BE THANKFUL TO GOD

I greet and bless you all in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.   1 Kings 1:48 And the king also said, ‘Blessed be the LORD, the God of Israel, who has granted someone to sit on my throne this day, my own eyes seeing it.”

King David thanks God, in his last days, with a grateful heart for blessing him with a son who could sit on his throne after him.  He thanks the Lord for helping him to see his own son Solomon sit on his throne. Though David had to face many battles in his life, God did not bring an end to his life. God had increased the number of his years.  He extended the days of his life in order that he might see his son seated on his throne after him. With great satisfaction David thanks God. On the day when his son sat on the throne, David made a long prayer of thanksgiving to God.   The Lord was pleased with David and blessed him.  Are you thankful to God for all that God has done for you in your life?

No matter what our circumstances may be, we should not let a day go by when we don’t thank God for his mercy and grace. God is worthy of our thankfulness and praise. He who receives all things with thankfulness shall be made glorious. David says in Psalm 116:12, what shall I render unto the Lord for all his benefits?   I will lift up the cup of salvation,   and call on the name of the Lord.

Prayer:  Heavenly Father, we pray that you will grant to us a heart filled with praise and thankfulness. We bless your holy name. Help us to offer unto God thanksgiving and pay our vows. Help us to remember to thank you for all the great works You have done in our lives.

GOD’s Treasure

I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you today, is from the book of Isaiah 54: 11,12 “ O you afflicted one Tossed with tempest and not comforted, Behold I will lay your stones with colourful gems. And lay your foundations with Sapphires. I will make your pinnacles of Rubies your gates of Crystal. And all your walls of precious”

The above words speak about Jerusalem. God promises that His kindness will not depart from Jerusalem. By saying, “For the mountains shall depart and the hills be removed. But my kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall the covenant of My peace be removed says the Lord who has mercy on Jerusalem”.  These verses promise us that God will transform our tempest into His treasure.  He will give us beauty for ashes. He will rebuild our broken walls. He promises that our ruins will be rebuilt. Our desolations raised  up.  And our ruined cities repaired. He also promises to fill our empty places.  These verses demonstrate that Jesus Christ Himself will be our foundation and our walls, for He is the chief corner stone. He promises to restore our broken places such that we radiate His glory and beauty.  He uses everything, precious and valuable to build us according to His pleasure. In fact He uses His very own self to be sacrificed for us.

The above passage actually speaks about the abandoned state of Hebrew nation for they were in exile for nearly seventy years, in Babylon.  They were tossed and most afflicted in a comfortless   condition. The people then, were far away from comforts, which they had enjoyed in their own land and they were apparently forsaken by God. They were afflicted and tossed with tempest. God asked them to return back to their land and promised to make them exceedingly beautiful and pure, stable and glorious. The above verses expresses the beauty, purity, strength, magnificence and solidity. The passage describes the New Jerusalem in the same oriental, manner. For Jerusalem shall be built with sapphires, and emeralds and precious stones. And the streets of Jerusalem shall be paved with beryl   and stones  of  Ophir. God tells  Jerusalem, “ I will make thee exceedingly  beautiful  and glorious, by a plentiful effusion of excellent gifts and graces.’

God said, about His people,   “For a brief moment I had forgotten you, But with great compassion I will gather you.” God was  very particular about the establishment of the new Jerusalem, While describing the New Jerusalem most men do not view Gods church in such magnificently entity colours. But this is Gods view. For the church is the most beautiful, sublime, glorious and magnificent entity upon the planet earth. Hence the external beauty of the kingdom of   God is described in the above verses. He not only defended his people, but also wanted his church to rise with great beauty. May the Lord reveal the importance of church and also the power of God in expressing the revelation of the new Jerusalem.

Prayer:  Our   loving   heavenly   Father, we thank You for this blessed day, Lord help us to know more about the New Jerusalem.  To learn about the greatness of  the church and be involved  in it. Lord teach us to realize the difficulties that the Hebrews faced during exile and also to be thankful to God who delivered them and blessed them with a land flowing with milk and honey. Thank you Lord for building our broken walls with   colourful gems and lay our foundations with Sapphires. Thank You Lord for Your goodness and mercy extended to the people of God.

In Jesus name we pray.

Amen.

THE GREAT DELIVERANCE

Dearly Beloved, I greet and bless you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. The blessed word that the Lord has given for you today is from the book of Numbers 23:23, there is no divination against Jacob, no evil omens against Israel. It will now be said of Jacob and of Israel, ‘See what God has done!’ People would have asked you.  What has your God done to you?  But today God is going to make you count all the good things that He has done for you.

If you are not able to list down His goodness or you are not able to rejoice in God’s work due to some satanic bondage you would have lost God’s blessings. Some satanic bondage is stopping you to rejoice God blessings. You may be worried that you don’t know what is happening in your life.  You may think that you have lost everything in your life. Today God says that “There is no Divination against Jacob and no evil Omens against Israel”.

Whatever evil bondage has chained all your blessings until now, God is going to break those chains as said in the book of Isaiah 54:17, “ No weapon forged against you will prevail, and you will refute every tongue that accuses you. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and this is their vindication from Me,” declares the Lord.

Sometimes you may suffer great sickness in your body because of evil bondage.

In Luke 13:10- 13, Jesus was teaching in the synagogues, and a woman was there who had been crippled by a spirit for eighteen years. She was   bent over and could not straighten up at all. When Jesus saw her, he called her forward and said to her, “Woman, you are set free from your infirmity.” Then he put his hands on her, and immediately she straightened up and praised God.   In the same manner God will cure you today, of your sickness that is due to curse or evil spirit.

God will rebuke all the evils that brought you shame.  Your failures, your debts, or your diseases would have brought shame to you, whatever it is.  The Lord is your King He will not allow your heads to be put to shame.

Be of good cheer. God bless you.

Prayer: Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Lord, bless my children with your goodness for whatever the goodness that your children are waiting for. Lord you shall bless them with all the goodness. Break all the chain and deliver them and make them free from all the bondages. In Jesus name we pray,

Amen.

The Lord is with you.

I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given you for today is from the book of Numbers 23:21 The Lord His God is with him. And the shout of a king is among them. It pleased the Lord to bless Israel. So He changed their curse into a blessing.  Though Balak invited Balaam to curse the people of Israel the Lord intervened; He changed the heart, of Balaam,  he obeyed God. Firstly Balaam blessed their tents and dwelling places.  Secondly, God exalted the kingdom of Israel which included the twelve tribes. God brought them out of Egypt and strengthened them like a wild ox. Balaam said, “Blessed are all those who bless thee.” Israel will do valiantly and a star shall come out of Jacob. A Sceptre shall rise out of Israel.

Jesus was born into this world to save the people.  They accepted Him and made him walk as a royal king on the streets of Jerusalem. People spread their own garments on the road.  And as He went the disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works they had seen. Saying “Blessed is the one who comes in the name of the Lord, Peace in heaven and glory in the highest.”

This king of kings and lord of Lords is visiting, your homes today. When Jesus lived in this world He went about doing good. He preached the good tidings to the poor, healed the broken hearted, and the sick, liberated the prisoners and comforted all those who mourn.

If this King comes into your homes then you will be relieved from all your sorrows, misery, pain, sickness, whatever may be your situation God will set you free. The son of man came to seek and to save that which was lost. The thief (Satan ) came to steal, kill and destroy but Jesus Christ came that you may have life and that you may have life more abundantly. Jesus took the form of a man humbled Himself to death in order that you might reign.  God gives power to the weak and strength to the powerless. He wants you   to reign with honour, and dignity. Only then can you suppress all those who rise up against you and be victorious.  Moses built an altar, called Jehovah Nissi, to celebrate their victory over the Amalekites.  God was with them during the battle.  If this Jehovah  Nissi, leads you in your  battle , you  will never be a failure.  Therefore choose to have Jesus in your life. You will be victorious.

Prayer:   We thank you Lord for this blessed day.   Bless my children with power and strength.  May the king reign in their hearts.   Cause them to be victorious in their life. Give them the strength of the rhinoceros, in order to overcome every evil situation in their life.  Lord change their curse into a blessing.  In Jesus Name we pray,

Amen.

THE WORD OF GOD

Dearly Beloved, I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord.  The blessed word that   God has given for you today is from the book of Hebrews   4:12, “For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart.”

From the above context, we learn that Jesus Christ is the Living Word of God, The Word of God is living, and the Word of God is active. It is dynamic and miraculous. It is vigorous and lively because the Spirit of the living God is the eternal Source of power.   His Word of Truth exposes everything   in us   that does not belong   to   the   nature of Christ:

The Word of God is sharper than any two-edged sword. It can differentiate between words, actions, thoughts, and motives, that are pertaining to Jesus and words, actions, thoughts, and motives, of man that is selfish, faithless, immoral, greedy, and egotistic.  The Word of God, which is penetratingly piercing has the ability to separate the soul of man, from the lust of this world. The Spirit of God is able to judge the deepest thoughts and intentions of the heart of every man.  Every   Word spoken   from the lips of Christ are Life and Truth.

The small words that Jesus spoke while he walked on the face of this earth 2000 years ago performed great miracles.  Bartimaeus, a blind beggar, was once  crying out to Jesus.  On hearing his insistence cry, Jesus  called him over and asked him what he wanted. Bartimaeus asked Jesus to restore his sight. Immediately Jesus heals him and says, “Your faith has made you well.” Again Jesus said to the  paralysed man, “ My son, your sins are forgiven.”  Jesus wanted to prove to the people around Him that He had the authority on the earth to forgive sins”  and  then   proves it by healing the paralysed man.

Jesus while teaching in one of the synagogues came across a woman who had been crippled by a spirit for eighteen years. She was bent over and could not straighten up at all. When Jesus saw her, he called her forward and said to her: “Woman, you are set free from your infirmity.”When the woman with faith touched the hem of His garment Jesus said to her, “Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace and be freed from your suffering.”’ Jesus was asleep on a cushion in the storm and the disciples woke him and asked, “Teacher, don’t you care if we drown?” Then Jesus woke up and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, “Peace! Be still!” Then the wind ceased, and there was a dead calm. The Bible says, “For He spoke and it was done.  He commanded, and it stood fast. “Thus we see that the word of God has power and authority.   Let us embrace the everlasting truth that God’s Word is living and active, powerful and sharp. May we rejoice that God’s WORD is sharper than any two-edged sword and cuts deeply into the soul and spirit, for our eternal good and for His greater glory.  God Bless you.

Prayer:  Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Thank You, Father, for the living, powerful Word of God. We pray that Your word would continue to convict, convert, comfort, and conform us into the image of the lovely Lord Jesus so that we become the person You want us to be. Root out all that is not of Christ and use us for the glory of God, that we may be a channel of blessing to all those around us.

In Jesus Name We Pray.

 Amen.
