My Dear Brothers and Sisters, I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you today, is from the book of John 8:11-John 8:3,4,11And the scribes and Pharisees brought unto him a woman taken in adultery; and when they had set her in the midst,They say unto him, Master, this woman was taken in adultery, in the very act. Jesus said unto her, “Neither do I condemn you, go and sin no more.”
From the above context we see that a group of scribes and Pharisees confronts Jesus, interrupting his teaching session. They bring in a woman, accusing her of committing adultery, claiming she was caught in the very act. They ask Jesus whether the punishment for someone like her should be stoning, as prescribed by Mosaic Law.
One day early in the morning when Jesus came into the temple, all the people gathered unto him; and he sat down, and taught them. And the scribes and Pharisees brought unto him a woman taken in adultery; and when they had set her in the midst, they said unto him, “ Master, this woman was caught red handed in the act of adultery,”’ and they argued with Jesus about the law of Moses. They said”’ Did not Moses command us, that such person should be stoned to death. They inquired of him as to what, he has to say in this regard? This they said, tempting him, that they might have a chance to accuse him. But Jesus stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground, as though he did not hear them.
So when they continued asking him, again and again then he stood up himself, and said unto them, “ He that is without any sin among you, let him throw the first stone at her. After saying this, He again stooped down, and wrote on the ground. Jesus challenged her attackers, pointing out that they weren’t really good in any way. Even though the law calls for the death of both guilty parties, the woman was the only one who was being accused of wrong doing. Jesus pointed these things out, by writing in the dirt. And they which heard him speak, were convicted by their own conscience, and hence went out one by one, beginning from the eldest, even unto the last: and Jesus was left alone, and the woman was standing in the midst. All the men who accused her of committing adultery had disappeared as none of them were perfect.
And thus Jesus had driven off every single one of the men who called for her death. Jesus does not tell the woman, “you did nothing wrong.” He does not say, “don’t worry about what you did.” Instead, Jesus simply states that He does not condemn her. Jesus showed this woman spectacular grace, while still holding firm in calling her adultery what it was: a moral failure which should not be repeated.
And When Jesus had lifted up himself, he saw none but the woman alone standing in shame and humiliation. Jesus said unto her, Woman, where are those who accused you ? Has no man condemned you? She said quietly “ No man, Lord. ”And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn you : go, and sin no more. ‘’”Thus we see that neither Jesus rebuked her for her sinful act, neither did he punish her. Instead He gave her another opportunity for her to live a better life in the future. This incident serves as a useful example for Christians. The adulterous woman was morally and legally guilty while Jesus remains perfect. No one on earth had greater justification to kill her, for her sin than Jesus did in that moment. And yet, Jesus chose not to kill her.
thus we see that Our God is a God of compassion. He cares for us. He is mindful of us. He always prefers that we live an exemplary life. God says, “Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things, and be in health just as your soul prospers.” He tells us that we will prosper if our soul prospers, that is to be in tune with God, walk spiritually and not be worldly. When we have a close relationship with God then we will surely prosper. We shall be like the tree planted by the rivers of water. That brings forth its fruit in its season. Whose leaf shall not wither and whatever he doeth shall prosper. A life of prosperity.
Prayer: Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Lord we thank You for being gracious to the woman who had committed sin. You did not kill her according to the law of Moses. But You forgave her. We remain grateful to You for giving her another opportunity to live a better life in the future. We are so impressed by the way You dealt or challenged the scribes and Pharisees. We praise Your glorious name O Lord.
In Jesus name we pray.
Amen.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you today, is from the book of Deuteronomy 26:8 , “So the Lord brought us out of Egypt, with a mighty hand and with an outstretched arm, with great terror, and with signs and wonders.”
From the above context we understand that our God performed great signs and wonders in the wilderness in order to bring the people of Israel from the land of Egypt. God performed marvellous things in the sight of their fathers. In the land of Egypt, in the field of Zoan. He divided the Red sea, and caused them to pass through. And He made the waters stand up like a heap. In the daytime, he led them with a cloud. All the night with a light of fire. He split the rocks in the wilderness, and gave them drink in abundance like the depths.
He also brought streams out of the rocks and made the waters to run down like rivers. He commanded the clouds above and opened the doors of heaven. And rained down manna, for the people to eat. Thus men ate angel’s food. He also rained meat on them like the dust. Feathered fowl like the sand of the dust. Thus God performed many signs and wonders among them. He sent darkness and made it dark. He turned their waters into blood and killed their fish. Their land abounded with frogs. Even in the chambers of their kings, he spoke and there came swarms of flies. And lice in all their territory. He gave them hail for rains and flaming fire. He spoke and locusts came and ate up all the vegetation. He also destroyed all the firstborn in their land.
People in Egypt did not understand God’s wonders. They did not remember the multitude of God’s mercies. Yet God saved them for His name sake. That He might make His mighty power known. He rebuked the Red Sea, also and it dried up. So He led them through the depths as through the wilderness. He saved them from the hands of those who hated them. Thus God led them by the right hand of Moses, with a mighty hand and with an out stretched “arm, with great terror, and with signs and wonder.
God can perform wonders in your life too. He will go before you and break the barriers that stand as a blockade in showering His blessings upon you. He will make all crooked places straight and level all the mountains. He will break the gates of bronze and cut the bars of iron. He will cause you to ride on the high hills of the earth. And feed you with the heritage of Jacob. He will fulfil the desires of your heart. He will settle you with a good job, a career, a business or grant you Visa to settle abroad. There is nothing that God cannot do for you. All things are possible to them that believe in His name. So cheer up, commit your ways unto the Lord. Trust also in Him and He shall bring it to pass.
Prayer: Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. We thank you Lord for performing many signs and wonders through which You revealed your power and glory. We realize that You are great, for You do wonders beyond numbers. Lord perform wonders in our life too, so that all people will know that we belong to you.
In Jesus name we pray.
Amen.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you today, is from the book of 2 Samuel 28:17,18 “ And the Lord hath done to him, as he spake by me: for the Lord hath rent the kingdom out of Your hand, and given it to thy neighbour, even to David: Because you did not obey the voice of the Lord, nor executed his fierce wrath upon Amalekites, , therefore hath the Lord done this thing unto thee this day.”
From the above context we understand that our God takes vengeance on those who disobey him and fail to please Him. So the Lord took away the kingdom from the hand of Saul and gave to David who was a shepherd boy. Moreover king Saul spared the king of the Amalakites and took for himself the best of sheep and cattle after the battle. He was supposed to destroy everything but he disobeyed Gods command. So the wrath of God fell upon king Saul.
Saul was physically impressive. He was a big and strong man. He had a great feature for leading an army into battle. It was at this time when the people of Israel rejected God and wanted a king for themselves. So God’s word came to Samuel the prophet, to select Saul as the king of Israel. Therefore Samuel took a flask of oil and poured it upon Saul and anointed him as the king of Israel. He was the first king of Israel. God was pleased with him. But gradually Saul’s disobedience and foolishness brought down his downfall.
God commanded king Saul to completely destroy all the people, men and women, and all the cattle, while fighting the Amalakites. But Saul spared the life of Agag the king of Amalakite , and took some of the best sheep and cattle for himself. When he was warned by prophet Samuel that his kingdom was about to be taken he sought the help of the witch or Endor the woman who spoke with the spirits as to what he should do to continue as king. He failed to inquire of God what he should do and did not even have the courtesy to ask pardon from God for all his wrong doings. He forgot God who made him the king of Israel. God regretted for making Saul the king.
As long as Saul obeyed with God, he prospered. But when he went away from God, Satan easily brought about his downfall. Satan waits to trap you and destroy you completely. So it is always necessary for us to remain with God and not get away from God. When Saul was accused of sin his first instinct was denial and blame shifting. He was unwilling to accept his mistake. Therefore while in battle field against the Philistines, along with his three sons against the Philistines, he was badly hurt by an arrow. The Philistines were chasing after him, he did not want to die in the hands of his enemies so he took his sword and fell upon it and died. Even his three young sons died in the battle. When the spirit of God departed from King Saul, then an evil spirit descended upon him and induced him to commit suicide. This is the vengeance of God upon Saul for disobeying his command.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, so let us examine ourselves and see where we stand. With God or with the Devil who walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Saul was admired for his personality and bravery but he fell because of his pride and disobedience to God. You too might be trudging in series of failures one after the other, or may be going through a great loss in your business or caught up in a huge debt. May be you are stuck with serious health problem or going through a shameful situation because of your own children. Whatever may be the reason for your affliction, check if you have troubled anyone in your life or ill treated someone for petty reasons , then be sure the affliction is from the Lord himself. Reconcile with God. Renew your relationship with God for a better future. God bless you.
Prayer: Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Lord we pray that, we belong to You always and not the devil. Forsake us not Oh God. Keep us always at Your side. Teach us to do the right thing in our life. Not to be foolish like king Saul. Help us to be obedient and pleasing unto You. Correct our mistakes and lead us in the right track. That we may receive greater blessing from the Lord. In Jesus name we pray.
Amen.
My Dear Brothers and sisters, I greet and bless you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. The blessed word that the Lord has given for you today is from the book of— Job 14:13 “Oh that You would hide me in the grave, That You would conceal Me, until Your wrath is past, That You would appoint me a set time, and remember me.”
From the above context we see, that Job was going through severe affliction, therefore he realized that he was under the wrath of God. And in the above context he cries out to God, saying “Lord hide me until Your wrath is past”. Lord hide me in the grave that no one would see my condition and mock at me or laugh at me.” He pleads God to appoint a set time for him and to remember him at this point of affliction and offer him another opportunity for him to live and not die in his affliction.
Job is unable to face his own friends who criticised him of his horrible state. They ridiculed him and said that he must have made some secret sins in his life, to go through such a fearful and dreadful affliction, so as to lose all his ten children, his wealth and even his cattle. His body was filled with boils and he sat on the ashes heap, scraping his sores with dry shell. So at this state he cries out to God, begging Him to keep him in secret, so that no eye should see him, no human eye should see or know all about his affliction.
He wanted God to keep him in the grave until the wrath of God, is past. He realised that God sometimes come out of his place in great wrath and indignation; to prevent his dear children and people from being involved in certain calamities, he takes them away beforehand, and hides them in his chambers. Job was sure that the wrath of God was upon him, being severely afflicted. He knew that he would not be delivered until he was brought to the dust, from whence he came so he cries out to God, to appoint him a set time, and remember him. He pleads God to think of his affliction and requests God to give him another opportunity for him to live. He reminds God, saying, “ Lord You have appointed his limits.” for going down to the grave, and being hid there.
Is someone angry with you? Don’t worry, God will protect you from those who are angry with you. Their anger will in no way spoil your peace. But you should never become the object of God’s anger, or the wrath of God. Only when you have a problem you go to God. But if your problem is with God then where will you go? Therefore today you need to renew your relationship with God. So that you will not experience another calamity in the future. You could avoid another tragedy or affliction in your life by renewing your relationship with God. Then the Lord will bless you with a double portion of blessing as He blessed Job and his family. God bless you.
Prayer: Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Lord prevent us from the wrath of God. Lord help us to renew our relationship with God to avoid another calamity in our life. May we learn not to trouble others knowingly or unknowingly. But to be of much help to others. Never to forsake, God but to hold on to Him even during times of crisis. Always to respect others for what they are and enjoy good relationship with God.
In Jesus name we pray.
Amen.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you today is from the book of Ecclesiastes. 3:11 He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also He has put eternity in their hearts. Except that no one can find out the work that God does from beginning to end.”
God has made everything beautiful in its time. God made everything, for His pleasure and glory and there is a beauty in them all. He upholds all things; He governs and orders all things according to the counsel of his will. Some things are done immediately by Him. Some He does when its need arises. But whatever he does there is a beauty and harmony and all are ordered to answer the wisest and greatest purposes, and everything is done in the time in which he wills, that it should be done. And He does it in the time most fit and suitable for it to be done.
All natural things are beautiful in their season; things in summer, winter, spring, and autumn; frost and snow in winter, and heat in summer; darkness and dews in the night, and light and brightness in the day; and all that He works together for good; are like Joseph’s coat, of many colours, extremely beautiful, as are all the providences of God to men. The capacity of men is so small, and life so short, that they cannot find out all the works of God. In fact they do not live to see them finished, and therefore cannot find them out, For God has put something “hidden“, so that they cannot be perfectly known. Such is the greatness of God and His creation. History and science has divided man’s life into three divisions. Namely the past, the present and the future. We actually see several ages or phase of life that one experiences within a particular span of life. But God says, it does not matter how long the period of ages might be. But He has made everything beautiful in its time. Hallelujah!
My dear Brothers and Sisters is there anything undone in your life? Are you expecting for something to happen in your life? Well remember that the Lord will perfect that which concerns you. Nothing is too hard for the Lord to perform. He will perform a miracle for you. Therefore kindly put your faith on Him and He will fulfil the desires of your heart. For He performs what is appointed for you. Prophetically God says, that you feel, as if there is nothing perfect in your family. So you seem to say, “ If only my husband was perfect my children would have been fine. But because he drinks and uses bad language, now even my children have become bad and they use bad words. Since there is no perfection in my family I am suffering so much in my life.” Saying so, many of you are reading this message in tears. Whatever is imperfect in your family, causes you pain, and so you live in distress. If you think of your children your heart aches, you feel as if your head would burst. Because instead of living a God fearing life they are blaspheming God and they are asking why God created them and what has God done for them.
Instead of producing the fruit of the spirit, they are living in their own ways, and as they wish. They don’t even come to church. But today God will change them, even your husband. From today God is going to perfect everything in your family, in your life. He will set right all the ups and down in your family. He will straighten all that is crooked in your life. All that is rough and tough in your life. At times I have seen many ladies begging their husbands to come and meet me, and pray with me. They might have waited for three long years. And finally when they come and sit before me and when they kneel and pray and when I hug them, I have seen a great change come upon them and their family. Because the Bible says, God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think or pray, according to the power of the Holy Spirit that works in us. He heals the broken hearted and sets the captive free. Therefore turn to God and be blessed.
Prayer: Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Thank You Lord for having made everything beautiful in its time. You are the creator of all things. A great and mighty God. For by You all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible. All things were created through You and for You. Therefore we praise your holy name. Lord perform what is appointed for us that we may lack nothing. Help us to enjoy the creation of God and live in harmony.
In Jesus name we pray.
Amen.
