Dearly Beloved, I greet and bless you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. The blessed word that the Lord has given for you today is from the book of Job 14:13, “Oh that You would hide me in the grave, That You would conceal Me, until Your wrath is past, That You would appoint me a set time, and remember me.”
From the above context we see, that Job was going through severe affliction, therefore he realized that he was under the wrath of God. And in the above context he cries out to God, saying, “Lord hide me until Your wrath is past”. Lord hide me in the grave that no one would see my condition and mock at me or laugh at me.” He pleads God to appoint a set time for him and to remember him at this point of affliction and offer him another opportunity for him to live and not die in his affliction.
“The grave” is almost a hideout for people like Job. For some the grave acts like the “chambers” where they lie and sleep until the indignation of God against a wicked world is over and past; or the state of the dead, where they are insensible of what is done in this world, what calamities and judgments are on the inhabitants of it, and so are not affected and grieved with these things; if possible; his wish is, to be buried alive, or to live in some subterraneous place, free from his present afflictions and misery, than to be upon earth with the people he is familiar with.
Job is unable to face his own friends who criticised him of his horrible state. They ridiculed him and said that he must have made some secret sins in his life, to go through such a fearful and dreadful affliction, so as to lose all his ten children, his wealth and even his cattle. His body was filled with boils and he sat on the ashes heap, scraping his sores with dry shell. So at this state he cries out to God, begging Him to keep him in secret, so that no eye should see him, no human eye should see or know all about his affliction.
He wanted God to keep him in the grave until the wrath of God, is past. He realised that God sometimes comes out of his place in great wrath and indignation; to prevent his dear children and people from being involved in certain calamities, he takes them away beforehand, and hides them in his chambers. Job was sure that the wrath of God was upon him, being severely afflicted. He knew that he would not be delivered until he was brought to the dust, from whence he came so he cries out to God, to appoint him a set time, and remember him. He pleads God to think of his affliction and requests God to give him another opportunity for him to live.
Dearly beloved, is someone angry with you? Doesn’t worry, God will protect you from those who are angry with you. Their anger will in no way spoil your peace. But you should never become the object of God’s anger, or the wrath of God. Only when you have a problem you go to God. But if your problem is with God then where will you go? Therefore today you need to renew your relationship with God. So that you will not experience another calamity in the future. You could avoid another tragedy or affliction in your life by renewing your relationship with God. Then the Lord will bless you with a double portion of blessing as He blessed Job and his family. God bless you.
Prayer: Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Lord prevent us from the wrath of God. Lord help us to renew our relationship with You to avoid another calamity in our life. May we learn not to trouble others knowingly or unknowingly but be of much help to others. Never to forsake God but to hold on to Him even during times of crisis. Always to respect others for what they are and enjoy good relationship with God.
In Jesus name we pray.
Amen.
I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you today, is from the book of Zachariah 2:7, 8 “ , for he that touches you touches the apple of his eye.”
From the above context we understand that our God delivered his children namely the Israelites from the captivity of Babylon and after he attained the glory of God he came into the world to redeem the children of God from the hands of this world that is corrupt and evil. God looks at Zion (The Children of God) and admonishes them to come out of Babylon and not to engage themselves in the lust of the flesh and sinful activities like the people of Babylon.
Prophet Zachariah compares Babylon to that of this world, which has become more like Babylon so wicked and evil in the sight of God. God is worried that no one should pluck his children from his hands. So He says, “For he that touches you touches the apple of his eye.” He considers His children so precious in His sight. The Bible says, “The Fear of God is the beginning of wisdom.”God expects his children to walk in the fear of God. God is Almighty, God says, “I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, which was and which is and which is to come, the Almighty” to whom all power is given in heaven and in earth.”
When King David was in deep distress, he said, “Let us fall into the hands of the Lord for his mercy is great. Rather than fall into human hands. Apostle Paul refers in his Epistle to the Hebrews, saying “Let us approach Gods throne of grace, with confidence, so that we may receive the mercy of God and find grace to help us in our time of need.”
One day a young man came to see me. He said, “Sir, I have committed a sin, but my conscious pricks me. What should I do? Will God forgive me of my sin?’’ So I decided to come to the Prayer Tower, “A place of Refuge” and ask God to forgive me of all my sins that I have committed until this day. He asked me if God would forgive him of all his wicked deeds and give him an opportunity to live a fresh clean life. I told him, “When God could forgive the woman who was caught in the act of adultery and granted her another opportunity to live a fresh life, will he not forgive you, and give you one more opportunity to live. The tears you have shed are the sign of your repentance.”
This young man was very scared, he even went for blood test to ensure if he was attacked by any disease, due to his sinful habits. I told him, that if he confessed his sins, God is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” He confessed to God with great fear, and since he admitted his faults, and confessed his sins, God changed his tears of sorrow and pain to tears of joy. God gave him a new life. He went home rejoicing.
God expects you to fear Him. He questions saying, A son honours his father, and a servant his master, If then I am the Father, where is My honour? And if I am a Master, Then where is My reverence? God commands us to fear the Lord our God, for our good always, and for our survival. The Psalmist says, “How great is Your goodness which You have stored up for those who fear you?” Therefore I urge you to fear God at all times to enjoy life of fullness. God bless you.
Prayer: Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Lord we thank You for enlightening us, about Your power and Your supremacy that You are Almighty God. Help us to fear You with all humbleness of heart. May we learn to live a God fearing life and not involve in sinful ways. Teach us to come out of the captivity of Babylon, and live a life acceptable in the sight of God.
In Jesus name we pray.
Amen.
I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you today, is from the book of Luke 1:50, “And His mercy is upon generation after generation, toward those who fear Him.”
From the above context we understand that the mercy of God is upon generation after generation, toward those who fear Him. God wants to be merciful to you, but you need to make an effort to change your behaviour according to the desire of God.
Many of you are reading this message with a hope of receiving a miracle from God. Miracle will happen based on the change you make in your mind. Change of mind is very essential for you to receive a miracle from God. While preparing this message and when I happened to meditate upon this particular verse, an incident that took place in our Prayer Tower came to my mind, and I wish to share this to the readers so that you will know how important it is to have a change in the mind.
Some days back a young man came up to me in tears saying, he had come hiding from the police, who were chasing after him. “I said to him “But why did you come to the Prayer Tower, the Police will come here for inquiry and we will be in trouble.”But he cried bitterly saying if only a change comes in the mind of my wife all things will be fine. He continued speaking, that he was a drunkard before marriage, but not knowing this, he was given in marriage to a good girl from a good family. And his wife came to know about his bad habit, few days after his marriage. And on one such occasion he had come home drunk and as a result a quarrel broke between husband and wife and because she spurned at him he hit her with a vase which caused bleeding from the head, and she left to her father’s house. Her family launched an FIR against her husband and her husband’s family charged him of murder attempt. So this young man took an auto and under the advice of his mother approached me for help and prayer.
I prayed to the Lord asking for His guidance regarding this issue. And the Lord clearly spoke to me, asking me to go and meet his wife in person and talk to her, on behalf of this young man. Therefore taking their address I went to her house that same night. By then her brother from Dubai had flown to Chennai, owing to this matter and make a decision whether she should continue with him, a bad drunkard. When I knocked her door, she came to receive me and was very shocked to see me. She said. “Uncle how is it that you have come to our home at this point of time.” I said to her that I had come in need of her help and only she could help in solving my problem. Her parents including her brother said that they were ready to help me in whatever measure they could help in order to solve my problem. And immediately she said, “Uncle you are praying for thousands of people. You shouldn’t cry. I am willing to do anything that you ask for.” Then with tears in my eyes I asked her to cancel the case registered against her husband and his family and forgive him for his wrong doings and accept him once again and live with him. I told her about her husband’s visit to the Tower Of Refuge, and his confession that he wouldn’t drink again and would not cause further trouble to her instead he would keep her in good state.
The girl responded to my request and said, “ Uncle I will live with him, because You are a Prophet and You will surely say the right thing for me. Since You have asked, I shall cancel the case registered against my husband and his family.”The lawyer caused some problem but I told him that he should support the couple to join and not cause further commotion. Her brother wisely dealt the matter and sent him away. All seemed to be happy and peace prevailed in their house, I prayed for them and returned. Today the couple are happy living together. They attend all our meetings and he carries his two children and takes good care of his wife. Thus we see that a change came upon his wife. And the whole matter was solved amicably.
As a father pities his children, So the Lord pities those who fear Him. The young man repented of his sin and confessed that he wouldn’t commit sin again. Therefore God took pity on him and reunited his family. This was the miracle he expected when he came to the “ Tower of Refuge.”God answered his prayer. Yes, God comforts his children, as one whom his mother comforts. Further God says, I will have mercy on whomever, I will have mercy and I will have compassion on whomever I will have compassion. May this message help you to attain the mercy and compassion of God just as the young man who received God’s blessing.
Prayer: Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Lord teach us to make a change in our mind so as to walk in Your steps. Help us to listen to the voice of God and repent of our sins and never to repeat it again. We seek Your mercy and compassion Oh Lord. Enable us to be humble before God. And receive favour in the sight of God and man.
In Jesus name we pray.
Amen.
Dearly Beloved, I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you today is from the book of Isaiah 60:2. “But the Lord will arise over you. And His Glory will be seen upon You.”
From the above context we learn that when the Glory of the Lord descends upon a person, then even if you are in the dark you will begin to shine. You will arise and shine. Until yesterday, you have been saying, “I have been of no use to anybody. What is the use of living in this world? There is no meaning in my life.” I see in my spirit, that many of you reading this message are in a confused state of mind. You are so broken hearted and dejected in life. But the Lord is saying there is meaning in your life. Your life is going to be of great benefit to others. Therefore you need to live. Looking at your current situation never come to a conclusion that your life is useless.
God will help you to shine in the days to come. Then you will be like a city situated on the hill top. Because when the glory of the Lord will shine upon you, before others, all will behold, the glory of God, then you shall be lifted up. For every one shall be able to see the city that is set upon a hill top, which cannot be hid from the human eye. We may not be able to see someone, who is fallen in a deep pit, because it may be surrounded by high walls, or compounds. But when one is set on a hill top, you can easily be noticed, by everyone. May be until this day you had been a hidden agenda. You may have not been known by others. But in the future, you will be placed in an elevated position.
God has made an account of all your good works, that you had done unnoticed by others, and in the appointed time, God will exalt you, and honour you, before others. Joseph was a slave in the house of Potiphar. He was imprisoned in the jail for no fault of his. While in custody, both the baker and the butler had dreams. And they turned to Joseph for interpretation. The butler was told by Joseph that his dream portends his release. The baker, on the other hand, was told of his execution by hanging in three days time. Though he interpreted the dreams of the baker and the butler, they had forgotten the good deed he had done for them. But a day came and the life of Joseph changed totally. And Joseph was thirty years old when he stood before Pharaoh king of Egypt. Since he interpreted the dream of Pharaoh, he was honoured. Pharaoh took his signet ring from his finger and put it on Joseph’s finger. He dressed him in robes of fine linen and put a gold chain around his neck. He made him ride in a chariot as his second-in-command, and people shouted before him, “Make way !” Thus he put him in charge of the whole land of Egypt. This is how God exalts a person who fears the Lord God and waits upon God sincerely.
So never think your life is a waste. God can set you upon the hill for everyone to see and you shall shine, when the Glory of God, descends over you. All you need to do is to wait upon the Lord. The Bible says, “But those who wait on the Lord, shall renew their strength, They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary. They shall walk and not faint.” People would have all forgotten your good works that you had done for them, out of sincerity. But God is not unrighteous to forget your good works. God will silently keep watching, you and all of a sudden while you are unaware God will lift you up. Hallelujah! God is committed to honour your good works. God Bless you.
Prayer: Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Let the Glory of God descend upon us. And help us to shine in our lives. Help us to wait upon the Lord and never murmur about the conditions of our life. Teach us to believe that God will someday exalt us if we wait upon Him. Bless us, Oh Lord that we may excel in our lives.
In Jesus name we pray.
Amen
Dearly Beloved, I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our God, who created and formed us and who never ever forgets us.The blessed word that God has given for you, today is from the book of Ephesians 4:31,32 , “ Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.”
From the above context we come to know how important it is to forgive others. Forgiveness matters. Without forgiveness in our world of relationship, life would actually become unbearable: Forgiveness is particularly important for believers in Christ. That’s because believers are forgiven people. In these verses in Ephesians, the apostle Paul says that believers should forgive, as God has forgiven us. But forgiveness isn’t always easy. It’s particularly hard when the hurt is big, or when the person who caused the hurt refuses to acknowledge what they’ve done. We need to understand why forgiveness matters. When we do, we can see that forgiveness is not only possible for believers, it is also incredibly powerful for our lives and relationships.
The above verse refers to many kinds of sin, such as anger, rage, brawling and slander. But all these emotional nature of man is the outcome of bitterness. The Cure for bitterness is a Heavenly Vision. I wish to narrate the story of the blind songwriter Fanny Crosby who wrote more than 8,000 songs. When Fanny was just 6 weeks old a minor eye inflammation developed and the doctor who treated her was a quack and the potion (drink) that he prescribed resulted in her becoming totally and permanently blind! There was every reason for her to hoard bitterness against this doctor, But this Spirit filled woman harboured no bitterness against the physician and she said, “If I could only meet the doctor, I would say, “Thank you, over and over again for making me blind.” This may seem foolish. But Fanny Crosby considered her blindness to be a gift from God to help her write the 8000 hymns that flowed so freely from her pen.
Bitterness reflects a brooding grudge, filled attitude, an unwillingness to forgive or a harsh feeling. Bitterness is the opposite of sweetness and kindness. Only the attitude of Love finds a way to cover a multitude of sins. Apostle Peter, says, “Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins. Most important of all, continue to show deep love for each other, keep loving one another earnestly, since love covers a multitude of sins”. When Bitterness is removed from your heart then you will easily control anger, rage, brawling and slander.
Those of you who are reading this message may be suffering from bitterness against someone? Are you not able to forgive your foes? May be you were kind and helpful to others, but they did not understand you. You might have trusted your loved ones but they have cheated you. They might have slandered against you. Forgive them. God will be pleased with you. I see in my spirit some sisters suffering in your parent’s house just because your husband has deserted you. It pains to think that your parents had spent so much to get you married but now you are struck with grief and sorrow and loneliness right in your parent’s house. God is aware of your struggles. Try to forgive your husband. Pray for his salvation the Lord will open his eyes to understand how good you had been to him. Forgive your in-laws who were the cause for your separation. The Lord will magnify you. God will visit you in your affliction as He visited Hagar in the wilderness. Believe in God Almighty and you shall see the glory of God. God Bless You.
Prayer: Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Father, forgive us of any bitterness that we have harboured in our heart against others. Thank You that we have been forgiven by grace through faith in Christ. Help us to live our life acceptable unto God. And help us to be slow to anger, quick to forgive and abounding in steadfast love, kindness, compassion and forgiveness. Teach us to live for the glory of Jesus Christ.
In Jesus name we pray.
Amen.
