. As we have entered into a New Year we need to thank and praise the Lord for all the good things that God had done in our lives. He has given us life and confidence to live a better life in the New Year. God gave a word to Solomon   saying, “You will build a temple for Me in Jerusalem. And I shall build a palace for you.  Just like God had told him the temple of Jerusalem had been built. Our God is a God, who does with His hands what He speaks through His mouth.

It was not just the wood, gold and silver and other materials that were provided by King David, for the construction of the Temple but above all things Solomon, the son of David, had the favour of God, to build the temple. Now having built the temple, He gives thanks to God and praises God for helping him build, the temple before all the people of Israel. He gives offerings of thanksgiving, on the day of dedication. The above words were uttered by Solomon on the day of dedication in the presence of the Lord. He says, Lord we thank You for fulfilling all the good promises, You have spoken through Your servant Moses.

Solomon says, Lord we thank You for fulfilling all that you have spoken over the people of Israel and finally You have given rest to Your people. And we thank You because not one word, that You have spoken, through the Prophet Moses has failed, in fulfilling its purpose. Not one word has fallen down. I would like to say, according to the Bible, that every word of God, will accomplish the purpose for which it was sent forth.  It will not return back void. Some of you are thinking in your mind, Well God had promised many things in the beginning of 2020,   but nothing has happened. You are so disappointed. While some of you are really praising for all that the Lord had done for you the whole of 2020, some of you say, He had failed to keep His word. Some of your needs are still pending, to be met by God. But God will never fail you. He will fulfil all that is pending in this New Year.  God will surely hasten Himself, to perform, all that you need in your life.

May be last year, your daughter’s marriage has not happened as  you expected. You  couldn’t get your Visa to go abroad, last year, or you were not blessed with the gift of  a  child  last year.  You might have started building your house but you were unable to complete it  due to various reasons. Even now nothing has gone out of your hand. God will fulfil all that you desire to have in this New Year. Believe that God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think or pray for, according to the power that works in you. A flick of a second is enough for God to perform a blessing for you and make you rejoice in Him. Nothing is too hard for the Lord to do.  For it is nothing, for God to help you, whether with many or with those who have no power. Therefore rest in God and put your faith in Him.  Then He will do miracles for you. God Bless You.

Prayer:  Our   loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day.  Thank you Lord for helping us to realize the greatness of God and for fulfilling, what you have spoken by your mouth. We believe with all of our heart that you will perform miracles for us in this New Year and help us see great days. Help us to restore all that we have lost in our life, that we may glorify God and praise Your Mighty name.

In Jesus name we pray.

Amen.

GOD’s DIVINE LOVE

I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord.  The blessed word that   God   has   given   for you today is from the book of Romans 5:8,  “ But God commends His love towards us in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”

God gave His only Begotten Son to die for us to redeem us from sins and this proves His love for us. – Christ died for sinners. He did not wait until sinners believed in Him to die for them.  Christ died for us while we were still sinners. He died for us before we were saved, while we were still dead in trespasses and sins, while we were still enemies of God. God   most   certainly proves His own love for us for even while we were sinners, Christ died for us!  God hates every kind of evil, but we have all sinned and gone short of the glory of God before Him and condemned.   We were destined for everlasting destruction and without any hope in the world. And it was while we were in this sad and sorry state that God demonstrated how deeply He loved us.

God planned so much more for us through the death of Christ for we were justified and made righteous, sanctified and glorified.  We were adopted as sons of God and predestined to become exactly like the Lord Jesus. God says, “Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with loving kindness have I drawn thee.  He draws us close to Him by His love.”  The Bible says, “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him. “God always wants to display His matchless love to each and every one of you . I wish to share the testimony of sister Thilagavathi who had been married and later divorced  for various reason.

This sister attended our Anbarin Padathil   Oru   Naal   Fasting Prayer Meeting and prayed earnestly because her case was under way and  court  hearing was about to happen soon.  She was in great distress as to how the court verdict would turn out to be. And what would be the state of her life. But the Lord called her by name, Thilagavathy during the name calling session and assured that she would join her husband very soon. She couldn’t believe her ears. She happened to attend that meeting with her friend who took pity on her and brought her there. Adjacent week the court   hearing   came and sister Thilagavathy had been to the court. To her surprise her husband who came over there told her that he will withdraw the case and take her home. Sister Thilagavathy couldn’t believe her eyes, her joy knew no bounds. She is now living a very happy married life. God rebuilt her ruined life.   It’s   amazing to know how God works in the Life of His children. To those who have not settled in life as yet, God will settle you soon. The Lord will open the door of marriage for you. You will live a happy married life.

God loved David, who was once a shepherd boy and raised him as the king of Israel.  He exhibited his friendly love to David by blessing him with a wise son Solomon.  In the same manner God will bless you with children. Many of you are crying for a child, God will soon bless you and make you like a joyful mother of children. The Love of God has been poured upon you for you are very precious in His sight. God will also reunite broken homes and also enable those of you who are waiting to be settled, and are earnestly looking out for life partners, God will help you to settle soon and live happy married life.  God is mindful of you and always wants to bless you.  Just as God helped sister Thilagavathi, to rejoin her husband He will perform new miracles in your life. Therefore   all you got to do is to surrender your life to Him. Believe in the Lord and you shall be saved. God bless you.

Prayer: Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Father we thank you for your everlasting Love and for rebuilding our ruined lives.  We pray that you will bless our children   with wisdom, prudence and good understanding. Thank You for sending Your son Jesus Christ, to die for us on the cross, even while we were sinners. Help us to seek God diligently all the days of our life.

In Jesus name we pray.

Amen.

HOPE FOR GOOD

My Dear Brothers and Sisters,  I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you today, is from the book of   Job 30:26, “Yet when I hoped for good,  evil came.  When I looked for light then darkness came.”

My Dear Brothers and Sisters, from the above passage we do understand that Job being an upright man and was blameless, one who feared God and shunned evil. Such a man who was righteous before God expected good things to happen in his life. He knew that God is good and does well especially to His children. God has laid up goodness for them that fear Him. He believed that God has promised good things unto them both temporal and spiritual for godliness and godly men during this life and that which is to come. But Job was disappointed in his expectation for he says, “I hoped for good, but evil came. When I looked for light then darkness came.”

My Dear Brothers and Sisters, As we all know that evil came upon Job one after another. Even when in the height of his prosperity and because of repeated evil new afflictions came upon him by the order and direction of God. The Light of outward prosperity, such as he had earlier enjoyed had dwindled off.  He had almost sought after and longed for the Light to continue in his life. He waited as any good men would want to be. Since Light is sown for them in the purposes and decrees of God. And hence one should wait for the springing of it up as the husbandman would wait for the springing up of the corn sown in the earth, and seeing that to the upright there arises light in the darkness. And though God hides His face from them, for a moment, he will have mercy on them and therefore should wait his time to be gracious to them. But Job waited for long time to no purpose.

My Dear Brothers and Sisters, but the darkness of adversity, still thicker and darker and with no appearance of spiritual light and favour fell upon Job, that he could not discover the love of God to him. Job though disappointed still continued to exercise his complete faith upon God. Such that he never, ever sinned or charged God with wrong. The Bible says, in all this Job did not  sin with his lips. His friends criticised him, even his wife rebuked him but he never faltered. He said, “Though He slay me yet, will I trust Him.”  As a result God exalted him.  The Lord restored Job’s losses, as he prayed for his friends and the Lord blessed the later days of Job more than his beginning. Job lived 140 years and saw his children and grand children for four generation. This is how God blesses those who put their trust in God.

My Dear Brothers and Sisters, how about you ? Have you fixed your eyes upon God or is your faith on earthly people. The Bible says, It is better to trust in the Lord, Than to put confidence in man. On whom have you put your trust?

If  you endure tribulation and count it all joy, when you fall into various trials then God will turn your curse into a blessing as God blessed Job. For God raises the poor out of the dust and lifts the needy out of the ash heap, that He may seat him with princes. With the princes of His people. Similarly the Lord will lift you up and when you commit your ways to the Lord and Trust also in Him He shall bring it to pass. Put your trust in Jesus. God bless you.

Prayer:  Our loving heavenly Father, we thank you for this blessed day. Lord teach us to have adamant faith in God as Job did. May we apply his good nature in our life. Help us to bear our trials and afflictions with utmost patience.  Thank you Lord for setting up Job as an example of endurance and longsuffering for us to follow in our life. Bless us Lord, as you blessed Job.

In Jesus name we pray.

Amen.

God will exalt You

My Dear Brothers and Sisters, I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you today is from the book of Psalms 23:5, “You prepare a table before me in the Presence Of my enemies.”

My Dear Brothers and Sister, from the above passage we come to understand that God is always, ready to   prepare a table before you in the presence of your enemies. Every good man has his enemies. He would not be like his Lord if he had no enemies at all. Yet we see the quietude of the godly man even in the sight of his enemies, and how refreshing is his calm bravery. And David was one such person. When a soldier is in the presence of his enemies, nothing seems to disturb him, there is no confusion, the enemy is at the door yet God prepares a table and makes you sits down and eats as if everything were in perfect peace. Oh the peace which Jehovah gives to His people even in the midst of the most trying circumstances is inexpressible.

My Dear Brothers and Sisters, David experienced the fear of death. He was confronted   by his enemies. King Saul   was possessed by evil spirit. So David the son of Jessie was called to play music in his harp.  And when David played his harp, he would be relieved of the evil spirit or the evil spirit would subside. Since, King Saul knew that David was anointed as the next king of Israel; he was jealous of him and wanted to kill him.  So he threw his spear at him with the desire to kill him. But God saved him from the hands of King Saul several times.  Not once, but he made many attempts to kill him. But the Lord was with David and therefore saved him from the hands of   King Saul.

My Dear brothers and Sisters, similarly David and his body  guard  Abishai,  for fear of Saul, went up the hill of  Hakilah  and hid themselves which faces Jeshimon,  Knowing this, Saul with three  thousand warriors , surrounded the hill in which David was hiding.  So David could not come out of his hideout. He feared that he would be trapped by his enemies, So he cried out to the Living God. He lifted up his voice to God in prayer, asking God to save him from his enemies. The Lord heard his prayer and put king Saul and his three thousand   men into deep sleep.  Such that they never even noticed David take away the spear, and the jar of water, from Saul’s head. And they escaped from the cruel hands of their enemies. Thus God prepared a table before him in the sight of his enemies.  This royal context explains the presence of David’s enemies, as observers at the feast, they almost mocked at him. But David trusted in God and God delivered him from the hands of his enemies at all times. And this victory was the feast David enjoyed before his enemies.

My Dear Brothers and Sisters, the Lord will prepare a table even before you in the presence of your enemies. God will exalt your name in front of those who put you to shame. God will lift your name. He will increase you on every side and comfort you. People might have told that you would never arise from your fallen state. But God says, “Your enemies, will fall down but you will stand erect, and firm.” Hallelujah. ”God will suppress your enemies that rise up against you. Those who afflict you shall never rise up against you. You will search for them but you will never find them.  This is the Lord’s doing and it will be marvellous to your eyes.

Prayer: Our loving heavenly Father, we thank you for this blessed day. Thank you for protecting us and preparing a table before us in the presence of our enemies. Lord You hear us when we cry unto you. Grant unto us the grace to walk in the fear of God. Help us to be careful with our enemies. Never allow us to suffer in their hands.  May we be victorious before them all the days of our life.

In Jesus name we pray.

Amen.
